Instant crash after clicking on "Play".
Zenimax: Why do you bother to have a PTS if you do not properly track issues reported?
[Edit: added "64bit/32bit client, " in the list of things I tried.]

MSI GT 70 (nVidia 780m), Win7, followed all the suggested fixes (complete reinstall, deleting user settings, KB2999226 - wich was already installed, nVidia settings, disabeling all start programs, running as admin, running in compatibility modes, 64bit/32bit client, reinstalling VC redist, firewall settings (why?!?) ....). And yes, my system is up-to-date. And yes, the previous version ran just fine.
Had the problem already on PTS, reported it, nothing was done and I was promised thet it would be fixed in the final version.
Well, it wasn´t.

After selecting my character I see the Deshaan loading screen but then the ESO logo stops spinning and the loading screen turns black and when I ALT TAB I see the ESO crash report.
I tried repairing the game. Loading the 32 bit or 64 bit client does not change anything. I even changed settings in the user file to no avail. I also changed the settings back to original.
I have a desktop PC with an i5 4570 so integrated graphics driver cannot be a problem as it is disabled due to the fact I use a dedicated graphics card. Meaning I cannot run the Intel graphics driver update as it is not turned on and disabled.
....

Just a shot in the dark, but - have you tried ENabeling the internal chip?

This is not possible on a desktop. When using a dedicated graphics card the Intel graphics chip is automatically disabled. Desktops do not make use of the so called Optimus technology which lets you swap between graphics chips as in your notebook.
Having this problem. Game worked fine on my laptop before the latest updates. I deleted and downloaded / installed / patched the entire game again. Still crashes as soon as I start the game. I have the game via Steam if that helps.
