I do not support unrestricted class change. I support class change exclusively to the new class, every time a new class is added, available only to existing characters. Add a big red warning sign saying that the class change is PERMANENT, that the person won't be able to go back to the class they were before, and knock the class skills levels back to 0 (you are learning them all again after all, are you not?). That would be the best way to solve the issue, in my opinion.
It's funny how when saying ESO should be more like another MMO supports an argument that's the case (auction house) and when ESO being different helps that's the case.Have other MMO's in the past offered class changes when bringing in new classes?
I've not seen it, but then my MMO list has always been a bit more of the niche ones not mainstream.
Who cares about other MMOs??? Everyone says that ESO is different, that ESO is not WOW and so and now you ouse other MMOs on your favor! Pathetic!
Not you personally CarbonX but the community opinion over all.
In the same way that the results of a poll in the forum is only representative of the opinion of the players if it supports people's argument - otherwise, they pull the "not everybody visits the forums" argument (I actually saw the same person saying it against one poll and then going to another poll and mocking the OP because "turns out the player base is against you", on the same week).
Either way, I don't think the argument should be "other MMOs do it". More like, it is a player-friendly and decent thing for a company to offer when they add an option that wasn't there at release, be it class or race (and we already have race change).

Lol. Why? They earned it all anyways. Not like people will have something they didn't previous. If anything deleting those things would be lost forever. Makes no sense.
Oh you earned all those things? Well let's just delete all your achievements because you want to play a new class.

If I do this, can I change to that lvl3 character to the new Warden class?
This is even more important for those who have no free character slot. Or we will get character slot cap raise too?
Edit: -race, +class
It took me 9 months to complete the quest zones and craglorn, to completionist point, all skyshards, and all FG, MG, and main story questlines...doesnt include new zones.
The thought of changing classes is completely daunting. When i created my only toon, back in april 2014, i wanted to recreate my favorite toon from my favorite MMO (that i ironically stopped playing after getting into ESO). I was playing a BM hunter as my only toon in WoW...so this...this sucks. Now i have to start all over to get the experience ive wanted since launch. I would pay 50 bucks for a class change! Hell i would probably play one to level 50 and level up all morphs and class lines just to make sure it was what i wanted to pay for to change my main over
There no reason not to implement it, just because you guys dont want to see a player get to play a new class and retain old achievements and accomplishments? ***....off....im just trying to save me 9 months again, and also trying to satiate my completionist mentality, which doesnt let me enjoy the game untill my toon is achievment complete on quests/ exploration/ and skill lines/ skill points....completely turns me off from releveling...

Some people do like to play through everything with a single character. And the introduction of the Warden class would force them to create an alt if they want to play a Warden. So I can see their point of view on that.
ZOS has been about letting players experience all the content on a single character if that is their chosen playstyle. As long as no achievements are involved with it, I say why not sell class change tokens in the Crown Store?
This is the first time we've had a new class so I wouldn't be surprised if the demand for class change tokens increases in the future. It would be an easy money maker for ZOS.
It should take you around 1 week to make out all skills, passives and so on whith just normal questing, skyshard hunting and so on.
The biggest problem is the grind for other achievments, such as motifs, dark anchors, AvA rank and so on.
It is just stupid to regrind all that rubbish again, it is bad enough as it is right now, do it all over again? damn.....

@ZOS_GinaBruno are you increasing the character limit now that we will have a new class?
disregard my previous message, just saw your post "To confirm, we do plan on adding the option to purchase two additional character slots from the Crown Store when we release Morrowind in June. "
Thanks!
