Class change service and the new Warden class

I start a new character now, because of the riding lessons. I don't play with it just learn riding lessons in the next 4 month I can learn enough riding lessons.
If I do this, can I change to that lvl3 character to the new Warden class?

This is even more important for those who have no free character slot. Or we will get character slot cap raise too?

Edit: -race, +class

Hopefully. If Warden were available from the start, my main would have been a Warden. Certainly not going to delete a 2 year old character to salvage who he is and punt it into a new Warden character.

No, please. People should level new wardens from scratch. Otherwise we will have bunch of cp600 wardens and people who have no idea how to play with them.

I'm not sure what game you're playing, but I encounter cp561+ people all. the. time. that have no idea how to play their class or fill their role. It only takes a few hours to grind to 50 on a new character. This is not preventing people from being inexperienced Wardens, but the lack of it is preventing people from changing characters to a class that they would be happier with.

A class change token is unneccessary, people should just level their characters like the average peasant. It takes no more than a day if you know how to powerlevel. I would suspect there are some coding issues with this too, otherwise ZOS would already have released a token like this to make more moolah.

As for an extra character slot or two, I agree wholeheartedly that it should be included with Morrowind, given how high the price actually is.

Nothing is different. We will see other class chars in this situation too. Level alts properly and do not ask for shortcut, I mean.

A "shortcut"? Haha, yes. I want to shortcut myself into changing a character into a class that better suits the way I would've liked to play them in the first place.
I want to shortcut all the things I've already done
I want to shortcut not having to delete a character to make space for one of a new class in defeat

I'm not sure how people see levelling to 50 as an achievement, you can do it in a sensory deprivation room by strapping a rubber band to a trigger and dumping your character next to a dolmen. Or, less bot-y, buy some ambrosia/xp scrolls and do it in a few hours.

    Silly!

Join a dolmen train and you can 0 to 50 in one day. CP are account bound.

So really all requiring people to play wardens as a new character achieves is forcing them to either start the horse training grind from scratch or pay money to avoid that.

    That is all.

    This. So much this.

Otherwise the Warden class will be useless to me. I've been wanting a frost-based skill line that does not require a staff since the beginning of the game. I am grateful that they are introducing it earlier than I expected, but the character I'd want to use such skills with has been created long ago, gaining dust while patiently waiting for what is now known as the Warden to come by and a wardrobe system to be implemented (so I can wear what I want without being squishy.) I'd hate to have to delete her; all the work I've done to build her up, all the tasks accomplished, as well as creating her unique appearance in the first place.

I dont really see the problem. They would still have to level skill trees and heck that takes longer then grinding to 50.

And honestly leveling teaches you nothing. You can do it with one attack mapped.

Have other MMO's in the past offered class changes when bringing in new classes?

I've not seen it, but then my MMO list has always been a bit more of the niche ones not mainstream.

But CP is account-wide and available to any alt of any level already

And you can lvl to 50 in one evening of grinding if you set your mind to it.

Really, I see this reasoning being thrown around a lot but it just doesn't make sense in this game.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

It's funny how when saying ESO should be more like another MMO supports an argument that's the case (auction house) and when ESO being different helps that's the case.

Not you personally CarbonX but the community opinion over all.

In the same way that the results of a poll in the forum is only representative of the opinion of the players if it supports people's argument - otherwise, they pull the "not everybody visits the forums" argument (I actually saw the same person saying it against one poll and then going to another poll and mocking the OP because "turns out the player base is against you", on the same week).

Either way, I don't think the argument should be "other MMOs do it". More like, it is a player-friendly and decent thing for a company to offer when they add an option that wasn't there at release, be it class or race (and we already have race change).

I do not support unrestricted class change. I support class change exclusively to the new class, every time a new class is added, available only to existing characters. Add a big red warning sign saying that the class change is PERMANENT, that the person won't be able to go back to the class they were before, and knock the class skills levels back to 0 (you are learning them all again after all, are you not?). That would be the best way to solve the issue, in my opinion.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

According to the Morrowind Announcement, "And you may indeed want to give a new character a go, as Morrowind introduces the first new class since ESO launched." Based upon this and the fact that ZOS has said numerous times they are not planning to add Class changes, I would say NO, there will not be Class change options.

While I agree that this would be bad, people will be able to find out how to play Warden within an hour of play. People don't need to spend a hundred hours leveling.
Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 11 years. 8 paid expansions. 29 dungeon and zone DLCs. 45 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. Just because Cadwell Silver&Gold failed doesn't mean the game should be brain dead easy forever.

"ESO doesn't need a harder overland" on YouTube for a video of a naked level 3 character w/ no CP allocated AFKing in front of a bear for a minute and a half before dying if you don't believe me change is needed.

Some people do like to play through everything with a single character. And the introduction of the Warden class would force them to create an alt if they want to play a Warden. So I can see their point of view on that.

ZOS has been about letting players experience all the content on a single character if that is their chosen playstyle. As long as no achievements are involved with it, I say why not sell class change tokens in the Crown Store?

This is the first time we've had a new class so I wouldn't be surprised if the demand for class change tokens increases in the future. It would be an easy money maker for ZOS.
