Zone chat spies is so old school. To do real damage you just run a PUG group on an opposing alliance, set auto invite to pick up all the LFG spammers then lead them into an AP farm trap for your buddies or on some fools errand away from where the action is going to be.

EP doesn't even listen to it's own Zone chat. Any so called "spy" who relayed these "strategies" to the other faction would in fact be totally misleading them.

Unless, of course, the it was a message to AD that a horde of EP potatoes was incoming to Alessia front door.

Just relax, play the game, and try to enjoy the fights.

I like faction hopping. I also like using different builds and races because using the same old Stamblade for 18 months would get boring.

TBH I have yet to see this whole spying stuff. Or I'm just blind to and don't really care.

You either out number the enemies zerg on a siege or you don't. Look at last night with Fare and DC and AD lol.

And sure, you will always have that tool who gives the scroll back to the other alliance.

ESO tried the one Campaign for each toon thing. Azura's Star was the busy one and I'm pretty sure each of the 3 alliances had their own campaign as the map was usually one colour.

Solo PvP and PvE most of the time.

Zos would kill PVP for A LOT of players by faction locking. Believe it or not, people actually have friends on other factions. Believe it or not, games are meant to be played to have fun. If I want to play on my EP/DC with my mates I'm not going to regrind a whole new account to do it.

Well I did not suggest that in the first place, but believe it or not you need to do whats best for the game and make it fair period. There are other options without driving people away as mentioned in previous posts.

This is the kind of crap that drives players away from pvp since its just a video game, also its not about loyalty, its about what is fair and balanced.

Zos need to do what is best to make money. Making it fair isn't possible, because how could they possibly keep people playing together (different factions wise) with faction locks?

PVP is dying, ESO has and always will be a PVE game. You're better off waiting on a new game than waiting for balance and fairness in ESO PVP.

Spying happens, particularly annoying when it's someone relaying to the emp's group. Not a huge issue though, just stop using zone chat once you figure out you're being eavesdropped.

As far as faction loyalty, I only play AD, and over the years I developed some love/hate for certain red and blue players. But, to be honest the ones I dislike the most now are the yellows who switched over. Which for the most part is the exact opposite of what people say, most these people switched to more populated factions that are already winning the campaigns. There is some strange false belief that just cause one PC guild swapped alliances to help, that everyone in ESO who swaps is doing it for the health of PvP. Ha, no, not at all. Majority of ESO players are scrubby bottom feeders that just want to ride the coattails of the winning alliances.

There are however, ridiculously awesome players that play all three, majority though, no.

Maybe if they made the rewards for players in second and third place a bit better than 20/10 wall repair kits and a few 1000 gold, people might be less inclined to switch to the winning faction where they get 10K+ gold, and a chance at purple jewlery, and 2 or more purple armor pieces but you get at least 2 or 3 purple or blue armor pieces/weapons.

I am all for zos making money and not driving people away, but how would being locked in a faction per week drive people away? I highly doubt that, guild wars 2 locks people in per server yet people do not have an issue with it.

Lots of people in GW2 have secondary accounts on different servers.

Same thing happened with ESO. People had different accounts with characters in different factions on the same campaign which is why faction lock does nothing. You could also guest with a friend to a different faction and that happened all the time. Your AD characters were homed in TF, but you wanted to play there on your EP character with your EP friends who were homed there. So you just grouped with them and went in.

saturday i think it was every time i said where my grp was headed in zone we had a raid waiting of ep at said keep so we started giving false info to our locations. Sure enough people in zone would call out ep forming up where we said we were headed, basically guilds can coordinate in tells or setup command channel with each other but zone has never been a good place to post info when you need things done. You can always setup at a keep then call in zone for more to show right b4 said keep is lit. I have always been a huge supporter of faction locks for campaigns, i just dont see the point in swapping between all 3 sides in what is suppose to be a competition to win. You have friends on other sides why not play on a different campaign with them problem solved
