Our entire guild premise is built on distrust, lies and military level psychological torture techniques.
We emotionally and psychologically damage each other until simple acts of betrayal mean nothing when your guild mates have been verbally water boarding you for a couple years.
And the puppies??

How do you guys deal with it?

Perhaps try enjoying the fights for a change, instead of stressing over other people's loyalties and actions. Or the relationships you make with your friends. This game would be awful if you couldn't play and interact with people on multiple factions.
EDIT: You do realize there are spies and shady ethics in real world war too, right? Do you want this game to mimic real conflict for you to maneuver and try to win, or do you want to play in a carebear bubble where no one ever does anything wrong according to your narrow, unrealistic, and restrictive definition?

What if there was pick an alliance per week thing?

That's actually quite a good idea - have all your characters "alliance free" then choose which faction you want to lock your account to. Obviously there would need to be an option to change alliances for your account though (with some sort of cost involved)...

i am a moron, please tell me how faction locking campaigns is bad? it encourages faction loyalty.
rofl, then why does dc keep winning tf? we dont win because ep and ad swap over. we win even with ad and ep teaming up consistantly. sure you may see dc attacking ep and ad attacking ep and such, but you will never see dc and ad or dc and ep fighting side by side. because dc is the highest capita of alliance loyalists. we enjoy it. we enjoy it when we win, we enjoy it when we lose. dc is our alliance, and we will fight to win. fyi 100 players swap to winning alliance, for every 1 player who tries to balance out alliances. this is a solid part of why dcers are the highest capita of alliance loyalists. we stayed loyal when dc went 5 months straight without a win and the non loyalist dcers went to ad and ep.

In my experience, the big guilds and their raid leaders usually have a private back-channel to coordinate who's attacking what. PUG's aren't privy to that. It's never in zone.
A lot of people I know PVP on different sides in TS. They're just regular people who are friends playing a video game. So yeah, assume nothing in open zone is secret and get over it.
