This has been mentioned before a few times and I had always hoped it would never be a thing.
I've been in groups with CP500+ players who obviously leveled from Level 1 and still don't know how to play their class.
So your point is wholly invalid.

Hell no! What would I do with those characters once they reach level 50 then?
Play endgame PvE trials or dungeons or PvP, the whole reason for leveling in the first place.
Besides it is unlikely that you will have every achievement in the game even after completing gold.

EARN WHAT?
It's actually the most obscenely baffling thing to me that people think getting to level 50 on a new character is an accomplishment on any class, especially after the second, 8th, 10th...

If someone buys a class change, or otherwise reaches the end without any work, it seems to speak for itself. But that person who runs a character you mention that started at level one that can't play it very well: How do we really know they did start it? It could be borrowed, bought, or played by multiple people.

They are pointing out "earn what" means doing quests, achievements, etc on a per character basis shouldn't be given to any new character

Going all the way back....how does allowing you to change your class impact "me" or others?
The game shares experiences unless it's a solo only instance with everyone. If the developers were to enable anyone to change their class, it has a huge impact on everyone.
@NewBlacksmurf
No, it doesn't.
What impacts you is if there other players around or not.
Their race, faction and class is 100% irrelevant and has no impact you on whatsoever.

If we had a class change, everyone would just change to the new FOTM every time a new patch hits.

TequilaFire wrote: »For those who reply it takes no time to level to 50 that is not the issue.
It takes avery long time to unlock riding and crafting skill which is necessary to even craft furniture in housing.
Ever try to ride across Cyrodiil on a level 10 mount even though your character has reached lvl 50 CP160?
Achievements account wide are the real issue.
Oreyn_Bearclaw wrote: »Long thread, didnt read it all, but I will say this: Account Wide Achievements would solve this. The worst thing about having a bunch of alts is that you will never get your achievement points very high, as you typically spread them around. I am not suggesting removing individual character achievements, because I know that is important to some people, but we need an additional account wide achievement tab. Things like title could still be character specific.
For example, just to get all RP on you. I have not touched thieves guild or Dark Brotherhood on my main (if I even have on of those anymore). He is a stand up kinda guy. I did both on one of my alts, because he is a bit of a shady dude. I wish there was some place I could go to see what content in the game I have left to complete as a player, not as a character.

Everyone is "Wow! Warden! New class! OMG! So cool! Warden! Wow!"... ... ...
I only use one character and I do everything with him in the game, from PvE, to PvP, to try go get all achievements in the game, etc.
So, new content is coming, I have to pay for it if I want it, but I'm forced to put my current character aside and play all the game again if I want to use the Warden? Why? (I know Morrowind has a lot of stuff to do, but this thread points to the use of the new class only).
Why I can't have an option to use the Warden with the character I have now (class change)?
Why am I forced to start the game from scratch and repeat all I have been doing for +2 years if I want to play with the Warden?
Or, am I also forced to create a Warden character, don't do any PvE (well, forcedly some to level it up) and use it for PvP only?
Why this game forces people to have more than one character and so do all things over again?
How I see things; ZOS doesn't think nor cares for players that play just one character.
Class change please, even if with crowns.

That could make sense, if it were referring to a new character. Thread is not about some instant level up button, we just want to be able to make characters into a different class. Take away all my levels, skyshards, titles, idc what. Just want to keep my character and his crafting unlocks and such. I've done all these things on him already, don't expect them to be any harder on a Wardenstrikeback1247 wrote: »Gandrhulf_Harbard wrote: »NewBlacksmurf wrote: »@Gandrhulf_Harbard

...okay? People already do that now, but having 8/10 characters of any given class and resource focus. It would take anyone a short while to level a new character to 50 and it would be much cheaper than paying for a class change. If someone would really find it more worthwhile to pay $$$ to class change instead of doing a menial grind for nearly the same result(in fact, the grind option leaves you with a character to fall back in if the "fotm" changes), let them?

I don't think everyone would.
Some would for sure.
But I still don't see how what I do or do not play has any impact on you or anyone else.
It's ZOS's job to balance the classes so there is a workable distribution, not ours.

OK ok then we'll if it is all irrelevant and has no effect, then why don't we all run hybrid, argonIan, nb through some trials.
That shouldn't have any impact on compete img the trial right?
This isn't about optimal builds, which is a separate issue entirely.

Y'all are kidding yourselves if you don't think ZOS will add a "class change to Warden" token in the Crown Store for like 6,000 Crowns when the expansion hits. lol

No they won't.
I'm smart enough to know that if I do that I let them win. So if I am forced to start totally from scratch I'll simply not spend any money at all, not even on those pay-to-win elements you claim to despise.

When I bought my Renault Megane IV at the end of last year, there was no Megane IV RS. In 2018 there will be but I can't freely replace my car with it. :'(
You read my whole comment? I didn't say "freely", I even mentioned paying for it. Yes, same as you can pay to replace your car in your comment.
