OP, i read the patch notes you linked and under the heading "Craft Bags" it says " ESO Plus members will have access to Crafter bags"
Not sure what your trying to point out.
NewBlacksmurf wrote: »NewBlacksmurf wrote: »"The base game patch also features"
Also would be in addition to. So you have the base game patch and in addition to that you get all the other stuff mentioned.
@kargen27
Just asking for clarification here.
If something such as the base game "also features" something that's referring to the "base game" and that an aspect of that includes or now has X
It seems you're saying that's not what it means?
It means when they did the update for the base game they included crafting bags for ESO+ members. They were a part of the also.
@kargen27
But that's not what's written and it's even clarified in the intro and later in the notes and placed under base game not under dlc or ESO plus sections.
I think...
They should increase the normal bank space from 240 max to at least 400 max(by buying with in game gold and/OR crowns) so non subbing players can also keep up. Subbers would still have a huge advantage, but non subbers would still have at least some precious space.
How many items(that we would be expected to want/need to save) have been added to the game since the max space was increased to 240? That extra 297(number of different crafting items, unless I am missing some) plus if more than one of each stack on crafting items is just too huge a gap not to give other players some kind of bone.
I am a subscriber, by choice.... The idea of ZOS grabbing me by the *** and forcing me to pay makes me want to unsubscribe. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
My sub comes up in May... I believe I will end up not renewing it because of this and also dependent on CP cap increase or not. No cap increase gives me no real reason to play, and the crafting bag I feel sh.it on over.
The crafting bag equates to at least 297 extra bag space, assuming only one stack of each mat. That's a huge *** difference.
I want to subscribe because I like the game, not because I am forced to.
These hypocritical people will jusr buy morrowind and continue to bark on you in protection to every ZoS solution.NewBlacksmurf wrote: »So I'm taking a very aggressive tone with some of you in the forums.
Before anyone gets too upset, I want to remind people of my feedback threads and many comments around ZOS' decision to go against their original claim that all base game updates would not require a sub.
See crafting bags is a base game update but it requires ESO Plus to gain full access.
Fast forward through all the harsh and tough comments made to me which mostly suggested....shut up and sub
Now all the subscribers who kept telling ppl they need to sub and who have literally bashed those who don't sub, seem to have experienced the same happening.
Morrowind as we heard today won't be accessible via ESO Plus.
Do you all want to talk about crafting bags now and being mislead????

I agree that it changes the game experience to a large extent, but not having it doesn't prevent anyone from playing the entire game, not from being a full blown crafter.
Whereas, if you don't have Vvardenfell (err... I mean, Morrowind Online) obviously you can't play that content.
That's a big difference - hence why the "expansion" trick is way shadier than the crafting bag incentive.
I'll remember all the good things we got for free (essentially, the festivals and seasonal events), all the hours of fun I have with this game (which makes it a pretty cheap hobby "per hour"), buy the "expansion" and sweep my salt under the rug. But it's still shady.
@anitajoneb17_ESO
I'm not saying anything about its use actually. That's as you say and is fine
What I'm saying for those who are expressing that they were mislead that ESO plus would always give them access to any future dlc is the same as the expectation during the same announcement that a sub wouldn't be required for any future base game updates.
Make sense?
Yes, and it made sense in your original post too. My answer is still valid, in the sense that, in my opinion, the crafting bag is not an "update", it's a "convenience feature", whereas Vvardenfell is an update. I see why you draw a parallel here but I don't think the comparison stands.
But I understand. I wasn't loud back then but I also was frustrated when the crafting bag appeared as the 1st "sub-exclusive" feature.
Now we have cash-exclusive features. And we still have crown-exclusive stuff (like crown store motifs). And crate exclusive stuff too !
So we have four different "payment" methods, each with overlapping stuff but also with exclusive stuff. To push us into buying in all 4 different systems.
That's... maximizing profit, I guess.
So you're basically arguing that it wasn't in the right place? Even if it's in the wrong place, they at least said ESO Plus members will now receive access to the Craft Bag.

You're being disingenuous at best. Since the beginning of MMOs, expansions have had to be paid for to access. This is no different. You just don't want to pay for it. To say you've been lied to or it's not about the money is just entitlement b.s. It's absolutely about the money. You want something for nothing.
And for the record, I'm a subscriber and I've been playing MMOs for over a decade. I expect this - it's standard practice for the genre. I didn't expect all the crying though. Holy shnikeys it's embarrassing.

Yes, just as I have been telling you and you quoted it again. Crafting bags for ESO+ members was included in the base game patch. Nobody is arguing whether or not it was included with the base game patch. It obviously was. Base game simply means you do not need to purchase DLC to have access. ESO+ members with no DLC have crafting bags. Makes sense that it be added to the game along with a base patch. You do not have to buy any additional content to get crafting bags. All you need to do is subscribe. If you were forced to purchase Wrothgar DLC to get the crafting bags you would have a point. Being a subscriber I am hoping they will come out with more ESO+ exclusive benefits.

Really what has is irked is how they're going about it. It's still dlc, an expansion is still dlc. Just because it's on a disc doesn't prove anything.
ESO gold has all previous dlc on the disc, does that mean the old dlcs are now expansion?
Subs have fully supported the game and are reasonable with our complaints.
I've been a sub since it came out on Xbox.
Not just because of the perks, but I knew that more money should mean more content.
Subs should have covered things like the previous dlc like orcinium and IC.
As time went on look at what dlc turned into, each getting smaller than the previous.
Instead of getting actual content to show where all the money is going to, we get cosmetic stuff that doesn't really add any value to the game.
Then the cash crates came out, I wasn't opposed to the idea as I knew it would bring in more cash to make stuff.
All future dlc will be trash worth of content just like the destiny dlcs.

Craft Bags
ESO Plus members will now receive access to the Craft Bag.
- Craft Bags are an additional inventory section which does not count against your inventory limit, is shared across all characters on the account, and can hold an effectively unlimited number of all basic crafting supplies.
- If your membership expires, you will still have access to the resources stored in your Craft Bag, but you will be unable to add any new materials to it.
- Loot that goes to your Craft Bag has a special call out in the Loot History.
- Crafting Materials from your inventory and account bank will automatically go to the Craft Bag upon login.
- Items can be manually retrieved from the Craft Bag in maximum stacks of 200. Retrieved items can also be manually stowed back into the Craft Bag.

@kargen27
Actually people are arguing that
You're missing the context completely
Did you listen to the ESO live starting at approx 17:00 ?
The context said there and what was written under One Tamriel and ESO plus until they changed it....was that "all base game updates would not require a subscription".
Technically they never said I wouldn't have to buy it with dlc. That actually isn't an issue
I'm trying to see where you are coming from, but I still can't. I like to be partial about these things. So basically they said "All base game updates would not require a subscription", then we look back at past patch notes and see that Crafting Bags are 'considered' to be part of the base game updates and written under Base Game.....therefore, it should be a base game feature. Is this interpretation, correct?
@Qyrk
Yes but it is still a base game feature. The ESO plus gates adding items into it tho with a required subscription which they said they wouldn't do.
And Matt F even goes on to say he hates hating content for players behind paywalls ....and yet BAM
Yes, so if a hypothetical scenario is that they said the same ""All base game updates would not require a subscription", then the patch notes places Crafting Bags in the DLC section, will we have this confusion?

Did you go and read the actual patch notes?
I'm asking because in your comments you're suggesting context clue would determine something other than what's clearly written and what was clearly commented on at that time that they chose to lock a base game feature behind a sub.
It's not what you're suggesting
If you're quoting the patch notes and simultaneously telling people they need to go read the patch notes, then you're failing.
I read the patch notes back then. I read the section you quoted. You're still wrong.
@willlienellson
Wrong about what exactly.
Are you suggesting the crafting bag literally isn't a base game feature only accessible from ESO plus?
Honestly asking based on your comments. I want to follow what you're suggesting?

Thank you. I've got it figured at where the community division is. Eso pandered to the B2p market and Barbi doll churn player they double dipped and shined the player base that played all of Eso as a premium. It's now backfiring when they offer true content and expect people to pay the churn casual is freaking out. I personally think they should change the whole buisness model back to premium only. Here is the bottom line if you were subbing to get the dlc's your dumb the only reason to sub was for the restriction on needed features like crafting riding and at one time gear restriction. You could have spent 60 dollars and gotten all the content for ever . Personally I didn't even bother playing the tripe that DB TG was. I subbed for the ability to play the game effectively. If your upset about marketing and buisness practices you should be pissed the game went B2p that's what ruined eso. But all the participation trophy generation wanted their option so there ya go don't cry now that your baby demands and Zos greed ruined eso for the community that wanted a premium MMO .
