Plans to add flags to Cheydinhal and Weynon Priory?

Town capture was a nice addition to Cyrodiil, but as it stands, there are only 3 towns and their locales have the potential to skew the outcome of the War.

Bruma lies in a somewhat neutral area between DC/EP, but Vlastarus and Cropsford give both DC and EP an easily-acquired spawn point with fast access to important AD nodes. The detrimental effects on AD are generally subtle, but it is a problem and EP was able to use this advantage consistently during the most recent NA TF campaign.

Please add flags in Cheydinhal and Weynon Priory to level the playing field.

Thanks!

I am not a huge fan of flags as a method of objective ownership.

But we need more objectives, and flags get the job done.

So flags, ZOS. Flags everywhere! And have them all count toward the campaign!

Flags in IC sewers too. It'll drive DLC purchases and participation, and can only be a positive change on the game unless one faction happens to purchase inordinately more DLCs than both other factions, which is not going to happen with the growth of this game.

    (I'm just ranting now.)

I'd wager entire new guilds would spring up participating in the campaigns with that change alone. Hell, Legion XIII would fight for the Trueflame campaign all night, every night if there were well designed, contested objectives in the sewers specifically and no lag. The district flags are designed horribly. We were born an all mageblade small group in IC's sewer glory days. Sometimes we bombed zergs...sometimes we specced for proper scraps with proper guilds...but we moved through the sewers like water and always fought on our terms. I want that baaaaaack!!

Someone will suggest adding a flag in the middle of the Alessia bridge, however this would flip so often in TF it would crash the game before a score round was completed.

Wait, there isn't a flag there already?!!! With all the people fighting on the bridge one would think...

I am pretty sure in zone chat, I have seen comments that people fighting on the bridge are not thinking...

@Solariken just took a quick look at the a map:
    Cyrodiil-Mundus.jpg
you have a very legit point...AD definitely caught the short end of the straw on the town respawns...

good call too on weynon priory and cheydinhal...seems like DC and EP should share in the pleasure of having an enemy spawn point close to their back keeps...

No EP use Cropsford to attack AD. It is too close to Drake to be worth death-porting to. It is actually used by AD attacking Drake however.

That said, Vlastrus definitely is the short end of the straw.

There is no reason other than ignorance as to why AD has 2 towns in its vicinity and EP/DC share 1. They are just open ports for EP and DC to back door that faction. If you want to back door EP/DC, you have to run it and hope you can get a camp off. Bruma doesn't count for either as it's almost mid center. All it's good for is capping Bleakers. Map balance doesn't exist.

This was highly argued while on PTS and ZOS simply ignored it. This is one of the reasons AD has been so screwed on TF for the last 6 months. We are constantly trying to defend not just 3 tri keeps but now 2 more objectives. While EP and DC simply push ROE and ALLESSIA. In the last 3 TF campaigns AD has lost 1 or both scrolls at least 9 times while EP and DC have only lost scrolls 3 times. It is a measurable advantage for EP and DC and it's time that it is changed.

@ZOS_BrianWheeler you guys also forgot to remove the generic patrolling guard NPC's - for example, Cropsford has hostile Pact Guards walking around regardless of who owns the town. Please remove these, they are unnecessary bloat at this point. Also less NPC's could mean better performance, eh?

The guards are based on who owns the nearby keep, Drake for your example.

I'm not sure that's the case, @Astanphaeus, as I've only ever seen Pact Guards there. Either way though, they are highly unnecessary based on how the towns work now.
