Wait... You're disputing his claim of "add 10 hours more content than the DLC Orsinium" by saying that the stream today claimed 30 hours of content for Morrowind? I believe that's what's known as confirming his claim of "10 hours more content" not disputing it.SunfireKnight86 wrote: »DaveMoeDee wrote: »SydneyGrey wrote: »The whining tonight is driving me to drink.

Close enough.
I've played pretty much every Bethesda game since Morrowind, and they've always considered expansions separate from what people term "DLC." Always. I guess that's why I'm just not too upset about the expansion being priced separate and not included in ESO Plus. I can understand people who've been subbing for a long time being upset because perhaps they thought that every single thing would be considered DLC. Perhaps the company should have specified that major expansions wouldn't be considered DLC.
Did you sub to Skyrim? Did you have a Dishonored sub?
What content wasn't included in the Fallout 4 season pass? When Bethesda came up with more content for the Fallout 4 season pass, they they sell it separately? Or did they just raise the price of the season pass for future sales to better reflect the amount of content, while honoring the original marketing of the season pass?
Your comment really doen't add anything beyond the shallow argument of harping on the word "expansion". Add 10 hours more content than the DLC Orsinium and now it is an expansion. Doesn't matter. It doesn't change their deceptive marketing with ESO+ in light of planning to go 3 quarters without providing quarterly DLC.
Whew! Well lookie what we got here. You must share your review of the content that hasn't come out with us. That length would be especially surprising since they said there's 30 hours of story content in the stream today.http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/2015/10/05/orsinium-launch-details-and-new-videoOrsinium Launch Details wrote:The Orsinium DLC game pack, which boasts over 20 hours of story content and quests

No, actually, it isn't. It only seems that way if you're butchering the English language to try and make a point.

They have never been the same thing. I've been (EDIT:ONLINE) gaming since Buffy the Vampire Slayer was that new ***. Trust me. DLC has always been smaller. Much smaller. Some companies would have called Wrothgar an xpac back in the day.

It's extremely common to use the term interchangeably in the gaming industry. Here is Gamespot calling Orsinium an expansion pack.
So people use the term wrong, and you think suddenly ZOS should give you tons of content for fifteen dollars. Got it. For a minute I thought you were just talking nonsense.
It's not $15. It's $180 a year.
And I'll ask you again, do you sub? How many crowns have you bought in this game?
The subs are the ones who supported this game over the years with their money. Yet all I see is non-subs complaining about subs being "entitled".
No, it's $15 a month. You can stop any time you want before you reach $180. But I bet that's ZOS fault too, huh?
You didn't answer my question again. You seem very passionate about calling people who spend $180 a year on the game cheap. Please share with us how much money you've spent on this game. I'll be waiting.

Except they said it's more than twice as big as Wrothgar. But sure, whatever keeps gasoline on that temper tantrum. Go ahead, exaggerate away!
EDIT: Or the people who datamined it did. My B. They only described it as "huge" and "feeling like a whole new game". Excuse me. But let's not forget new dungeons, new factions, new class, new PvP, and who the hell knows what else! You deserve it for fifteen dollars!
I'm not going to quibble while you people pull random numbers out of your ass. I trust what they said in the stream I literally just watched for a second time way more than anything you're spewing.
Here's a simple solution: Don't buy it if it hurts your feelings. Problem solved. Next.
Band Camp statements: To state "But this one time I saw X doing X... so that justifies X" Refers to the Band camp statement.

Really. That's interesting. Let me show you a screenshot of that link with the relevant text highlighted (which actually makes it difficult to read, but if you go to the link and check out the corresponding spot you'll see that it very clearly states 20 hours of story and quest content, exactly like it did in the text that I copied and pasted directly from the link):SunfireKnight86 wrote: »Random numbers like the ones ZOS said in the quote and link I so helpfully provided for you?

That link you posted that says "twenty hours" literally nowhere in it.

I love how you assume that just because I'm pointing out factual errors in what you're saying I'm stomping my feet and holding my breath for ZOS to change their minds on this. In fact, I'm trying desperately to find out how I can preorder the physical collectors edition (which doesn't yet seem to be possible in Canada). It just so happens that you're wrong about a ton of things you're saying.SunfireKnight86 wrote: »Look, I know you're desperate to have everyone agree with you. Accept it and move on.

@SunfireKnight86
No need to act condescending but since you addressed my point and backed it with wikipedia (I don't find that credible one bit but that's fine)please do address how invalidating one currency you pay for with real money so you cannot use that same thing to buy this new content.
I've been online MMO gaming since runescape looked like stick figures moving so I'm not sure how addressing your online gaming experince in any statement addresses invalidating crowns you paid for with real money, when it comes to buying the a new piece of content.

Maybe it is huge because there is a big mountain you can't access in the middle? And, btw, Cyrodiil is huge. That isn't enough unless you wanted horse riding simulator.
Your last sentence is juvenile. No one is asking for that. Just shows your inability to discuss a topic honestly. You are clearly wrong, as others have show with the actual text ZOS provide showing the 20 hour claim, yet you are quick to talk of 'temper tantrums' and other people's supposed exaggerations. You are a smug Mr Know-it-all while saying something that everyone reading the thread can see is demonstrably false.
