The sub is not much. Most people pay way more for much more useless things each month. You want to use the bag? ...
This is the best part in every crafting bag thread over there. People stating unsubs just want everything for free.
Well, I actually contribute, from my unsubbed position, keeping the lights on as much as you do.
I expend in crowns probably more than how much I would by subbing (and probably more than how much you do).
The reason I'm not subbing is that I don't play every day or every week. Still this does not mean I am here ignoring keeping the servers up has its own cost.
Basically the crown bag only for subs is a poor design choice. It's a complete gamebreaking perk that gives subs an unfair advantage in every side of the game. I admint that there should be some kind of perk for subs and I would have used the merchant and banker assistants for this purpose. Assistants are usefull still not breaking any balance of the game, like the crafting bag does.
In my opinion, whoever deny that craft bag is unbalanced and unfair, is just using bad faith, neglecting a sign of bad health of the game.
I don't get your logic. If you truly spend more money on crowns than you would if you subbed, then why not sub? I get that you said you don't play all the time, but if you really spend more on crowns than you would spend if you subbed, why do you willingly pay more to get less? I love people who don't sub because they think it is a waste of money if they can't play everyday, yet spend more money on microtransactions than they would subbing. It is people like that that make games go to cash shop ideas. You don't need to play everyday to get value out of your sub.
hmm not 100% true. as a general rule of thumb, pricing of zones in games to buy outright in the format eso has adopted is usually 2-3 months of sub equivalent to what they normally sell crowns for. for example, i can buy 60,000 crowns in wizard101 normally for 60 usd, sub is 10 usd a month, and i can purchase an entire new world (new content) for 10,000 - 12500 crowns. so from cost effective point of view, its more cost effective to buy areas directly. so what they do to make subs more viable, is offer perks to subs, once month a random bonus event occurs, from double pet training xp, to double garden harvests/xp, free respect (in that game costs crowns to respec skills outside your class you have learned). you get 70 additional inv spots, more energy for training and gardening ect, free access to ranked pvp, this means while its more cost effective to buy a world directly, when you compare the other aspects to the sub, the sub can actually win out in certain aspects. for example avid pvpers would do better to sub, same for players who can run all toons through a world in 1 month.
so end result is, you cannot simply say that subbing is more cost effective. now i am 100% for subbing if you do crafting, if you dont crafting, then there really no need to be subbed. a noncrafter has no need for a mats bag, they would make money off selling gear directly or decon gear and sell mats on traders then to horde the mats.
