That's probably because they played for a week and then left the game, never to be seen again.Stormahawk wrote: »ZOS said that 50% of players never upgraded bank or bag space and that is why there are no storage options with the housing update.

Apparently I am one of the 3% of the playerbase that has done that. Seems a bit unbelievable that its that low.
.
It depends how it's calculated. I also have 12 chars, with bank maxed out and inventory maxed out on 8 of them. For the remaining 4 characters, I cannot possibly max them out quicker than the daily horse riding lesson ingame for each of them. It's limited to 1 per 20 hours per char. Unless I spend crowns for it, which I obviously don't want to.
So in my eyes, they are all "maxed out" because I've done all I could do without spending RL money. But 4 of them are not yet at 200 bag space. So they're not actually maxed out.
Now how did ZOS make this statistic ? Per character ? Per account ? If it is per account, then I don't belong to those 3% - even though inventory space IS my highest priority in the game and I've done everything I could on ALL my characters.
If it is calculated per character, then 8 of my chars belong to those 3% and 4 of my chars don't...
The truth is, you cannot really make any use or interpretation of any statistics if you don't know in detail the data used and the methodology behind it.

There was another poll that asked players total bag space but it was hard to gauge if that included alts, bank, and guild bank inventory. This poll should help clear up by making it a yes/no question.

Sounds like a very lame excuse to me.
If 50% of players never upgraded bank or bag space - then that is most likely because these characters are just storage alts created to make up for the lack of space their main character is experiencing. So if anything - that would only reinforce why extra storage should have been added to housing.

I think hysteria may be a bit overly dramatic. I simply don't accept their information at face value like many want to do.
I don't believe their numbers, I have my own data to back up my personal feelings about it based on the information that I have access to, and frankly that is enough for me.

There is no rant here, no drama, no matter how much that you want there to be. I will defend my opinion as this being an open forum is specifically designed for that though.

That does it. We need a pack merchant assistant for 5000 crowns so that those of us with permanent residents of the Wailing Prison can upgrade our inventory7 characters at 200 slots
1 character at default because she's my Iron Vestige

You shouldn't take their information at any greater face value than mine, or Stevil's moon comment. They are unwilling to divulge their data source, I am unable to collect enough data points beyone my small subset, and Stevil - well, is Stevil...

No, its entirely different, they have access to the information where as you don't.
Their data source is from ingame account statistics stored as data. They don't need to physically show you a screen shot of the data, I guess you would just call it a forgery anyway.
its just as dumb as saying about someone who wins an election, that cant happen as me and all my fiends voted for the opposition.
You and your friends are nothing but a grouping of amoebae floating in the greater cellular soup of the world.
It's actually interesting because if those 50% who never upgraded are really active playes and not accounts played for a week and abandoned, then it proves that the forum is completely out of touch with the reality of the game - while we continuously accuse the devs of being the ones out of touch. That'd be quite an embarrassing revelation...Rev Rielle wrote: »We don't need a poll, we were given the facts in ESO Live. You don't need a sample when you know the population.
Over half of our active users have literally never upgraded their bag or bank

And clearly there is no difference between "able to collect sufficient data but not willing to divulge said data" and "unable to collect" when it comes to weighing conclusions that claim to be based on data and metrics.
this trend in "reasoning" might be why we haven't been pretending to go back to the moon for decades.
Actually @nimander99 I believe what they said was that only 3% of the player base had fully upgraded their bags and banks.nimander99 wrote: »One of the housing creators said only 3% of the playerbase had upgraded their bags and banks... I just cant fathom that. I do not believe it!

This means for 97% of players, there is still more storage space we can buy with in-game gold or crowns. I suppose only 3% of players would be the primary prospects for buying that extra space beyond what is available from upgrading bank and backpack.

Both maxed on 4 characters.
I am also out of room on all 4 of them.
