The game is supposed to be fun and challenging,vma is easy but the chance to get what you want is ridiculous.

    There is a change to the vMA drops coming in Update 13.

    Won't spoil it for you ... so that you can read the patch notes for yourself.

    You know that the distribution of traits for the weapons is actually kinda even (with sharpened being the most common trait). However, the distribution of weapondrops is not even (restostaff the most commmon and dagger the least common).

    Will update/edit if you want the source of my statement, it´s from an older forumpost where someone summerised 1500 maelstromdrops.

    Yes I already read it though it's not enough...(I guess it will really help those who seek a specific kind of 2 handed/1 handed/destro stave).
    For those who didn't read it yet:

    "Adjusted the distribution of Maelstrom weapons obtained from the Maelstrom Arena via the Leaderboards and drops.
    Previously, this was divided evenly by weapon category (Destruction Staff, Two Hand, etc). Now, it is based on the individual item type (Dagger, One Handed Sword, etc), and all damage weapons within the item type have an equal probability to drop.
    In addition, when a Dual Wield weapon is awarded, you will receive two Dual Wield weapons.
    We also slightly reduced the drop chance for Healing Staves, Bows, and One Hand and Shields."

    It's fun for me...
    I mute the game volume hear some good music and relax:) it's like grinding cp points boring,easy and extremely longggggggggg.

    The update 13 change makes it damn hard to get a bow (best VMA weapon). Before it was apparently 1 in 5. Now supposedly 1 in 12 plus whatever the last line of the note means. I've not gotten a single bow in 25 vMA drops. Pretty frustrating given that vMA bow is required for good stamina DPS.

    Given that you can now change traits and the drop is 1/12 for any particular weapon (or 2/12 for a weekly run and those boards will not be filling after this update.) I do not see that there is much of an issue any more. Remember, it was 1/144 for the weapon you needed before. That was a big problem. There will also not be near as much interest in these weapons as they got a pretty big nerf with this update. Only some will have value in some situations. They will not be almost universally BIS anymore.
    I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

    Yeah I made that post before seeing the patch notes. Even with the nerf, the maelstrom bow will still probably be required and as I said, 25 runs and no bow for me :(
