Because having to deal with mindless 5-year-olds JUMPing around guild traders, or bored end-gamers posing on their stupidly large mounts covering NPCs, or stupid idiots dueling in crafting facilities or spamming AoEs in crowded spaces, etc., etc. is meaningful interaction?Daran_Cousland wrote: »I think it sounds like a fun idea and when it comes out I'll probably have fun playing around with it, but I really think it's going to destroy this game. Destroy? I've seen far more people being excited to RETURN to ESO.
If anything, Housing will simply increase the player population. Many people really -really- underestimate the pull and the drive Housing actually has on people.

Housing is the LEAST of our worries. They didn't make anything tied to housing appealing enough to keep people interested for more than an afternoon of diversion and a bit of almost non existent RP.
There is virtually no reason to decorate or stay in your home at all.
There are 1,001 reasons that ESO can fail, but Housing isn't one of them.
Dude, I found 2 ERPs having *** in an inn just 2 days ago.
I see RPs every day.

I kinda think it's cool how some achievements will now reward you with some accent piece, further telling the story of your character.
I only went on to the PTS shortly to see how the editor works, otherwise I don't want to spoil too much for myself.
What is a real reason to play?

In the bank you're still registered in that specific instance of that specific zone. Those zones are made to 'handle' that kind of traffic. I put handle in quotes because it's still not handling very well.
When you have a system that isn't tied with zones off on it's own, along with a pretty powerful furnishing editor? There's bound to be performance issues with that and that's Homestead's biggest pitch. Ruin the performance of that and it's pretty much a failed update. It's not the load on us, it's the load on them (watering it down because I'm not gonna defend it).

Reward? You still must buy it for a large piece of gold: 10-50 000 of gold for 1 single trashy deco item you "earned" fro achievement. All dat housing system just a large money sucking wapor.
I disagree. I think most of housing will be for guild houses, and for the test dummies especially on counsel to test dps.
Wtf is playing house? There's but so much you can do in that damn place.

I think you may be worrying a little bit prematurely. Shall we let it get released before the decline of ESO is declared?
I think housing will be a gimmick a lot of people try, but once people have had a play in their lifeless homes they will decide to play the actual game instead.
