Getting to Betnikh - Inconsistent with One Tamriel

With One Tamriel, all the zones were made accessible to everyone at any level. Except Betnikh. You still need to complete the Stros M'Kai quests before you can go to Betnikh unless you can find another player to group with and port to. Bal Foyen, the other second-stage starter zone, can be accessed immediately from the Stonefalls gate, so Betnikh needs to be immediately accessible too. This can easily be done by unlocking Gilzir the Boatswain's second dialogue option, which otherwise unlocks when you get to Betnikh with Kaleen. So please enable Gilzir to take us to Betnikh, as soon as we first arrive in Port Hunding or Daggerfall, without any quest prerequisites.

I think this was temporarily possible if you had the Stonetooth Bash quest from the New Life Festival, but it needs to be possible at all times. The story doesn't even break if you go there early, because Tumma-Shah is there to give you a pointer back to Stros M'Kai if you haven't yet started questing there. So there's no reason for this not to be possible. Thanks!

I've never noticed this until now but I agree it seems extremely strange that this one location is not accessible, and it seems like adding the dialogue option would be simple so it should be an easy fix.

You can always go to Betnikh, just talk to the guy in Daggerfall that brings you to Stros M'kai and click on other options ;)

@ferum1995b16_ESO If you have never been to Betnikh, that doesn't work, as the option is not there. That's the issue.

Damn, I didn't know that. I've been directing people to that boat. Good to know.

It did. But possibly only if you had the Stonetooth Bash quest active. But that there proves that it is possible for it to be available without doing the Stros M'Kai quests, and is my basis for saying there's no reason for it to not be available all the time.

No, I only got there on my new character for the New Life Festival because I saw someone in a guild list there I could travel to.

Yep, this apparent oversight definitely needs to be corrected.

It seems the current PTS version (2.7.3) has addressed this. My copied character who has never been to Stros or Betnikh was able to talk to the Boatswain Gilzir and get the appropriate dialogue option for Betnikh.

Awesome job, Enodoc, for raising this issue.

It always bothered me on Live ... even the nameplate over Boatswain Gilzir said "Daggerfall - Stros M'Kai - Betnikh".

Good stuff. I felt this pain during the festival and didn't understand it. Good to know it should hit in the update

If you first choose Stros M'kai this fellows Betnikh dialogue disappears:(

I will recheck this choosing Stros M'kai first with a new premade.

Confirmed on PTS with new premade toon: You can use the boat to go to Stros M'kai, Betnikh and Daggerfall at any time: no dialogue options disappear anymore.
