Tremorscale

ZoS pls consider adjusting Tremorscale set this balance patch. I know it got nerfed on dmg portion by reducing dmg by 10% and its uncritable. It's a good change since it did very high dmg for a tanking set. Unfortunately that wasnt the biggest issue i have with it. It's the 70% snare for 8 sec on ability that have 4 sec cooldown. Let me say it again 70% snare for 8 sec with 4 sec cooldown. In PvP that is way to powerful. In my opinion duration should never be over 4 sec, but if its up to me i would make it 2 sec snare.
Im pleading to you Zos to take another look at this set and do something about that Godlike snare.
Ty!

Tremorscale snare is indeed far too powerful in it's current state. That the main problem, by far, of this set.
When considering the high damage, low cost and amazing utility of the skill used to proc it, it's… a little too much.

Damage has been reduced on this set... and crit removed .. The CC component is the only thing left of great value... let's see these more modest changes first ... On test it's still a good set anymore nerfs it will fall to a unused set..

Nah just fix the set, you can't taunt players only npcs so they should just make it only proc on PvE content not PvP :) I would be happy with that alongside increasing vipers stings cooldown to 15 seconds.

Agreed players should not be tauntable, this will leave the set still viable for PvE.
As it is I find myself constantly locked down by this set and other CC with immovable pots being unreliable in lag.
Fixing CC immunity would also go along way.

Yup exactly what I deal with, when someone runs with which they normally have viper in the mix. I literally have to consistently dodge roll and back away/run if they're in heavy.

Why can't we have a few powerful sets in the game? Why does everything have to be nerfed and nerfed until it is bland. How about buffing other lesser used sets (like the lamia one) instead of just nerfs? We have had plenty of nerfs thus far. Tremor wont crit and it does 10% less damage. Leave it at that and buff some of the others so tanks have options.

There is a difference between powerful and too much powerful. Tremorscale would be really good with only the live damage and no snare, and really good with only the snare and no damage. Buff other useless sets, it's a good idea. But please, add the necessity when we build our characters to actually have to choose between damage and utility. Some specs give both at a too high level, and tremorscale is a part of it (same for black rose, HA, viper, velindreth and some other sets).

Ugh, another "nerf something I don't like" thread. The fact that you are forced to use subpar skills to taunt and thus proc it and coupled with the crit and damage loss the only thing going for it is that snare. As for the "let's not allow this in pvp" people, stop - because that can be said about the majority of these monster sets.

I loled at "subpar" skills. Ransack is far of of a subpar skill.

but tremor aslo without crit and 10% nerf dmg will hurt with combine with other proc set + snare from this is the bigest hurt, now on live this damage and snare is just ridicouls, its op as malubeth with broken 2-3k healing ticks

I honestly really like it (it's OP), but I can't lie, it really is broken. But I worry if ZoS fixes it, they'll just end up nerfing it so badly it'll just end up being one of those sets where it's just not worth being used anymore. Idk it's just I love it for being so OP but it really is quite unique in that way.

if players are untauntable, then it should not proc.
I get it I use it to do dailys on my tank I'd say working as intended making solo stuff better but I see the damage my stamsorc pulls with this, and holy mackerel it's nasty. I was tempted to jump into pvp and troll , but resisted the urge.

As we cant taunt players it would make perfect sense to remove pvp taunt proc, so that the pve tanks can carry on using it and pve looses at least one troll set.

Most likely when the set was created someone messed up the cooldown duration with the snare duration which makes it combined with Puncture spam over the top.

    Want an easy fix?

Exchange the snare duration with cooldown duration and problem solved(maybe).

The snare combined with the ridiculous 50% proc chance absolutely is the aspect that makes potatoscales 'too powerful'. Against the potatos spamming their ransack weaves with this, there is only a 6.25% chance that you will not be perma snared back to back every time it comes off CD.

The damage of the set was never the main problem, you wear it for the permasnare, otherwise you would just use velitato/selines. Claiming that "woe is me, can't crit anymore and 10% base dmg loss, leave the snare alone" is simply being facetious.

70% is one of the most powerful snare in the entire game. It's duration is also one of the longest. It's damage is still 91% of viper's one, with the same cooldown. And all of that is given to one of (if not the) best spammable in the entire game, who have one of the cheapest cost, good damage, great passives, some other great stuff synergies, one of the best debuff and a good buff.
No, seriously, it's too much. The set itself is really powerful, and it's applied by one of the most powerful gameplay in pvp. in my opinion, ransack's damage should be toned down, and the snare should be greatly reduced, at least it's duration (or the damage, if ZOS want tremor to be a tank utility set).

Agreed, the snare doesn't make sense in PVP. You're fighting a Tremorscale wearer and you are permanently snared by 70%. That's too powerful considering it's reliable damage every 4 seconds.

Sellistrix and Tremorscale damage need to be swapped. Sellis is avoidable and has a 2 second build time and should do big damage.

So much wrong with this, now you also want Ransack nerfed - you people never stop. Last time I checked if you're snared you can still block or do damage back (or cast a purge), therefore Im guessing 90% of the people complaining here do ranged damage and dont like having to get into it close range. The purpose of the snare is to force close fighting for the players who are not ranged based, its effective counterplay to many of the other playstyles. Comparing it to Viper is laughable considering viper procs 100% of the time off any melee attack and did not get a 10% damage debuff.

Nobody said anything about nerfing ransack. It was just pointed out that it is not a "subpar skill" as you stated. Anyone who isn't a templar can't sustain repeatedly purging the snare every 4 seconds. You're lack of understanding for how viper works is what is laughable. It has the same cooldown that tremorscale does so similar uptime when using ransack (again, not a subpar skill) as your spammable dd ability. Tremor does similar damage with the snare which is permanent unless you're a templar, in which case you'll be spending more time purging and less time on offense.

Viper alone is not really a problem, viper combined with other sets (velindreth or tremorscale, mostly) do too much burst. And if you look at them closely, on a ransack rotation viper and tremorscale have nearly the same uptime, tremor loose 9% damage (with PTS change) against 70% snare for a huge 8 seconds.

Yes, I want ransack nerfed, for the same reason strife was nerfed (but strife don't have as many good effect as ransack, so strife need a boost to be a great ability). A cost increase on ransack is not a good idea because of tanking, so lowered damage is the best idea IMO. On the S/B tree, you have low slash as a spammable already. Ransack is insanely good as a dps tool when comparing to low slash, the "dps" skill of the tree…
I play mostly close combat, and with ransack since a long time (but I refuse to use proc set, so I don't use tremor). The snare doesn't bother me when fighting, but it's annoying when the enemy flew after using tremorscale, and extremely annoying when you are nearly immobile for six or seven seconds when the enemy is already dead. As you say, snare is mean to force close combat, not to dps at the same time ; high dps shouldn't have as much utilities tool as tank have.

In my opinion, tanks should be really hard to kill and have a lot of good crow controls abilities (snares included), dps should do a lot of damage (they already does) but with far less utilities, and heals should heal, as they actually does most of the time. But with the actual meta, ZOS fused most of the tank tool with dps specs. We don't have to choose, taking one don't prevent us to take the second. It should be either the first, the second or a little of both, not both at full.

A 70 percent aoe snare for 8 seconds with a cooldown that is shorter than the effect is not effective counterplay. It's effectively broken. This transcends eso. Something like that is not acceptable in any player vs player environment. I'm not even sure if that effect is ok on an ultimate. The damage component is completely irrelevant and I agree the ransack talk is a little absurd but let's not pretend tremorscale is balanced. The snare needs to be reduced to 2 seconds or the cooldown needs to be upped to 12 or 16 seconds. Tremorscale should provide a mediocre burst of damage that disrupts enemies in the area. It should not be a permaslow which it effectively is right now.

It also requires people to run taunt, meaning their incredibly limited in loadout. Maybe, instead of complaining about the snare, focus on shoring up that defense? I've still got screwed by a great NB player in 1v1 duels with tremorscale on. You -can- beat it. Stop crying and do it.

And NO. No ransack nerfs. Stop the imperialism, stop demanding this game bend for you alone. Stop.
