Why is ZeniMax only focusing on PVE?

Was always, "why do I have to grind when all I want to do is PVP!"
I also have never seen threads asking for buffs or nerfs from anyone except PVP, that is not to say that ZENI may have changed stuff because of PVE but it is a fact that the moaners on the forums are PVP'ers. And b4 anyone says anything i'm not trying to slate PVP I enjoy it too (well I would if it worked ok) i'm just stating facts.

I'm sorry, but that's having a very selective memory indeed. People were always asking to be able to play with their friends on different alliances. Regardless of whether or not there's a number of people who loathe the 1T update, there is probably more people who have appreciated its implementation. I'm not saying it's not without it's faults, but it's given this game a huge shot up the arm.
I was away from this game for about a year and when I returned, places such as Davon's Watch etc were ghost towns. I was shocked at how barren everywhere other than the major city hubs were. I'd have been forgiven for thinking I had suddenly warped to vet gold rather than just stepped off the first starter island. It was boring and barren. If I wanted barren towns etc, I'd have stuck to playing Skyrim etc. I'm predominantly a PvE player and I wished for something like 1T.
Seriously, like i did, if you find the game is no longer something you can relate to or you find it's went waaaaaaaay down hill, move onto something else. 1T isn't going to go away and if it did, I'd take my own advice onboard and move onto another game.

Because probably like 99% of players are focused on PvE. Most of people who now play ESO played other "the elder scrolls" games. Those are PvE, with only single player content and no PvP elements whatsoever. That is why most people are PvE focused. And this is where all $$$ comes from.
For PvP those people only play to get Alliance War skill unlocked, additional 49 skill points and skyshards and perhaps some achievements & character's titles.
(btw. Currently PvP is very unappealing for PvE players, and even for some PvP players. It is broken, unbalanced, laggy, with a lot of exploits being used commonly. I am not surprised that if people have time they chose to spend it in PvE, rather than PvP ).0 -

But as the industry average shows that only around 15% of MMORPG players engage with PvP you'll make approx 6 times more money from PvE than you will PvP.
I still haven't (and have no intention of doing so) bought Imperial City - because it was a cheap-trick way to try and get more people to play PvP by gating new PvE content behind PvP.
I spent 2 hours in Cyrodil the other day (PC EU early evening UK Time) farming Shards and Treasure Maps, I saw absolutely NO ONE. Not one single other player. You can't go 2 mins in PvE without seeing another player.
IMO Zeni had a good idea for PvP (Faction vs Faction vs Faction) then ruined it from day one with the guild management choices: allowing cross faction guilds, and that was because Guild Membership was Account Based and not Character Based (as it should have been) and allowing Membership of 5 Guilds to try and mitigate against the systemic flaws of the Trade Kiosk system. How Guilds are managed (By ZOS) ruined the mystique of what should have been one of the best MMORPG PvP experiences out there.

I think it was very valid decision to make a turn from mainly PvP oriented game (as ESO was advertised before launch) to mainly PvE game with some PvP for those who cannot leave without it.
Plenty of RPGs have had PvP. The whole argument that MMORPGS should be without it is baseless. I do both as well as a slew of other things with the smaller sub-communities within the genre and being jaded against a particular one is not only detrimental to the lifecycle of the game, it's detrimental to the community as a whole.

✭Ive wanted Cyrodil overhaul forever. Upgradeable Castles, different kind of Castles, more siege weapons, each Alliance should have own style. More Terrain variation. No that update was going to be base game but they ripped it out. and No that does not count as a PVP update. And for the people claiming that dueling was PVP focused please be advised only streamers asked for that. The Fact is this game is PVE focused. In three years we have only seen maybe 2 changes to the current map for PVP and all the updates for balancing is also PVE focused Don't sit there and tell me when people could 4 man run VMA and say that there was no balance for that..."FluffyReachWitch;3700775"]PvP gets updates all the time.
