Every patch PVE gets polished even better.

We want to see updates in Tamriel which makes PVP enjoyable again.

1,5 years old VMA, 1 year old VMOL and nearly 3 years old scaled trials + no new map since Dark Brotherhood.

And they are focusing on PVE ? Maybe crown store.

When the majority of an MMORPG's player base exists in PvE (as is the case in... well, every MMORPG), then PvE tends to get the most love. PvE players tend to spend the most money on the game, either through subscriptions or regular Cash Shop purchases, and the PvE side of the game (any MMORPG btw) is the "cash cow" of sustained revenue for an MMO.

Are they ignoring PvP completely? No.

Most every patch/update has "balancing" adjustments for PvP, and a quite healthy number of them. But when most of your player base is on the PvE side, it tends to get the lion's share of DLC-love.

It simply is what it is.

To me, it looks like the majority of balance changes coming in Homestead are PvP-focused, so your post doesn't really compute.

Give me a break, nearly every "balance" change is because someone got killed by a skill in PVP and whined until it got nerfed. Over half the combat skills are useless in PVE and PVP, because of PVP nerfs.

Not really. Unless you have a PvP Crit build that somehow works despite all the Impen builds that counter it. Only the most recent PTS patch addresses PvP, while the bulk of class changes in Homestead mainly affects PvE.

Perhaps I'm confused, but I was assuming that the PTS patch 2.7.2 is Homestead (as a work-in-progress), as in the stuff currently being tested on PTS will be rolled out when Homestead hits live. So any changes there will be part of the live Homestead update. If that isn't actually the case since I normally disregard the PTS, please enlighten me.

While Zos has certainly been challenged getting Cyrodiil working properly they have been working on it.

Regardless, PvE brings on the most steady revenue. Those that PvP and that's all they do have no reason to spend $$$. It's the reason SWTOR put serious limits on non-subs wanting to make PvP.

What Zos should do is bring in battlegrounds and make it a sub perk or a pricey DLC like twice the price of the other DLCs. If they make good battlegrounds it will sell.

Because this is MMO RPG, and no RPG in PvP?

PvPers have a lot of alternatives, MOBA games to start with, and therefore there is no chance to be the best in this area. With last year changes ESO is doing solid claim to become best from PVE PoV.

I think it was very valid decision to make a turn from mainly PvP oriented game (as ESO was advertised before launch) to mainly PvE game with some PvP for those who cannot leave without it.

Plenty of RPGs have had PvP. The whole argument that MMORPGS should be without it is baseless. I do both as well as a slew of other things with the smaller sub-communities within the genre and being jaded against a particular one is not only detrimental to the lifecycle of the game, it's detrimental to the community as a whole.

Perhaps they are hiring a new PVP and combat designer ?

PvP gets updates all the time. The Imperial City gained a good update after player feedback. One Tamriel brought us the removal of tower doors and some scaffolding, plus changes to keep and terrain structure to put an end to certain exploits. We can capture towns now. The Homestead update so far is going to come with higher AP gains, and fixes to the API will break many of the controversial features in certain PvP add-ons. People are soon going to have the ability to buy zone set pieces with AP, never having to set foot in PvE areas or grind bosses and dolmens for them.

Plus, as others have mentioned, skills, passives, and sets are constantly rebalanced due to PvP feedback, for PvP (affecting PvE too of course). But it's not all nerfs; it looks like with Homestead, a lot of classes will be getting some buffs to existing skills to make them more useful in all situations. My partner is especially excited that certain Dragonknight abilities will be relevant again.

I'd say things have been pretty good for PvP and it's going to get better. And I welcome fresh and polished PvE content too; I can't spend all my time playing mount simulator in Cyrodiil. ;)

No that update was going to be base game but they ripped it out. and No that does not count as a PVP update. And for the people claiming that dueling was PVP focused please be advised only streamers asked for that. The Fact is this game is PVE focused. In three years we have only seen maybe 2 changes to the current map for PVP and all the updates for balancing is also PVE focused Don't sit there and tell me when people could 4 man run VMA and say that there was no balance for that...

I agree except the part you claim Zos is making every effort to be the best PvE MMO.

The content development for ESO is half that of the competitor Zos is wiring to go up against. In the past two years Zos has added only one trial and there is no mention of another in the works.
