Anybody found any furniture recipes?

Most of the furnishing recipes are found out in the world, not from the Master Writ vendor exclusively (which has a very small number of top tier recipes). The vast majority of furnishing recipes (well over a thousand) are found in all sorts of containers throughout the world, and also from things like pickpocketing and murder, certain vendors, humanoid enemies, and some other sources in the game. Also, recipe sourcing is influenced by region so if you are in Eastmarch for example, then you will see more Nord style furniture items recipes, and if you are in Alik'r, you should see more Redguard stuff. You will still find other recipes, but the local culture's recipes will be more common.

Apparently they're out there. I am particularly interested in "certain vendors" and "some other sources".

The only 1 I looted was off a dead body, some random wood elf thing.

I've heard from a friend who did a slight bit of farming that the droprate is not too bad on monsters, but yeah as far as I can tell there are no vendors who sell recipes other than the Master Writ merchant, whom most of us won't be able to trade with unless we powerlevel the s**t out of our crafting.

I found a few in backpacks and chests, but there are also vendors who sell them. Look near the crafting stations. There is usually one vendor who sells (style)mats and general stuff, and one sho sells finished products (the unknown item boxes). If I remember correctly, it's the vendor with mats who also has furniture plans. However, the times I looked, they only had a few white plans, nothing fancy.

Furniture recipes are basically generic loot, ie. it drops from monsters, backpack, trunks, dwemer pots etc. with what seems to be usual droprate for the particulate container.

That looks worth following up. Thanks. I have found a recipe in a nightstand, also nothing fancy, but even nothing fancy is a good start.

There is a another thread with some information from players on the test server.

Its interesting that the ZOS official reply says that you can get blueprints from murder or pickpocketing because there is a player that tested that out and this was his results -

"Do blueprints drop from picking pockets? Anyone know?

After 100 bodies (you pick their pockets after they're dead) I'd say the answer is no...
I found 4 blueprints/patterns/etc from desks and wardrobes in 2 hours, but not other types of containers. "

Here is the original thread the quote is from - https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/314255/what-exactly-is-the-drop-rate-for-furnishing-plans-from-stealing#latest

It looks like they only can be found in certain containers as well.

Where has everyone been finding their blueprints?
