General mind set of the masses:

Tank must have at least 50k health (Blocks with face, not shield)

DPS must pull 50k dps at all times

Healer must have infinite magic and be a Templar....

I'm happy I have pretty much all the monster helms I want as I'm rather happy not tanking dungeons at this time.

If you think 15(.8)k hp as a DD is not enough for any of the dungeons in general... there are bits of the gameplay you haven't learnt yet.

Stamina dds tend to have lower hp and benefit from healer support more than others. But that doesn't mean they can't survive and pull nice dps even in their own.

That said I find for pug runs it can be better to swap for more survivability and sustain. Changing food, some jewellery or monster set pieces can compensate for lost dps since most of these groups are not ideal. For random runs you don't need BiS gear.

    Out of pure curiosity.

You mentioned you had 15k hp with food on.

How is that possible at 160 cp +

Even with all stam/magicka enchants you should have something like 16-17-18.

    Just curious.

My Templar healer is CP360 and without food sits at 14.9k so it's not quite as high as you think. I'm not full gold though so that might be part of it.

Yeah I know you probably rocking damage most of us won't ever get, but too many bosses one shot 18-20k. Also too many mechanics cannot be avoided like in vFGI. How do you not die in every dungeon?

If I am paying attention generally I don't die. I have done vFG 1 without dying several times. Deadly Cloak and Hurricane help to mitigate damage, I understand blocking and roll dodging, and I usually try to sit at max melee range.

Ok... I have an issue with all the PoVs Im seeing here. Why? How does the newb learn if you boot him? Why would you NOT want to teach him? Teaching means more players that can hack the good content. Or is it that you want to remain on top so screw him? Are you wiorried he'll get better and smoke you in PvP? What? I just dont get it. You dont teach, the game dies for lack of competent players.

I'm not an elite gamer. Im the elite of the casual players. But not one who will be on top of the leaderboards. I can figure it out for myself. But I see a lot of players giving up because of being shunned for being casual. This has to stop. I've seen this attitude of *Elites only* help destroy games. You may think it makes them better but it doesnt.

Some people in this came just seem to lack the ability to put 2 and 2 together and get 4 properly, or just common sense in generally.

If your referring to the several spelling mistakes and grammar mistakes I made, I wrote this after running vMA three times in a row and dealing with the situation described in the post. My blood pressure was through the roof, plus I was exhausted at the time.

No worries. I'm not really critical of spelling mistakes or grammar (even though I used them in my example). I was referring more to your "2 plus 2 equals 4" comment, and the "Shave beard and grab a snack while waiting, you know how it goes" quip. Normally people don't write in the same way as if they were speaking casually to a friend. Sometimes though, you see it, as if they were texting this message.

Instead of writing: "Some people in this game just seem to lack the ability to put 2 and 2 together and get 4 properly, or just common sense in general." which sounds pretty messy and non-mature, you'd usually get taken more seriously if you simply wrote: "Some people in this game lack common sense."

However, making a claim as to you knowing what common sense is, even though it's a completely arbitrary and subjective term, makes you sound even less-mature. So a better sentence would probably be "I don't understand some people's rationale". That would get the most ideal reaction from readers.

I sit at, I believe, right at that same amount of health on my mag sorc. No health buffs/bonuses at all, other than food. No undaunted, no TBS or other sets that give a health bonus, no racial health passives, nothing. I think if you have more than that you must be getting a health buff somewhere other than food.

Queued for a vet BC 2 for the pledge, wait a little while (Shave beard and grab a snack while waiting, you know how it goes), come back and just got in the dungeon. Get to the final boss because it was already in progress and the party lead and his friends/guildies ask me if I have eaten food, was sitting at 15.8k health. I said yea, and they instantly kick me, despite the fact I have full legendary NMG gear, all maelstrom weapons, and the vet SO title on. Its pretty damn common sense I know what I am doing and probably won't die.

Now I got 10 minutes to kill before I can requeue plus the queue time because some people lack common sense.

Grabbing a snack yes. I understand that part. But how the H.. did you manage to be that long afk so they actually was at last boss? That's disrespectful. Grabbing a snack takes 1 min, that's basically the time it takes to get ported to the dungeon.

The way I read it was that the group had likely kicked a previous group member and they were on the final boss when he ported in. It makes sense since you can't join a dungeon while afk, you have to confirm you are ready to join the dungeon.

I just pug with my vMA set up which sits at 17.5k health. There are players that are way better than me so I don't find the fact the that someone sitting at 15k health is giving up much survivability.
