That doesn't even give a realistic feel to it AT ALL.

Then by all means,
Keep playing with a wall of fog.
This is the exact same spot on the vanilla game with ultra settings.

There's a reason why there's a "fog" in-game.
If air were perfectly clear then light would pass through it unaltered and there would be no haze (like your crappy addon). However, air isn't perfectly clear like you may think. It is full of water vapor, dust, pollution, other gasses, etc. As light moves through that air it hits some of these objects which causes the light ray to bounce off in a different direction. This obscures the image. The further an object is the further the light has to travel in order to reach you and that means it increases how much stuff the light has to pass through (meaning light will bump into more things like water vapor, dust, etc). As a result the mountains or other far away objects will appear hazy which is why we have this "fog" like effect in-game.

I'd love to see a comparison between PS4 Pro and the One just to see how much better it gets with 4k. The normal PS4 version is without a doubt the worst when it comes to graphics.
And the HDR looks horrible in my opinion.

Which would be great if the fog was something like this:
But the fog in ESO is way too dense and starts way too close to the camera. And it is constant in every single scene no matter the climate or time of day. The real reason they use so much fog is so they can save memory not having to render high quality level of detail in distant terrain. It keeps the minimum requirements down.
On topic. I love HDR, but I have to agree with others that for the pictures above it is simply too saturated a palette for my tastes. And I use sweetfx for an HDR-like effect also, so I enhance my color palette too.

I'm looking at this using my brand new hdr/Dolby vision lg tv.
I'm going to assume the differences are that the Xbox one S is very different from the PS4 pro because of the two outputs that ZOS created for the PS4 /slim and the PS4 pro

Yes totally! Definitely saves memory and rendering. But removing it totally from the game like some other commenter preferred makes it look crazy and far from a "realistic" look.
On the HDR topic, I wish we could have SweetFX on console. I used it on Guild Wars 2 which has that "cartoony" look to it so it makes sense.

It's so hilarious how the game doesn't Render a damn thing after a certain distance, even if it is in your view. Skyrim at least had low poly models of buildings and trees at a distance. You can brag about ESO on PC all you want, all it does is give you pretty close ups and nothing else.

Unless you stay in Scotland of course, then it looks natural and real.

Actually in Hook64 there is a setting that you can change that will render all high quality models at all distances. It will absolutely kill your fps though. So here are three examples: First one is default (small clolor enhancement with sweetfx in all of them):
Then the distance detail is turned up to crazy amount resulting in 20 fps, lol:
ps. For some reason there is a border vignette added to all the pictures. Not sure where that comes from but it is not present in the game, lol.

Now see, THAT is an environment worth paying for, and most likely something that could be done with Xbox's Scorpio system.
