I would watch some build videos. Im sure you have already. I think when I was doing my first build I watched some good ones from newegg. Ive built 6 so far. The first build took me hours. Now I could throw one together in 30-40 min.

As far as parts, I would get a good CPU fan...not the one that comes with the CPU. Make sure to push hard on the possessor when you put it on the motherboard so that the heat paste gets squished real good. A lot of people would recommend removing the factory heat paste that comes on the CPU and replace it with a better high heat paste. Not that big of a deal if you arent going to be doing any overclocking. Grounding yourself is very important, but I take extra care not to touch anything but the sides of the motherboard. Even the oils from your skin are not great for PC parts. Dont freak too much tho. Its easy peasy once you get the hang of it.

Yeah, I've probably watched at least a dozen videos on YouTube already lol. And I went ahead and got the Hyper 212 EVO as well since my CPU doesn't appear to come with a heatsink anyways, and I got a CPU and MOBO that are (at least I am told) made for overclocking, so I figured I'd want a decent heatsink if I ever do decide to do that in the future.

As far as grounding goes, since you and several others have pointed it out, is it worth it to go and buy one of those static wristband things? Or will I be alright as long as I am diligent in making sure I ground myself before handling any components?

Thanks a ton for the advice everybody. This is something I've been wanting to do since I was like, 13 years old, so I can't even begin to describe how excited I am for my parts to come in so I can get to work.

DC has a new Emp, Janet From Finance.

There should be plenty for you to do when you have time to play, but the sad thing is you might have to wait till early morning Saturday, to dethrone. That is the time the keeps are empty.

P.S. Balance was great, EP finally had more players and we stopped their Emp attempt.

And to be fair, it would help prevent night caps just as much to play EP.

Also, Janet From Finance is one of the less intimidating emp options. I'm not overly afraid of sorc pets, hardcasted frags, and lightning staff heavy attacks.

I have seen them. And I'll give her the edge to your bow/resto hybrid magplar I've seen you play in Azura's. But that's just my opinion.

And I think it's a little out of line to call someone a zergtard when you run a guild that was too zergy for a vet 30 day campaign (and killed it) and now you're branching into another alliance (and you disparage faction flipping at the same time - even saying in AD zone that there is a DC Adenoma).

My Hybrid Templar was a 1H+Shield/Bow, obviously you havn't seen me play in Azura if you don't even know what my build was. I've yet to even play as a Magplar. I've always been Hybrid.

Even in that aspect, my build was Hybrid, Hybrid is trash, you need to be dedicated Magicka or Stamina if you want to be top-notch in PvP, but then again, my Templar is designed for PvE combat more than PvP combat.

Hybrid only works in Blackwater Blade, whereas in Trueflame, Azura's Star, or Haderus, you won't see a soul even attempt it. By Level 50, everyone else has such an upper-hand on you, unless you have enough regen for both Stam & Mag you won't be able to compete without outnumbering.

I would avoid making blanket statements about vet. Some people have theorycrafted OP hybrid builds. People just subscribe to whatever "theorycraft" they see on the forums.

Okay, so in Trueflame & Haderus, it may work. Noted. Azura's Star? It definitely doesn't. Tested it and my Templar gets smashed easily in a 1v1. Whereas, the same build used in Blackwater Blade, I can 1v4, sometimes more, no problem.

@ColoursYouHave don't skimp on the power supply. And check the serial number on the box vs the device. I had 3 PSU s before I finally got a working one. One of which I couldn't RMA it because they sent it in a wrong box. That was a first for me.

I have never known the alessia bridge as "team orange bridge". Just to clarify the is no red n gold collaboration going on there, just a lot of deaths. But I guess it does take some team work to waste that many hours, gems and seige on not an objective. So I guess I see your point.

It would still work in azuras. I'm getting 4.4k buffed weapon damage and spell damage, 33k armor and spell resists and thanks to 5 heavy, all the resources i could ever need as long as people focus me and boy do people hate WWs. Especially ones that 3 shot.
