Hypothetically, how much gold could you personally make in a 30 day period...

If you lost everything you had except your level, started over from scratch, and all you focused on was making gold for 30 days and nothing else, how much do you think you could make? This is a personal question to you alone in your available time and in whatever method you feel would be best for you. Let's see how hard making gold is to the community.

Farmed stonefalls today for 4 hours and got like 700k worth (including sharp sun sword)

So... depends on luck I guess

My current buy-all-the-houses plan puts me at about 1.5 million / month without any inter-player trading whatsoever, just farming gold from NPCs & the game itself. If I added in trading-related activities I could probably get close to 5 million, although there is more uncertainty in the open market.

If my focus was getting Gold, 1,000,000 just means playing the game. 5 Million would be doable. I currently make 300,000 to 500,000 a month just shedding excess inventory from the questing and puttering around I am doing. And I am not focusing on farming the good stuff and I tend to forget to sell a lot of the good stuff I do get. If I were to actually put some effort into it, yea, 5 Million could done.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

if all you did was to do crafting writs...no farming, no killing NPC's nothing else at all

6 writs each gives gold plus sellable items approx 4K per char
lets say 8 max level chars - that's 32K per day
    30 days gives 960K

even more if you had 12 chars doing this

I could make at least 10,000 a night even if I was tired after work. Pushing it, I could make 1 million in a month, if I include some modest guild trader sales.

Just questing/stealing/vendoring junk would be about 10k a day with the amount of play time I have.
Plus selling the improvers from stuff I decon and the motif pages from trials. And that would be without actively trying to get gold.

I usually bring in a 150 to 250k a week while playing, but I voted 500k because it's easier to make gold when you already have gold.

Tricky. I find it easier to make gold by leveling. Lets say you lose everything besides CP points. 1mil

I somewhat had an experience like this when I started over from zero on PC NA. I joined a couple of free trading guilds and used somebody to port myself to Hollow City, Coldharbour. When I wasn't doing dungeons, quests, or grinding up levels, I'd pick up the reagents around the Hollow City back when Columbine sold for 500 gold each on PC. I'd put them in small stacks, and they'd sell almost instantly. I was able to make my first million gold on PC with just a little bit of time spent.

It's been harder to make money this way since 1T dropped though. My second million is taking a little bit longer, but I've also been spending more on gear, food, and nirnhoned items for researching.

15 000 gold steal per day ( yeah , i steal 140 item per day and sell them ) .
    15 000 X 30 = 450 000 gold per month .
+ some yokudan motif = something like 750K per month .

playing 4-5 hours a day just for the sole purpose of gold grinding could grant you 5 mil a month if you play every day. However, I would never do it as it is just a waste of time wasting all of your time just to get some in-game gold. Won't mention the method that can be used to achieve this because it can potentially hurt me in-game financially.

Playing the game casually and just farming locations (dungeons, public dungeons, over land bosses) and selling everything you get your hands on will get you at least at least 10k gold per hour which is the standard here I think.

Since I mostly quest, I only have a handful of hours a day to do so, and most of my characters are under level cap... I average probably 2,000 a day: much more when I'm on my CP-level character or my thief, much less when I'm on the rest who are still leveling 1-50.

That's where a lot of average, non-trading players are going to be, I think... low-level drops and rewards can keep up with leveling mounts and upgrading pack and bank space and that's about it. Which is why, for me, housing is an end-game goal, as much as getting endgame gear is. A sink like this should be tackled after the other, more functional sinks are completed. XD

    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

1 million sounds about right. And i'm not a power seller by any means ...

Are we trying to get ZOS to modify the pricing? How passive aggressive of you. Mind you, I dont care because this is my primary game and unless the server go offline or the game breaks or the game gets stupid, Im gonna play for years. So I have no worries about eventually getting the home(s) I want.

Haven't had the game a month....Have about 80k. I've bought some stuff I probably won't buy again (motifs etc), so I can see 100k easily.

This is taking in to account the time I have available to play...Maybe as I've played the game longer I'll have the know how to make more gold with less time invested. But my available time will decrease as University has started back up.

Looked at some houses on the pts and I am content with what I can get as someone whose played for a little less than a month.

I PvP, so whatever I get in the monthly mail plus whatever I happen to get while grinding for new sets to try out (but I spend more than that paying for the RNG pieces), so about 50k? Feeling real left out here with the houses, doesn't matter that I'm in the top 2% every month getting gold gear, I won't make enough money to have a yard, even with my year's worth of savings. It's even worse that my favorite potion needs columbine...

I could make 960k in just gold returns from writs.

    6 writs each character = 4k (ESO+ passive), 8 characters x 4k = 32k per day, 30 days x 32k = 960k.

Once I add the sales from the writ rewards (purple/gold tempers/alloys), recipes, alchemy provisioning ingredients, bonus value sold to items to NPC traders, crafting mats plus materials and items obtained from the surveys, I would suggest it could be closer to 2 million.

Just logging in for an hour, doing 6 max tier writs and the 2 daily pledges (which you can solo quickly on normal), will net me around 10,000.

Everyday for a month would be 300,000 for virtually no effort at all. I am sure it would double if I bothered to sell all the off-trait set pieces I trash on a daily basis for a few hundred/thousand per piece.

I actually have no idea. I've never paid attention to how long it takes me to make gold, and it depends on how much time I have, which varies a lot from month to month.

I guessed about 25,000, but I have no idea if that's accurate.
