Not all classes need to be equally good at all types of gameplay.

Problem is (PvP wise) with the armor sets, meta, proc sets, weapon abilites/ults out performing all the builds look almost exactly alike. You take any stam build and take 3 classes (Sorc, Templar, and DK) and all 3 will use the same gear, same weapons, same skills, and same ults. They will only have a couple class skills, most will be weapon skills. Magicka has been shoved to the side. Light and Medium armor forgotten. And the 'play how you want' idea is long gone.

Wether intentional or not, @Zos has destroyed unique builds by making certain skills, sets, and weapons, out perform all others.

Don't confuse most efficient playstyle with viable playstyle. Sure for quick kills go with the copy and paste stam sets. That does not mean that there are not other viable setups out there for Stam dps. There of plenty of different setups a player can use and still be viable and efficient. Will they get the kill as quick? Maybe not. But the build can still shine and outperform your enemy. Even proc builds.

The issue is so many people just pop on YouTube or twitch, watch something, and say o that's the best. Grab the cookie cutter.

Additionally, stam may be the way to go for single target burst, but mag is the way to go for aoe damage. In fact, mag gets better in that department and single target, tank department with next update.

Bottom line is, although you can. Copy and paste a build from the Internet and be efficient, but that does not mean other builds are not viable. Play as you want does not mean every playstyle operates equally well over the classes. It means that each playstyle is viable over the classes. Don't get the 2 confused.
