Homes prices, what do you think?

As mentioned by others, I think manors might be priced in line with guild houses. Something for a collection of people to pool gold toward. If you look at it that way, then it is priced quite reasonably for a guild of 20+ people to pool into. Yes there will be individuals who can afford these manors, but it's not out of the question for guilds to purchase them for their members to use.

Overpriced but I expected it to be. It's a huge addition to crown store sales. That being said it could have been worse based on what we've seen from Zos.

I'll be curious to see how crafting and writs and such pan out in relation to crown store items. It's one more thing that with bad rng could really turn people off.

Looks like im never going to get a mansion - or the lord/lady title... but im ok with that. I think the prices are fair. Free house to give you a preview of how it works, accessible small and medium houses for those who want to play with it a bit more - and then expsive higher level houses to act as rewards for those who put a lot of effort in.

Once the videos of the houses start coming in, we'll see how they really compare to each other though...

Have to say I wasn't expecting the lower end housing to be so reasonably priced.

A Million plus for a full manor seems a little high to me, but then the most gold I've ever had in ESO is 250k.

HYPE. Reading those patch notes, there is SO much replayability in this one patch. The prices are more than reasonable. Manors should seem out of reach for casual players of this game. That's why small and medium houses are so cheap. HYPE.

I'm fine with the pricing of the small homes, but the large ones and manors are too expensive. I'll either have to use crowns or the larger houses and the manors are way out of my league.

They are more realistic than I thought they would be. The small homes are afordable, and with some time the larger one's can be sought out if your save and/or sell on the guild traders.

I have no complaints about the gold cost for player housing. I think they're fairly reasonable. I do plan on just having one house, so maybe that's why I'm not having any problems with it. If I were to be wanting multiple houses, well, I might be crying about now..

Meh, I want multiple houses (maybe eventually all of them), and currently I can't even afford 1 of the manors, but I'm not crying about the prices. They seem pretty decent to me.

They are fine on the pricing. A manor house should not be something everyone can afford without some work. If nothing else it gives people something to work towards.

I'm not sure why people are so upset about the manor prices; they are realistic when you put them in line with the other sizes/prices. I'm sure large houses are more than adequate for anyone wanting a large space. Mansions should definitely be much harder to attain - I was honestly expecting 5 mil so I'm pleased with this.

      IKR.

It's like people wanted to log in on day one, buy the biggest house, furnish it with everything and be sitting in it with nothing to do after an hour of the update dropping.

I see it more as something to slowly work on in the coming months.

      Prices seem legit.

You have to remember, they dont expect a newb to be living in a mansion. There should be some reward for those that are loyal to the game and have played for years. I think mansions are priced fairly. Everything else looks fairly priced too, you can still do stuff, and if you want more, well keep playing the game. If you have everything in a couple months, you'd obviously quit and they want you to keep playing, so its a good model. You can still get cheap places and do nice things.

I think they did a great job with the housing prices. Makes houses affordable for pretty much everyone and still makes the larger ones more rare. I say that as someone who will be able to afford one medium house somewhere probably.

A lot less expensive than I thought... I figured they'd want to really encourage people to pay with Crowns, and making the gold prices out of reach would do that.

I thought the cheapest places would start around 100K and max out at 10M for the Manors.

Given that, one large house can cost more than all the small houses combined, and likewise the manors equal more than all the medium houses combined. If your goal is utility over status, it might make sense to buy a bunch of smaller homes and specialize them. House A for twice born, house B julianos, ect.

I think it would take a darn sight more that "1-2 hours a day for a couple of days" to get 3.8m in gold for a manor house.

You might get enough for one of the sub 500k houses but you still have to sell the nirncrux. I can see a sudden rush of people trying to do the same thing and either the supply becomes harder to find or the market gets flooded and prices come crashing down.

I can foresee a trading crisis happening here with everyone trying to sell stuff but people not buying, as they start saving for homes. I wonder if guilds will see a drop in donations as well.

I think think prices are very reasonable.

You earn enough to buy first small house just from leveling 1-50, and you need to work about 2-3 month to earn a manor.

I actually thought they would be cheaper, I am happy to see it will not be the case. Yes, almost 4 milion gold is a lot of gold, but we all will get a room for free and I think the prices for small (and medium) homes are realistic. It will just take more time to get the manor.
