I cant believe I'm saying this but I actually regret buy this elk. Prior to purchasing I had no reason to believe stam or speed upgrades wouldn't be visually shown on the elk. I love my mount to look battle ready and we'll this is just disappointing. 80 dollars down the drain since I won't be using it. You guys were right all along! What the heck is wrong with you zos!!!??

At 4,500, even if I had kept those other crowns, I still wouldn't be able to get it.

I thought it looked cool, oh well.

It does cost a lot and if you got crowns, they weren't a gift. It was a huge customer service issue where you didn't get crowns that you paid for in the past. They may have given you and extreme 500 per month they missed but considering their limited time items are 200-5000 crowns each, that's far from a gift.

I'm sure some ppl got crowns they were not suppose to but me being extremely vocal and having to literally fight with support for months to get my crowns and being told publicly it was just a me issue.... it's a dang slap in the face that people all of a sudden got crowns again

To my suprise I didn't.
So this type of stuff pushes me over the edge

Let it be known that none of my real life friends got "extra or gifted crowns" and to be absolutely honest, I didn't even get an extra 500 but three times out of almost a year of back n forth with over 12 months of this so it's crappy that they still had to open a ticket last week.

Wth and it's still didn't get me on renewal.

I've been looking forward to the elk mount since it was data mined a while back. But 4,500 crowns? That's more than most dlcs. There's just no way I can justify spending £25 on a virtual reskinned horse. What the hell was zos thinking pricing it that high for?

In all seriousness, don't buy it if you don't have the money or don't agree with the price. You're wasting your own time complaining about it. First, the blue cat mount, then the crown crates, now the elk. It's all cosmetic items. It doesn't do anything other than make your character look "cool". If you really want it, buy it, but don't complain about cosmetic item prices. It's just silly.

Is this REALLY the message you want to send to ZOS? Dro-m'Athra mount, Crown Crates, and now this Elk, are testing the waters. Use your wallet to vote for the content you want them to work on. They won't look at the forums to make these decisions, they'll look at their quarterlies and their profit margins.

They were thinking that they would sell for 4500 Crowns, and they are right.

Remember all those people who were fawning over the Elk and how much they wanted it? I have said this before; ZOS may not speak much, but they are always listening. Those people who did that contributed to the thinking that set the price we see today.

If you really want something, and you don't want it to be expensive when it comes out... keep quiet about it.

Need to go back up and add that as number 9 in my list. I forget about that.

You know, I agree with that. I didn't think it could be because they are not planning to do recolors. I find it hard to believe they won't do a "White Stag (but Elk)" kind of thing. The Kagouti was a similar situation, though, and it costed 2500 Crowns.

I am not really upset as much as I am surprised by the pricing. I thought that since the Ice Wolf was priced at the regular limited time mount price despite the A Game of Thrones hype, I figured no regular mount would see a price increase. I suppose I underestimated Thranduil's influence xD

Just because you don't buy them to flaunt doesn't mean others don't. I could afford it, I'm not buying it, the real problem is the direction zos is heading. Another poster stated at least we get free updates, while true, they still haven't fixed even basic issues within the base game itself, but they sure find time to add things to the crown store. That's fine they are a business after all, but what I see is more of a cash grab than actual progress. Example dro mathra mount vs elk mount, how about the Grim harlequin motif that came with 52 mimic stones, FrostCaster 200 less crowns but only 5 stones, and at that very same time a sale on mimic stone. How many mimic stones could I get for those 200 crowns? I know the pack of 52 was 1800 crowns so for a motif that was 2200 crowns before, this one is basically 3800 for the same thing. And honestly not even giving enough stones to make a full set was just flat out wrong.

Again no issues if you want to buy it, if you like and can afford it knock yourself out, just not my style. Just a general observation from me.

i have been a long time supporter of the game with an ongoing sub since launch. I understood the transition to P2P due to consoles, I supported the Crown Store because of its limits, and even looked for the good in Crown Crates (that they can't be sold enabling pay2win), but this stopped me in my tracks.

This is simple price gouging. I was ready to fork out up to 3k Crowns but hoping it was closer to 2k. I absolutely cannot support this type of pricing. When we release our video review of the mount it will be the most negative ESO video we've ever made.

In my opinion, they need to drop the price by 2k Crowns and start immediately refunding players who have purchased the difference.

I hope this isn't the start of a new trend to milk players for every dollar. There is no way this mount is worth more than two full months of a subscription. Bad form ZOS. Bad form.

This feels like an end of the year cash grab.

Seems to be a retaliation for crown crate complainers.

"Don't want to buy Crown crates? Well here's something that's not a gamble LOL."

The community just got smacked.

To be honest, the "free" Crowns with subscriptions are worthless, really. There's nothing worth buying with them for the amount you get. Three months buys a mount. One month gets you two pets. It will probably cost at least a full year's worth for the Crown-only housing at this rate.
