Why is there so much lag/crashes in the New Life Festival?

goggs25✭✭This festival event has screwed up my story missions I CAN NOT continue with the story because the useless game will not load up the Alik'r desert sits on loading screen saying this is unusually long loading time I have tried 3 times to load up the area.
All eso got to do is sack the lazy programmer's and hire people who know what they are doing0 -

✭✭Alik'r is the worst issue for me have one character stuck there can't log into it , and others I either crash trying to travel there or sit in long loading screens0 -

May I ask what are you playing on? I only ask because I am on Xbox NA and was there earlier today with a throw away character and it loaded fine. My brother has been asking if it is worth starting to play and I am torn between my own experiences and what people have been saying on here. It has been running totally fine for me but I also haven't gone to do any of the festival quests (and likely won't, not interested really).Xbox One NA0 -

Hmm, alright well maybe that is something to do with it I wonder? Of course I have been purposely avoiding Eastmarch because I would wager it is pretty rough regardless of region but again that is just speculation on my part.Xbox One NA0 -
Berret✭✭✭This is why mega servers are never a good idea. Either have separate instance "channels" where we can go to, or just instance the zones where this event takes place, if you party with someone you join their instance.
-Fishing is almost impossible due to the sheer number of people
-So much lag, I'm constantly getting thrown back into the loading screen and then kicked from the game.
-Good luck trying to kill the wolves and the wasp.
-Just going to Breda or grabbing the XP buff is taking more work than it should. *Lag, Lag, Lag, long load screen, Lag, Breda hasn't loaded yet, AOEs flying all over the place, people aggroing mobs, -CRASH-*

✭I haven't even done ANY of the festival because every time i log in (during the day here in AU) i get constant 999+ pings & disconnects. Tried to do a daily dungeon & got disconnected 3 times. The last time I was disconnected... the rest of the group finished the last boss but I was unable to log back in quickly enough to get the monster hat & reward.
