EVENT - Castle Charm Challenge is BUSTED

This event is basically impossible to complete by choice. People yelling "spam E and hope it works", which is about all we can do. I tried directly clicking item in my bag even and it won't click 90% of time (it isn't on cooldown either).

FIX NEEDED!

If you press E it tells you item is on cooldown ("item not ready yet"), yet when you check item in quest bag it definitely isn't on cooldown...it just isn't working.

Only one person at a time can 'perform', so it's basically a spamming session. This is the case in all of the performance areas.

this happened to me - i walked out of building & back in & it worked for me on xbox - not ideal but worth a try

And the thing couldn't even work when directly clicking it in bag 90% of time...

Other people are having massive problems too, this event shouldn't be about spamming the E key and hoping something magically works. It should work 100% of time so long as you hit perform in right place.

sorry it didnt work for you - it must of just been a coincidence that it worked for me. i do know though that theitems in your inventry are not the same as the 'performer supplies' you are using for the quest, because my supplies did not diminish upon completion (i checked)

i was activley selecting other players so i could get the achievments at the same time - so maybe hitting e when your crosshairs are over another player will help?

You can perform with other players if they are already performing - but you can't have players simultaneously hitting 'e'.

You can perform with other players if they are already performing - but you can't have players simultaneously hitting 'e'.

so clearly the main problem with the quests glitching is people not working together!
if everyone chooses someone who is already performing & performs with them problem solved! (unless they are on their own then theres no problem to begin with)

Yeah I think the main issue is that the system isn't designed to collaborate between players of such a large number. It was fine when I did it earlier this afternoon, but tonight it was virtually impossible. The same for many others. We'll see how they deal with this though. Hopefully tomorrow!

edit: I should stipulate that I don't know this for a fact - just based on how the situation 'feels' as the performance kit will activate but nothing happens, then it's on cool-down again. This then loops til you get lucky.

Thing is I completed it randomly on two other characters doing nothing special (just in right place), yet on this one it was bugged.

So can the Devs fix this event please.

The only problem I had with this was trying to figure out how to perform in the first place - tried to do the optional part first and nothing was coming up.

Once I'd gone to the place the quest was pointing to (Old Goat Inn?) it wasn't a problem. I just stood near other players and once they started I hit X. I'm on ps4 tho so don't know if we're just not having the same problem on here

Lava Stomp Dazzling Pin also busted, dancing with other players works but dancing in the inn doesn't work, again the item says "item not ready" despite not being on a cooldown when checked in quest bag.

This is on same character who seems to be bugged with this sort of event task, my other two characters had no issues using the items.

Pro tip do it away from other people within the highlighted map area and you will get it. Issues arise when too many are around you.

It can be fixed if you do the quest IN ORDER. I made the mistake of playing as soon as I entered town and saw the prompt and it crapped everything up when I headed straight to the castle to trigger the castle part of the achievement. Went around to each area, as indicated, afterward and it fixed itself. Also relogged a bunch.

But yeah, buggy quest.

Just another of these gut feeling workarounds:

Go to the very edge of the area where you need to perform. In the inn, it worked for me flawlessly on two chars when I walked to the south side door, turned around and pressed E. On the outdoor location, it was the northern edge of the area.

I think you just need as much separation from others spamming E as you can.

I have tried everything on this character to get it to work, it seems you can have a bugged character, my other characters were fine.

As others have said try and move into some space........

I only had issues with one character and as soon as I got her into a "clearer" area it worked straight away.

Had same problem, then did it in order....Inn, square, throne room....worked perfectly

5 chars worked fine with a bit of timing, 6th is bugged. Can't do the castle quest, can't do the dancing one. Also noticed char didn't perform the belching animation for Betnikh quest (action still counted).

Yes I was doing that. Like I said two characters worked fine, this other one is bugged.

I did everything I could, did the steps...well - step - in order (couldn't get past inn).

Tried relogging and exiting inn and retrying, tried abandoning quest and taking it again, tried facing wall, tried facing Reveller with them facing me, tried facing other players, tried standing by other players who were able to perform, tried pointing camera at floor, tried pointing camera at ceiling, tried in every spot in the inn...if there's anything not there I should have tried, I did try it and just forgot to write it here.

Yeah having same issues here. Can't do the quests where I'm meant to dance or perform in certain locations. Worked well for one character, but for the second character it just constantly says 'item not ready yet'. Nothing I do fixes it - tried all the above fixes but it just won't work at all.

I figured out how to make it work after many failed attempts.....crouch down and then use kit, it works then for some reason.I hope this alleviates some of your frustration...peace!!

I didn't try crouching, will log back in soon and give that a go. Let you know how it goes.
