Anyone else having issues with use of performance kit?

I'm on the PS4, standing in my respective inn, with the "use performance kit" message. Yet when I press 'X', I just keep getting "Item not ready" Whatever that item may be.

Yes mate, was like it this morning too... I'd dodge roll and then be stood there stuck blocking. I'd use cloak and wouldn't be in cloak. I'd try equipping new sets ... wouldn't equip. I never have problems performing though, no! Hahahahahaha

I love ESO

I would love ESO more if the lag was fix.

I would love to help fix the lag if I can.

I would love if the quests would work properly with all of the people on the screen.

I had to go into inventory to use the performance kit. Took 4-5 times to get it to work.

On PC, I struggled with this, but found one way to get it to work! You need to move forwards and press E at the same time. (X for you). Someone also suggested that sneaking works.
But the only one that worked for me was pressing it in the right area while running. Hope that helps!

Should do it near one of the reveler NPCs. Preferably when they are not distracted by another player performing. Also found that being some distance away from other players also works better.

Can't be too sure though, this quest was pretty iffy.

Only one person can use the performance kit at a time. When there's a zillion people in the room it means you have to stand there and spam the E button for literally 10 minutes until you're lucky enough to beat everyone else.

Hoping they fix this. It's ridiculous.

In my case, after a few of the not ready, i moved around the area and room. it seemed to trigger on click when i was near the festival vendors. But that may have just been coincidental to the queue opening up.

So how many times do you have to perform exactly? The first time it said the optional bit (performing with other players) was complete, but still said I had to perform. Its been over 5-6 times now that I've managed with all the lag, still nothing.

Nvm, I'm an idiot. There's 3 locations to work with.

Glad I'm not the only one having an issue with the Lava Stomp Quest! The weird thing is that neither the Dazzling Pin nor the Entertainment Kit seem to be working at all on my main character, but I've done both of those quests with little fuss on one of my alternate characters. Maybe I simply got lucky with timing on that character, but I don't think that's all it was.

Go into first person, do not aim your cursor at anyone else, and try pressing E

Its like trying to repair a keep wall and someone parks there big butt in the way, you get the same "donk" noise.

On PC you just get in front of a reveller and rapidfire spam the activation button. It may work on your system as well!

I have done the festival on four toons now and I find it is best to go into the right corner of the room and hit E, just once to perform. Seems when everyone is around each other it doesn't work so well. And when you have to go out into the courtyard hit E at the edge of the circle as soon as the prompt comes up. Hope this helps!

My guess is that there is a cap on the number of performances going on, so if you try to perform while too many others are, it won't work. You'll just have to keep trying until you get a window of opportunity that works.

Oh, and ZOS really needs to reduce the player cap per shard so that more players are spun off into separate instances instead of this clusterf--- that we have now.

Kudos for it being another free one, but this New Life Festival is not off to a smooth start, unlike the Witch Festival. This Castle Charm quest is currently showing incomplete for me, and I can't re-access it. It went like this:

Got the quest, went to Alcaire, and arrived at the Square where it showed the 'x" to perform, which I did and it worked. Then direction says to go to the Inn, which I did. The "x" was there, but I couldn't do anything. After several attempts, I then went to the throne room, but showing no "x". I then went back to the Square, and the "x" was still there, but can't do anything at the Square. I went back to the Inn. The "x" is still there, but still can't do anything.

So, I abandoned quest and went back to Breda and got the quest again, went back to Alcaire, to the Inn, and same thing. The "x" is there, but can't do anything. Then, I went to the Square; the "x" is there. So, I pressed "x" and it performed again (second time) at the Square. Direction now says to go to the Throne room, which I did, but no "x". I abandoned quest again and got it again from Breda. Went back again to the Throne room, but still no "x". So, I went to the Inn. It showed an "x". I pressed it and it performed. Now, direction says to go to the Square, which I did. "x" is there at the Square, but cannot so anything.

Abandon quest once again, went back to Breda once again, but this time, I picked up the next Betnikh quest from her, instead. I checked my Journal/achievement; the Inn and Throne room are highlighted as completed, while the Square is still grayed out as incomplete; even though, it physically showed I performed at the Square in two different occasions. I never physically performed in the Throne room, yet it's showing in my Journal/achievement that it has been completed.

Additionally, I couldn't pelt Queen Ayrenn or the other Kings during first the Mud tossing quest. That quest is completed, but with no achievement. Also, completed the Betnikh quest and downed the Betnikh Twice-Spiked Ale, but no achievement from drinking that ale.

So, I sent an in-game help/trouble ticket to customer service. Received prompt replied (oh, 10-15 mins later), but no useful or helpful information. Pretty much the standard replies; try restart or power cycle your console. If that doesn't work, well, you're *** up the creek type response. Oh well, not losing sleep or anything over this. Just ZOS folks, if you read this, this is some of the issues plaguing this Festival for me. Aside from yes, lots more annoying lagging; I'm sure it is due to high traffic during this Festival period.

PC NA here, and I've noticed that I can trigger the 'perform with other players' achievement on the first attempt, but the animation doesn't play and it will take multiple tries to get the 'perform in place X' achievements.

On my bugged character the only thing it could do was get the perform with other players achievement (instantly happened when using item), then the quest item bugged out and wouldn't activate after pressing E or even clicking it in quest window (90% of time doubleclicking item wouldn't make it activate and go on cooldown). So basically the item isn't triggering even when you hit E. Tried facing wall, facing various NPCs and Reveller NPCs, tried pointing camera at floor, tried in all areas of room, tried next to other people who seemed to be able to use the item fine...

Other characters did not have this issue, but one character seemed to get bugged.
