As magplar i would say that this ability is useless in current state, but NPC version is different story, they also spam it a lot as well as desorient which does not give CC immunity.Good thing almost nobody uses Eclipse. It's one of those spells that could be great, but in reality is quite sucky.. since you can't use it on CC immune people... so every 4 seconds you can make somebody CC break it, while doing no damage at all.. might aswell use a different CC that actually does something, ie shards.

They changed the player version of the skill to just reflect projectiles.
You were hit by an NPC version of the skill. That might still be the same as the original version. Though it looks like in your video, your whip is getting absorbed rather than reflected since neither you or the npc is taking any damage.

When the players die, I die aswell. My recap shows 2x vicious death procs in my recap (while I was alone, it was my own VD procs which got reflected back by the npc eclipse and killed me)
Working as intended?
Wrobel logic always killing part of my brain every time i trying to get it:Joy_Division wrote: »Sugaroverdose wrote: »Problem is that for some reason NPC version of silence was updated with sorc version and something tells me that eclipse logic is exactly the same with templars one.Joy_Division wrote: »Eclipse originally reflected any spell, whether it was melee, projectile, or even ultimate. Not necessarily true. In one episode of ESO Live, Eric Wrobel was asked why some NPC skills were never updated and he mentioned something to the effect that he thought it was cool that NPCs had different abilities and something to the effect that it was a little homage to how the game used to be.
Spin for "we lack the resources to bother," however, the point still stands.
With that being said, Eclipse is so bad you're build is actually worse off for using it.

Hope in U13 zos will come together with their mind and make Eclipse back to what it was for templars. It is frustrating to see how brainless npc have awesome black sphere while your own skill is total garbage. npc > players.
I never want to see the return of old eclipse, in fact Templar would be better off if that buggy skill was replaced.
