I love Eclipse but it shouldn't be reflecting melee attacks/abilities. I'll have to test it out with some buddies to see what it shouldn't reflect.

NPC-Eclipse reflects all classskills and maybe guildskills (don't know exactly) aswell. The player-eclipse (sadly) doesn't. :disappointed:

I think the real problem here is it doesn't reflect Sweeps and Stamina skills. Hehehe...

Good thing almost nobody uses Eclipse. It's one of those spells that could be great, but in reality is quite sucky.. since you can't use it on CC immune people... so every 4 seconds you can make somebody CC break it, while doing no damage at all.. might aswell use a different CC that actually does something, ie shards.

It's NPCs. They're specuuuuul. Seriously though, NPC negates got no red circles around them, their skills are outdated & unmorphed(Puncture & Uppercut, any1?). They work differently. For some reason, NPC-skills are still the old versions and not updated. God knows why, but they are.

As magplar i would say that this ability is useless in current state, but NPC version is different story, they also spam it a lot as well as desorient which does not give CC immunity.

I would prefer to make them more powerful but without old abilities which was removed/nerfed for reason and equally for magicka and stamina.

Yeah I would love the NPC version... those guards are super annoying with their Eclipse spam... especially when the super speed bug was still around :-) Usually ended up with you warping half across the map and falling to your death due to fall damage.

Eclipse originally reflected any spell, whether it was melee, projectile, or even ultimate. Unless it was a melee weapon skill, it was getting reflected. Even with this "bug" the kill sucked.

They changed the player version of the skill to just reflect projectiles.

You were hit by an NPC version of the skill. That might still be the same as the original version. Though it looks like in your video, your whip is getting absorbed rather than reflected since neither you or the npc is taking any damage.
Problem is that for some reason NPC version of silence was updated with sorc version and something tells me that eclipse logic is exactly the same with templars one.

Not necessarily true. In one episode of ESO Live, Eric Wrobel was asked why some NPC skills were never updated and he mentioned something to the effect that he thought it was cool that NPCs had different abilities and something to the effect that it was a little homage to how the game used to be.

Spin for "we lack the resources to bother," however, the point still stands.

With that being said, Eclipse is so bad you're build is actually worse off for using it.

Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

Some weeks ago, I was bombing 3 guys who was next to two NPC's. And while I gapclose with lotusfan I get the bubble on me by a NPC. I ignore it and proceed to time my tether with deto.

When the players die, I die aswell. My recap shows 2x vicious death procs in my recap (while I was alone, it was my own VD procs which got reflected back by the npc eclipse and killed me)

    Working as intended?

We literally had our whole group wipe during TG too 4 reflected VD procs. Whether it's intending or not it certainly makes for hilarious and sudden wipes.

Wrobel logic always killing part of my brain every time i trying to get it:
    1. Do not update eclipse, so it's overpowered vs magicka
    2. Update silence, that it actually become overpowered vs magicka
    3. Do not update stormguard dragon blood just for loolz

One of the reasons why magicka classes fighting stamina opponents anywhere near an enemy NPC guard is a total PITA. You have to break free every 8 seconds like a clockwork or you can not do anything, and even then its virtually impossible to prevent your own ability being reflected onto yourself when you get hit by the bubble a split second before your skill completes.

Thank god at least reflect was changed to only reflect a projectile once - before you would cast wings only to have the reflected frag be bounced back by the shell...

Short answer is DKs likely won't be seeing a ton of changes before we go live; this class is still quite powerful (as it should be being a tank), even after some of the adjustments we've made to other classes and abilities.

DK IS NOT JUST A TANK CLASS. #PLAYTHEWAYYOUWANT

Reflects the SnB Bash skill tooooooooo.

Games are meant to be played.

Back in Auriel's Bow 1.0, I have thought that the best way to handicap a faction with the HUGE pop advantage is to temporarily disable their grouping functionality and their ability to fight in 3rd person point of view! Let's see if these do not even up the odds.

It not bug. NPC Eclipse use old Eclipse mechanic that was nerfed for Templar but stayed for NPC - reflect everything(mostly), that how it working for npc for 2 years already.
Hope in U13 zos will come together with their mind and make Eclipse back to what it was for templars. It is frustrating to see how brainless npc have awesome black sphere while your own skill is total garbage. npc > players.

I never want to see the return of old eclipse, in fact Templar would be better off if that buggy skill was replaced.

Yes the new skill should be called "blazing radiance" and it will make any heals you cast on yourself deal equal AOE damage to all surrounding enemy players. I think this is really fair and balanced and would breath new life into the ailing templar population. - Signed avid forumplar
