What you might mean is its the middle of the night and their employees who also work in america are at home, cause they don't keep the place staffed 24-7 just incase something prevents a fair amount of players playing for 1 night0 -

Multi-second delays in posting to chat, people popping from location to another across the screen, desyncing and ultimately disconnecting. All that within the span of 10 minutes of forming for Vet Cradle of Shadows. At one point I even rezzed the corpse of our healer as it was sliding across the floor. After about 15 minutes our tank finally got on a stable connection. Our healer and other DPS had to drop. Kulizma✭✭✭I have the same issue as well. Ever since that stupid maintenance... Ill be at 110 ping.... then it'll go to 400, then it'll go to 1100 for like a minute and then shoot up to 10k+ and then disconenct.
Not to mention all the stupid error messages when trying to log back in...

Sorry to say but I have cancelled my ESO plus subscription until this is fixed. I can't even count how many tickets I have submitted asking them to review their server/network architecture. When in-game I am unable to do anything competitive (dying to noobs because I am unable to trigger my abilities or heal any damage in time before I die, lag is about 5 full seconds), and that is when I can even log in. At the moment and for the last few hours it's been like this instead:
I am on a 50MB home connection and clearly I have access to the internet as I am able to successfully complete this post on the forum.
What more is there to say? Beautiful lore, beautiful game, horrible quality assurance and incompetent development team.

People discover that traceroute exists, and they think that they can now troubleshoot what's wrong. But they don't understand how traceroute actually works or what ICMP even is, and then they draw bogus conclusions about ZOS's poor network infrastructure.
Short version: traceroute and ping are useless tools for troubleshooting ESO connections because ZOS's server ignore and do not respond to ICMP. The servers respond to normal TCP traffic, so you can still connect just fine, but they ignore ICMP traffic, so every attempt to ping or traceroute them will fail even when there is absolutely no connectivity problem.Nightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

✭My wife wrote down each time she disconnected yesterday. It was over 40 times. The average amount of time playing before DC-ing was 6 minutes.
I logged in after work last night, had a nightmare of a time doing writs. Game was unresponsive, even with lower pings, just none of the input was working. Then after a few mins my ping would skyrocket to 6k-15k ms.
I gave up and played Battlefield 1 where my ping was 24ms.
Haven't even checked out the new event yet since the game is unplayable.1 -

But it would be nice to see acknowledgement of the problem and some assurance that someone is working on it.
