But I think im rather being turned away from this game already again unless im wrong about this...

Checked out the ESO Shop???

1.) We can buy new cosmetic packs and things like Adornment, Tattoo/Markings, and such but can't use or change these freely without paying an additional $10 each time to remodel a character??? (Or is this included in subscription as it should be?) (After buying Pack or cosmetici tems from the store...

2.) The housing I am hearing about (Instanced Housing isn't bad...) But friends, and guild members need to be able to visit the house, Allowing a "Trade Vendor" to be placed, as well as in game vendors, and crafting tables would be awesome...

3.) RNG Crates ); ( With no listing of Percentage Drop Chance, or items it contains...) Hope everyone is aware new laws in china, and other countries likely before long require a disclosure of this information...

If you buy some sort of cosmetic change (or a package of them) such as a hairstyle or bundle of hairstyles, tattoos, etc, they go into your collections UI, where you can swap them out freely. They are NOT applied at time of character creation or during a racechange/re-design of your character.

edit to add: other players can visit your house by porting to you when you are there

    rng crates are trash

There is a lot to be upset about but underneath it all there is still a solid Elderscrolls release, with some great RPG content that you can play with your friends. It is definitely worth playing through the content if nothing else.

    1. The cosmetics in the Crown store can be used freely once you purchase them, for no additional fee. Please be aware that you can still only have one item equipped per category (so for example if you equip a body tattoo on a character that already had a body tattoo from character creation, the character creation tattoo is removed and replaced with the Crown Store one until you unequip it).

    2. From what we are told, we will be able to set visitation rights for at least one of our houses, to let people visit or even rearrange furniture (two different trust settings) even if we are offline. They will not be able to add or remove items. I am hoping we can use these settings to form a makeshift Guild Hall. We will learn more in January when it hits the PTS.
Crafting stations are already said to be included, as will dps dummies. You are meant to be able to place mounts and pets and even assistants (which hopefully can be used by any visitor). The storage items (dressers, chests, etc) will be just for show, not for storage, and you will not be able to display armor and such, although there will be some sort of trophy display system (official details on the trophies are a bit hazy at the moment).

    3. This is a common bone of contention in the forums. And a very popular/unpopular topic.

Yes, there's a lot of people who are upset about the Crown Crates, but there is a thread that was made so that people can input their drop rates. And here's another one. Take a look at what people have gotten and decide for yourself if you want to try your luck. ZOS seem dead set on keeping us in the dark about the drop rates.

    Edited for spelling.

As far as I know developers never announce the drop rates on these things. Listing which items are 'rare' is the most detail I've ever seen.

Of course that might start to change with the new law in China, but it wouldn't surprise me if they don't announce the odds until it's a legal requirement in the areas where they operate, and even then it might be set to be country-specific, so only the people in that country can see the information and everyone else is left in the dark.

1.Cosmetic items go into a menu you you can swap them out for free any time you want
2.We don't know everything about housing yet. There will be an info dump on Wednesday or so I hear
3.Everything contained in crown crates can be seen in the rewards category below where you buy the packs. The law isn't in place in China yet so legally they don't have to announce the odds. But someone made a spreadsheet of the odds not long back on these forums.

Now is a great time for new players.

If you have any intentions of PvPing though, just stop right there. Wait until it improves (if ever). Don't spoil the game for yourself yet.

If PvE is your focus, bring your friend and you won't regret it :)

    Well you're wrong about this.

The laws don't apply; you're not gambling with money, you're gambling with crowns. Crowns are an in game currency, and don't reflect real currency.

The law in China is only applicable for actual money to gambling crates.

ZOS were smart at this and used a loop hole.

New Zealand and Australia also have this rule, but you never hear about it because it wouldn't make a difference.

Op don't listen to the haters on crown crates...they all went and spent at least $50 each on them and said we'll I kinda had good drops out of them, zos aren't so greedy after all. ZOS won that fight. Some people actually thought buying them would prove zos wrong...but guess what....zos got the sale.

Other than that just get back into it. PVP still sucks hard and lags and kicks you as soon as a massive ap tick is rolling in (almost like the game cannot process such numbers ) rng sucks but other than that it's all good. I'm currently 74th on XB EU in terms of length played / achievements completed. Not too bad. I'm still here.

Before you rant, maybe look to see if your complaints are valid?

    1. Everything collectible from the crown store is bind on account and usable on every character(other than race-specific items).
    2. They can. Seriously, they have a nice post on it on the front page. Called homestead.
    3. Already beaten to death, in this thread, not getting into it.
