Is ice heart mask set good

My characters crit chance is about 67%, the sets ability activates at a 20% when you crit, so it would activate in less then 9ish hits, personally I feel like it's constantly active off and on

But aside from it looking and sound cool is it good?

Is it useful for stam? (I know it increases spell crit, but the aoe and 8300 dmg shield for 6 seconds is so cool!)

If not PvP, what about pve? For stam tanks or DPS

Thanks

Besides asthetics on a stam build no.

You will crit enough to activate it but the damage for the tooltip will scale from elemental expert.

Your can use it but your giving up a *** ton. The benefit to monster sets is they give a set bonus for one piece which you are essientally throwing away, the two piece bonus scales off of CP you won't be using.

Basically even the worst stamina monster set is an upgrade.

That sad if you want an ice shield and like the look rock it out. Min maxing is very boring and a complete kick to the balls most of the time but I wouldn't put this set on stamina build and I'm generally pretty flexible in how I put together my builds.

I would just rather have the stam, the health, or the weapon damage on the one piece bonus.0

Basically you're giving up the extra damage from other sets for a damage shield that's up most of the time and a weak AOE DOT. It makes you slightly tankier and that's about it.

Thanks, so in other words my only other option is be a cheese and use Selena's,

(Also is tremir scale, good for tanking, sounds like it, but a deltias comment said no)??

Kra'gh is good for stamina builds... so it Selestrix, Velidreth, Bloodspawn, Stormfist, Tremorscale... lots of options!

I think it's odd that you say Iceheart looks good... worst looking monster shoulder IMO!

Tremor for PVP DPS/cheese... For tankiness there are plenty of better sets

I gave up on this set because of the audio when it crits. It's this constant, resounding "BVSHH BVSHH BVSHH" that gets to me :s

I think it looks cool when it procs but the sound is too annoying. The AoE damage is pretty low but the damage shield is a nice little buffer and it procs alot.

    It's a pretty niche set.

I wouldn't use it for stam because you're wasting the 1p bonus and the damage doesn't scale with your CP.

I haven't tried it in PvP, but most PvP builds have very low crit rates.

It's not very good for PvE tanking because tanks don't benefit much from crit and have pretty low crit rates.

It's not very good for PvE DPS because there are better options that do more damage.

But I do like Iceheart in vMA. I run Grothdarr for group PvE, but I personally like Iceheart more in vMA. It doesn't do as much damage, but I like that it has higher and more consistent uptime (I really dislike Grothdarr's long cooldown when a Grothdarr proc is wasted because I'm moving to a new target or waiting for the next spawn to appear), and the shield is nice and has reduced the number of times that I've had to reach for my Harness.

    It's very weak.

I was extremely disappointed with Iceheart's effects, as the undaunted set "Iceheart" was datamined for over a year before release.

This is a set specifically for Ice Mage RP, though the 1-piece bonus is not bad for some endgame builds. Don't use it otherwise, especially if you want to have an even remotely *effective* 2-piece monster set.

If you want to be competitive in end game content then no, this set isn't good.

But if you want to quest, play solo or even do easier 4-player content like normal dungeons, world bosses etc., it's more than enough since such content is really easy in this game.

This set is generally lackluster but it can be extremely fun if you aim for ice mage build (in combination with winterborn set from malestrom arena for example). It procs really often, has nice animation and sound and the more ice animations you see, the more fun as the ice mage you experience.

I'm a fan of this set. Since I don't follow the heavy armor meta, I'd even wear it on my stamblade for solo/vma/PvP while wearing 5 Medium. The shield is better than any other I could use, that's without s/b.

On top of this, I love this set for vma instead of grothdar. I don't even need to slot harness magicka anymore.

It's more of a niche set that synergizes well with magicka builds. I use it along with winterborn and mother's sorrow on my magicka nightblade for PVE, though I wouldn't recommend it for trials. I didn't have much success working it into a PVP build. Yes, I take a loss to damage but my survivability is much, much better (with points into bastion). I have no issues being in melee range during combat and it takes a some heat off of the healer, as it procs a lot.

It is OK. It makes a magica build a bit more tanky while providing a little extra damage. However, there are other sets that you can be even tankier with and other sets that add more damage. It is good if you are looking for a set that adds a little of both but will be out classed by other sets for either damage or survivability
It is great if you have an Ice-mage build and wanted something that fits the theme

This is why I'm not the biggest fan of set gear. I really wish we could 'create our own sets' based off of these drops, even if it required breaking them down for source materials, stacking up piles of this source material, and then remaking the parts in our own image. Crafting could stand to be more interesting than it is in this game. Even so... I'm not the biggest fan of sets in any MMO.

I would like the set because of the damage shield only when soloing group dungeons, but a DS glyph on the weapon with the infused trait is up most of the time as well/saves me a lot of healing, for the cost of a bit lower DPS.
