How much dps loss do you get from your pet?

Im talking about your real life pet.

I have a cat, and it sometimes she jumps on my keyboard. Thats around 5k dps loss. She also have pulled my mouse to the floor and broke one of the buttons so its harder to press. I believe thats constant 300-500 dps loss. Also, one time when she was a kitten, she peed on me while I was in the middle of a boss fight. That one was a massive dps loss, like 8k maybe. I managed to continue out the fight tho, and that was a one time only.

What pet is the most dps loss? How much do you lose if a dog barks compared to if a cat meow? Can other pets make you lose your dps as well? Birds, hamsters etc. Share your experience

I have two cats.

One could care less what I am up to, as long as I am not rapidly moving my headset cord, or sprawled out on the sofa under a blanket. So no losses there, or very minor, and only on easy dungeons. In the off chance she becomes a nuisance, she is easily bribed with anything edible - cat or people food, treats, dead leaves, spiders...

The other must be in my lap for every boss fight, chew the headset cord no matter how still I keep it, headbutt my hands, sit on the controller if I hold it close to my lap, clawing and biting at my clothes and sometimes hands, purring and licking me happily the whole time. Then the boss fight ends and down she jumps until the next one. That's a major loss right there.

She currently has her own chair next to mine (she behaves better when she can sit next to me), and a dog crate for Trials when necessary (although she meows incessantly in there, but at least I don't have to coat my fingers in neosporin afterwards). She is a total brat, but somehow the fact she harasses me with all the obsessive devotion in her heart makes her too sweet for me to get upset with her. She generally leaves my husband in peace.

My 85 pound amstaff thinks he's a lapdog. I'm sure I lose DPS when he jumps up on my lap. Worth it though.

We have 4 dogs who love to lie in my lap, preferably at the same time.

And if they think I'm playing too much they usually scratch the controller out of my hands and demand attention. This has led to some fun scenarios in vet trials and hard modes

My cat has dropped my ultimate out of turn a few times (I moved it from R to Tab).

She also loves sitting on my laptop keyboard, which messes with TS a lot.

My cat turns on airplane mode if im using my laptop (connected to xbox) she has also turned the whole power strip off. I mean that like the ultimate dps loss. Lol

My cat seems to think that me sitting in my computer chair means it's lap-nap time. Especially the part where he leans his head on my left wrist.

It's either wake up the cat or play with limited use of my left hand, and, well, all cat owners know how that dilemma shakes out.

Scenario 1: Random noise occurs somewhere inside or outside of house. I may not hear it but that's ok, trusty dog hears it and enters room to alert me. Mild to moderate DPS loss depending on number of barks needed to convey the message.

Scenario 2: Dog puts snout under my left forearm and lifts hand from keyboard. Limited to light and heavy attacks, no abilities used. Heavy DPS loss.

Scenario 3: Dog puts both front feet on chair and rolls me across room. Complete DPS loss followed by character death.

No cats necessary.

I usually lay down on my bed and play. My cat LOVES to be in my face and scream at me. I may or may have not fallen off a cliff from petting her.

My pibbles likes to snuggle her head between my arm and my torso, but I usually keep my arms in close to my body so she ends up knocking my arm with her snout with more force than you'd think possible. Love her though!!

Real life pets? Well, I am a sorcerer IRL. I have a pet Winged Twilight and she constantly flaps her wings. Once, she accidently shocked my pc, breaking it! I usually keep her unsummoned now. My scamp, on the other hand, simply stares at a wall quietly.

Thankfully the 20lb cat could care less and hibernates in the other room.

The Cornish Rex, otoh...

Turns off the Xbox with her paw - Instadeath for all parties involved. (If the healer disconnects, hope you got self-heals...)

Gets tangled in the headset cord and yanks the headset off my head - (Minor loss of heals, rotation blown) It takes forever to untangle her when she's wiggling and squirming.

Has knocked the controller off the arm of the couch, firing off a light attack, and got me heat and bounty for hitting an npc more times than I care to think about. (Helpful cat is helpful)

Headbutts the controller to demand laptime (Not much of a big deal.)

Sleeps in my lap for all dungeons and trials. (She's my good luck charm

)

Don't have pets, but my baby cousin is 4, and she loves pressing random keys on my keyboard when I am playing. Easily a 10k DPS loss each time she forces me to roll dodge or start typing in chat.

Unfortunately my cat isn't with me anymore, but I dropped my hairbrush, which is kind of furry, on my keyboard while in Cyrodiil and it managed to post in zone that "AD is at Ash mine". (that was on my clipboard because, ya know, it happens all the time). I didn't know the hairbrush posted in zone until people started asking about the AD. I explained things once I saw the post had my name on it, and since AD was not at Ash farm my hairbrush was deemed a spy.

My dog is pretty good about leaving me alone while I'm gaming.

My 3 year old daughter, however, loves to push the power button on my gaming rig when I'm in vMA so she can watch daddy freak out.

I'm a healer. My cat caused a wipe, once.

Here he is "helping" me play the game a while back.

Since I switched to playing ESO on PS4, we've both been much happier. I get to play WITHOUT the fear of him weapon swapping me randomly, and he gets to sit on my lap comfortably.

I have an adult cat and twin kitten sisters that all love jumping on my lap or keyboard randomly throughout the day. Xerxes (the one above) will also constantly stand on his hind legs and paw for my attention at the worst times possible, which is always a pretty hefty deeps loss.

The kittens Luna and Sage also love destroying all the potted plants around, so I'm constantly shooing them off when they get too rambunctious, which makes me lose all DPS!

I think we're onto something here, cats are OP. ZoS pls nerf.

vMA way back when I was going for my first clear I was on the final boss for hours and finally got to phase three. I didn't really use guides so didn't know what to expect, but when Valkyn was at like 100k hp my Bernese mountain dog thought it was a good time to stand in front of the tv (he takes up most of the frame). I died. My dog wagged his tail. Then he just went to lie down and sleep like nothing had happened

My dogs are usually either laying behind my chair, effectively locking me into my desk or under my desk or somewhere else in the house. Once in a while, especially if its near dinner time, I get a nose poke in the elbow.

Not only does he cause DPS loss.....

Namely when he throws stuff at me, he has a surprisingly good aim......

and can throw much heavier objects than you would think!!

He also causes distress to other players when using Ts, I've had to switch to "push to talk"

He can be very loud!!

Oh, my goodness... I have a sweet adorable Doberman/lab mix who about once a month finds some way to accidentally lay on or tail wag or something and always it's the master power strip (er.. we don't actually follow the directions on not to stack them).

My upstairs neighbor, Mavis, who is 93 years young, will come down and feed me hard ribbon candy and crumb cake for any Trials runs I join. This actually increases my DPS as I don't have to go afk to eat.

On the other hand, as a rather elderly lass, when she's sat on my lap for more than an hour she's pretty bony and I eventually get pretty sore.
