Legendary gear is supposed to be... um, legendary. I don't understand where people get this notion in their heads that they should be running gold gear with gold jewelry. The only piece of equipment that should be gold is your weapon. Everything else will be just fine as purple. The difference when it comes to purple-vs-gold armor color is so small that you won't be able to notice it in all the background noise of combat randomness.

Been saying that for some time now. As long as you have the right traits, purple is fine. When you find a set your happy with then make it gold, but not necessary even for vet level content.

I don't want more tempers. I'm sitting on a stack of each. And let's not talk about purples.

But I don't go around changing my gear every month and expecting it to be all gold.

Wow, complaining about getting the right amount. Lucky you got 5%. Sometimes you can get 4%. Hate how some people feel entitled to gold gear.

From personal experience, refining massive amounts of Ore or Mat in 1 day will be a huge waste. I break it up into everyday or every other day and as soon as a Gold refine pops I quit refining that Mat for that day. Or if I get a few purples I stop. I always stop on a purp or gold but mostly Gold. The drop rate just seems better for me that way, maybe it's just coincidence but I'm sticking to it.

No, welcome to ESO, it's a grind. I'm honestly sick of all this "make everything easy" crap. Either get out and farm for yourself or buy what you need. 1 temper is pretty standard in 20 refines. No they don't need to up it, no they don't need to price cap it. You need to work for it or buy it. 6000 ore, nothing many of us have refined 10 to 20 times that. I'm not crying about it, you know why, because that's the way it is and has been. It's fair enough, don't think so, ask they guys who have run vMA hundreds of times. I wonder if they think a 1 in 20 chance if too much. How about those of us who have farmed trials and dungeons for the right gear with the perfect trait. If only had to run VHR for my sharpened VO daggers or rings 20 times I would be ecstatic.

Why do people insist on everything being made easier? Maybe a Lego game would be more appropriate.

So you have more than 1million gold in n tv and cant just buy items to sell and get tempers?

Well if you have 600k telvar, you could make SO much money selling alchemy mats and if you are max rank alchemist then just sell Immovable/Essence of weapon power pots to make big bank, then buy your gold mats. At 500 telvar per bag, you could get like 1200 satchel things? That's a *** ton of mats to sell.

I don't think the grind for the perfect vMA/VO/Infal weapon is a reasonable one. And you would be hard-pressed to find anyone in the endgame raiding community who thinks that it's reasonable. So, yes, there can be too much grindiness, and some grinds are very much out of line.

That said, the temper grind is just fine for two reasons:

• You don't need to gold out your armor (weapons are another story). It doesn't make a noticeable difference, and people who think that they "need" to gold out armor don't understand the math behind it.
• It's a pretty modest grind, if you consider that you also get gold mats from hirelings and writ rewards.

Exactly my point, a 1 in 20 chance is nothing, unlike the grind for certain sets and weapons.
