It's not that normal isn't worth doing but that trials should drop all purple in normal and have the loot bag at the end too
Veteran can stay very hard but I'd argue that instead of having Vet and normal, to have a scroll at each boss to vary by boss vs overall

Pve solo trials like maelstrom for a daedric artifact at the end only catch you can only have one artifact it comes gold cannot be re enchanted want another one have to give the one you have up before a shield drops around final chest.
Also make each trial reflect the artifact type if its a tanky item make the trial tank worthy not a dos race light maelstrom.
Mace of molag bal: self charges soul traps enemy on death makes enemies soul shatter explode on death. +X wep dmg
Wabbajack: fire random element off each attack randomly casts buffs minor sorc major sorc and enemies that die either turn into objects or food. Food can be eaten to heal via synergy.
Dawnbreaker: increased dmg to undead etc, increases all fighters guild skills dmg by 10% grants minor crit chance thingy.
Spell binder shield: auto 30% chance to either reflect or absorb a magicka projectile. Passively adds minor ward
Omoga infinium: make this one be a mundus like boon: that adds to say one type of stat but reduces its opposite by the same
Page of steel: adds wep dmg and stam and armor reduces magicka spell dmg snd soell resist by same amount.
Page of whatever: does opposite of steel.
Skeleton key: a abahs watch trual of master thievery and stealth long treachery into a daedric realm outwitting daedra etc and getting to the end with minimal being spotted to get an unbreakable lock pick that increases auto lock forcing success by 25%
Mehrunes razor: a dark brother hood theme trial of stealth and assasination to get into a mehrunes cult hq kill your way to the end whike hidden to claim a dagger that: decreases stealth detection range and increases dmg from stealth by 8%

This. I personally would love Daedric artifacts to make an appearance in the game but I know there are some people opposed to it.

ZOS says they want to find a way to introduce them while keeping them unique/rare/special.

They get what they make. The whole "people only show up briefly so let's make small content" is likely based on numbers resulting from the slow place of development. If you build something people won't stick around for, that's what will happen--they won't stick around.

Yes. It has not only been the pace of developement that has been sad but we went almost 2 years without any trial at out level making raiding in this game the worst of any major MMO.
Zos finally got some smarts and rescaled the craglorn trials. However, ESO is still majorly behind any game they would want to consider their peers.
ESO, best graphics of a large MMO. Great story line Worst in available end game content.

WoW has an identity, and ESO has yet to decide upon it's. Until it does, it will never have a chance in hell.

And Wildstar's biggest problem was making a game souly for the hardcore player.
The difference is WoW still has players -and- hardcore players. The sub counts may be dropping, but it is still in better standing than this game, at the moment. Or that one, for that matter, and many raiders and 'hardcore' players to boot. Perhapse there is more to the philosophy than you care to think?
