Earlier today, I was duelling a guy, he stood still and dogded at least 26 attacks in a row(6 dw heavy attacks=12 attacks with suprise attacks =6 attacks and bashes =6 plus 2 viper procs) after that he continued to dodge while perma blocking. Multiple ppl had the same experience and are also reporting him. Furthermore, some of my friends told me being killed by people flying around in the air who were not being able to get attacked at all. Yes, I did send in a report but no video cause it is hussle on ps4. I did save the video and will send it if ZOS asks for it

Hot wired consoles have been around awhile . It is just a bigger and more technical pain in the butt to do compared to PC so less common . Report to Sony as well . They will lock the account from th network .

One good thing about console is we have 2 corporations monitoring everything. The developer of whatever game plus the console developer for whichever console.

If someone is caught hacking/cheating on pc all that can really happen is account banned/deleted. Hacking /cheating on console can possibly lead to having a console that is unable to play online.

    This.

Sony is great about about reacting to hacked Consoles, since it's against the ToS. They can even brick them over the network. (Nope, no personal experience with this, but we did periodically get someone asking for troubleshooting help in the Playstation forum I used to frequent, and it became really easy to spot the people whose consoles had been bricked by Sony.)

Not possible to "hack" on console unless you're Mr. Robot.

You can have a console that has been modded. While this is fairly rare since these consoles tend to be banned or as someone else said bricked from the network.

So modding your console can result in you having a 500 dollar door stop. Which is why it is pretty rare to see people using "hacks " on console.

So it is possible but not likely to happen often or be widespread as some would suggest.

Sure it is not a "hack" and is not on the console but packet editing works wonders.

The post about bricked playstations... Hmm...

Part of the 'lemon law' that is so well known for protecting people from buying a 'lemon' car is that companies are prohibited from locking their customers into using a selected place for service - meaning ford can't make you get all work done at a ford dealership in order to keep the warranty. Part of that means you get protected in some ways even if you do work yourself... Like if you do your own brakes and oil.

Rulings happened that extended this reasoning to electronics. You buy a car to use as a tool for travel, you buy a phone to use as a tool for communication. It is perfectly legal to 'jailbreak' your iPhone to use a different App Store service, apple is not allowed to brick your phone for it, and warranty still applies.

Tivo was facing this sort of issue with their standalone units, people modding the boxes to work without the Tivo service. They sidestepped the issue by partnering with providers, putting their tech into the cable/dish converter boxes, getting away from being the source of program scheduling information and more toward the time-shifting running-recording end of the tech.

Consoles... Down the road, I think console companies will get spanked hard if they brick the console itself. That would be selling a person a piece of hardware and then remotely destroying the person's ability to use it. With software, which is intangible, the license method is well defined. But you can pick up a bricked console and hold it up in court and show it being unable to play single player games.

A bit of googling shows Microsoft has been down this road. A couple times. There was a gears of war thing where testers leaked stuff, and MS killed their ability to go online - singe player stuff was still useable. And in the vagueness of memory I recall them doing a big purge a while back of accounts that had a modded console, making many people upset about losing their gamer score. There were a bunch of those hi tl er bunker meme vids going around.

And this applies to eso in that if you see hacking, do not feel like you should remain silent because you don't want to brick someone's console - that's not going to happen. Worst case scenario, they lose their entire online name and have to start over from scratch on all their games.

Hist bark gives major evasion 20% dodge and doesn't stack. You didn't dodge anything from 10 people for 5 seconds let alone 5 minutes.

Maybe not, but it's certainly possible to boot someone off line remotely while simultaneously having the police show up at their house because you take GTA way too seriously.

Also any device connected in any way to the internet can be used by a hacker in an attack. The DYN hack used baby monitors. There are a lot more Mr Robot's out there than you think.

It's a bit more complicated. It's a grey area with the lemon laws, because the customer commits an actionable offense, and is suffering the consequences they agreed to be held to when they agreed to terms of service.

Also it's not that the console is bricked, it's that it's online functions that require access to PSN or XBOX Live is suspended or terminated. Basically each system has a unique ID for that console that is verified when signing into the network. That ID is flagged for no access.

So it would not be as simple as just creating a new username to get that system back online. They'd have to change the machine intial ID to a different one that still was allowed access to the network.

Keep in mind that this is a very extreme and rare case though. Most of the time it's just user names that get banned.

Definitely possible to hack. It's just that most of the console hacking done is for adding trophies not legitimately earned and such. Very uncommon to see a game itself hacked.

    Especially on next gen consoles.

    But it definitely happens.

Hacked consoles have been around a long time. It most certainly exists, and will continue when ego and PVP is involved.

Back in GTA 4, I was killed by a guy shooting RPG's out of his pistol while driving a car.

In game sets and shuffle give major evasion 20% dodge chance, and they do not stack. There is a set that gives bonus to roll dodging that's it. Chances of dodging 26 attacks in a row with the 20% chance are very very minimal. There is glorious defender that gives a 9% chance to dodge next attack after your light or heavy attack, but even with that + shuffle dodging that many attacks is extremely unlikely.

i did in no way talk about a 20% dodge chance set.
i talked about another set + shaffle at the end which can easy give you 6-7s immunity to ALL hits, combined with a cc and you are nearly invinclible

Yup meridia only works on 1 person then 10sec cd. Thats no where near jaavaa and his I dodge all attacks from 10 people for 5 minutes. So again its not possible without exploitation/hacking.
