looking for some mechanic info on transmutation and spell power cure sets.

i am looking for information on title mentioned sets on how many people one player can buff. i want to know sources if you did not test yourself of where you got the info. if you tested it yourself i want to know how large the group was, how many people where healing with spc/transmutation sets and how long of a test segment was used.

SPC can buff 6 players. Not sure about transmutation. As for all the crap you want, you dont need it

I "tested" with SPC in a group of 11, waiting half an hour for a substitute tank right before the final boss fight in AA. o_O

Very handy if both healer use SPC in trials - buff the whole group.

Pretty sure anything that says "nearby allies" and doesn't specify an exact number is aoe capped to 6 people, skills and gear wise (not sure about passives). But hard to test on console

ye hard to test myself as dont have spc, and transmutation requires actual healing done (if you at full health and get healed you wont get transmutation) and requires you to be only one with transmutation healing, and people being healed who get the set effect to say so when they get it.

if i remember rightly Transmutation affects 4 peeps

if you are a Templar for example and wear Transmutation then put Structured Entropy on one bar and on the other put Ritual of Retribution...do the Ritual and then bar swap as you will be immediately HoT yourself (as Entropy gives you more health on that bar) to proc Transmutation

just note that Transmutation is only really useful in PvP as you don't need crit res in PvE

Yup, Transmutation hits 4 characters. Which is why I stopped using it. No matter how good the buff is it's simply impossible to gauge whether or not it's worth it as you can't see the enemy's crit percentage which, presumably, in Cyrodiil is not terribly high anyway. Might as well just cast shields on people instead.

yes i am aware, i am looking at something beyond general building. looking at specifics of gear mechanics for these 2 sets as they are probably combined 2 of the best support healer sets for pvp. if transmutation effects 12 players, then you need 2 healers wearing it, if it effects 6, you need 4 healers wearing it, and if it only effects 4 you need 6 healers to fully synergize with team.

Transmutation is 4, SPC and gossamer is 6.

I really can't tell you if gossamer or transmut is better in PvP, its a hard choice to me, but ALSO don't forget worm cult if you are thinking raid healing, even in pvp

worm cult is only useful to healers trying to spam cleanse. you can easily with 2-3 passives for regen + jewelry enchants spam bol for very long time or similar cost spells. conversely you can go with spell power enchants and still be able to sustainly cast restro staff heals.

Well, in PvP depending on the group size you want to start group theorycrafting. There's a lot of good healer role buff sets and the more different buffs you can throw out, the better, even if that makes an individual healer weaker. There's no reason to use PvE BiS when forming an army.

For instance the Mending set, Master's resto, Stendarr, Prayer Shawl, etc.

as a nb in pvp i tend to go more the team support function, always have, and probably always will in this game as long as i play it. i am currently trying to decide if i should build spc/transmutation (probably do dw/dw or dw/sb) or vd + swappable spc/transmutation.

An additional note on Spell Power Cure, it can also proc on NPCs, the nightblade shade, vanity pets, and I believe the sorcerer pets as well. But it does not actually work if it procs on them, aside from making them glow blue, and it cuts into the six player cap, essentially wasting a good proc.

Not a huge deal in a four man dungeon, but not so great in Trials and such, which is part of why most groups request pets be put away.

The sets that have the colored balls floating around you with the five pieces (Worm and Hircine, for example) will passively apply the buff to up to 12 people. I don't know if they have to be in your group or not.

well considering how worm and hircine specific the number of people it effects, its not hard to figure out how they work. i am looking specifically and only for the sets i mentioned. players have already told me specifically how many can be effected by spc and what they have done to test it. transmutation has not had any definite set limit only person's assumption.

SPC - well known the cap is 6. It's why both healers wear the set in raids.

Transmutation - don't know since it's not a desired raid healing set.

Whenever I get the bonus on me I just kind roll my eyes. If people need the regen going after something like the Lich set is a better alternative, or even just swapping out the 5th piece for one shoulder piece (mag regen, spellpower or spell crit).

That's a damned good point. I used to have someone running that even as a VR 10 set in a VR 14 world. The buff is good, like Ebon or Worm Cult good.

I just checked and it comes from Banished Cells now in One Tamriel.

well they probably running 3p or 4p in pve for the regen.

Thank you this thread was very insightful. AzuraKin, as a Nightblade healer I understand what you want. Spell Power Cure and transmutation. I just acquired transmutation alongside spell Power Cure and I want to know what spells it works on really well so I can get those two buffs out

i would also get v.d. as when you working in a group, if you got more then the needed transmutation, spc buffs, then they kinda wasted and vd is also good for nb's as you will occasionally get k.b.s from strife/sap, m.det and ults. plus other damage skills you use. this post idea is for gathering info on the sets themselves as i dont have the means to accurately test the sets myself. good luck to you in pvp :P.
