It's interesting that you compare it to D3. When D3 first came out it was terrible under Jay Wilson. Jay Wilson took everything that made D2 a success and excluded it from D3 and held on to his sick twisted pride until the day he was fired. He did exactly the opposite of player feedback because he was Jay Wilson, the chosen one. He became an internet meme for pride and arrogance. After he was fired someone else took over and turned the game around completely and carried on the success of D2 and well as furthering the game along that line.
No one should be defending the RNG in this game. These people put out ad hominems against the OP because they have no logical basis to defend the current RNG situation. People need to stop fanboying. If you support the game take care of it, instead of defending it when it's on fire, help put out the fire.

My guess is the serious rage posts about RNG is those who don't won't to play the game as much yet want the gear execute perfect. Humm.
People has talked about tokens yet they want the tokens system to be easy.
Want a vMA weapon, 100 tokens at 1 token per sub. Want a token for a piece of trial gear. 1 token drops per boss and the group rolls on it. 12 runs and you'll have 4 pieces of gear if you will the rolls and it would be in the traits you want.
Don't like that, then enjoy the RNG as it is. Now for those that say that's to much.

I am willing to grind for a few days but almost a week of grinding and not getting lucky at all breaks me, I just want to get my stuff and go to PvP instead of doing PvE stuff non stop

Diablo 3 did that, and it drew back in tons of people that it lost. I mentioned that in my initial post. It was a brilliant idea on Blizzard's behalf to incorporate an item re-roller. Absolutely brilliant. It made getting gear with good traits that much more attainable, and thus pleased their player base. And in turn drew more people in to play their game and speak highly of it. As well as them themselves for incorporating such a concept. Which goes back to why I said to another person in this thread how Blizzard are masters at hooking people, and keeping them hooked. They'll make changes and shifts to keep people playing, and will work with their player base to see what makes them happy. And then put it all into motion.
ESO is like heroin. You try to quit (like me) time and time again because you know it's no good for you. But you always end up crawling back.
You hate your drug dealer (ZOS in this case) but they're the only one who can give you your fix. So you try to negotiate and bargain but it never works. So you quit.
Then the itch for a fix returns...

I've haven't tried any breaks from ESO to seriously play other games since it launched on PS4. My first attempt will be after I accomplish a few reasonable in-game goals I have set for myself. Afterward, I'll buy a house, settle down, organize my 600+ hoarded set items, and leave for a few months until the next patch or two patches roll in. Hireling mails will get picked up every once in awhile though just cause I know I'll regret not doing it when I finally do return to ESO.
Looks like I have to hope I don't have an ESO heroin addiction now

@Vaoh Lol niiiice. I'll still help you out on PS4, if we are playing the same game and you want to team-up like our days on ESO. I'm always willing to party-up and help a bud crush stuff. ^_^

I'll be on Battlefield 1 a lot and probably Diablo 3 while the event is on.
Hopefully ZOS reads this and realizes something - I'm not taking a long break from ESO because I wanted to move away from it..... I'm taking this break because their terrible RNG, imbalanced PvP, and seemingly utter lack of caring these days drove me away.

A long thread filled with complaints. At least propose a solution, or at least an original one.
@Ch4mpTW
I have resisted for months posting on a thread you have started but seriously enough is enough. Stop with the bruh, it doesnt make anyone remotely sympathetic to your arguments etc, it just makes you seem obnoxious.
Stop making hundreds of threads, occasionally you make a good point but you have been drowning the forums with the same qq threads for months.
This game is not going to change drastically any time soon, people still enjoy it. I agree with the rng but you are not helping in anyway.

TL;DR. But seriously...? Thank you for not really contributing to the topic at hand, and feeling the need to say something publicly that could've been messaged to me. But clearly, you wanted a scene. You wanted a reaction, and you wanted to seem super bold in doing so. You wanted to appear like a Big Willy on the block. So in turn, hopefully you'll get the agreed and awesomes you're reaching for in coming at me so aggressively. Lol. I hope you get at least 50 of each, and your cyber-rep is boosted for it. Here is a gif of Martin S. for your rant about how I truly feel in response to your response.

Thank you as well for the non-constructive response, that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. I appreciate it.
Keep in mind something, everyone. You all wonder why I behave the way I do, and think of the community as I do... You ask me in messages, on PSN, Skype, etc. all the time why it is so many times I appear to be so apathetic in my dealings with people of the ESO community (outside of those who are genuine and sincere). Especially toward those who don't know me, but still insist upon making a villain out of me. Lol. You say to me all the time of how I should just ignore those types of people, and keep it moving. And to just let ZOS deal with them. Meanwhile... I'm viewed as unnecessarily 'wicked', 'snarky', and short-fused.People in this community are a trip, and truly something special and unique. Boy I tell ya.... See why I said what I said on PSN, @UltimaJoe777 and @Vaoh...? See what I mean? Lmao.
I'm starting to suspect that the main reason RNG rage is ignored is because every thread on it gets derailed by other people.
The RNG needs to be improved in order to secure the survivability of this game. Players keep leaving the game due to unsatisfactory rewards, and keep going back to games like WoW or D3. This is not good for a fairly new game.
