It's interesting that you compare it to D3. When D3 first came out it was terrible under Jay Wilson. Jay Wilson took everything that made D2 a success and excluded it from D3 and held on to his sick twisted pride until the day he was fired. He did exactly the opposite of player feedback because he was Jay Wilson, the chosen one. He became an internet meme for pride and arrogance. After he was fired someone else took over and turned the game around completely and carried on the success of D2 and well as furthering the game along that line.

No one should be defending the RNG in this game. These people put out ad hominems against the OP because they have no logical basis to defend the current RNG situation. People need to stop fanboying. If you support the game take care of it, instead of defending it when it's on fire, help put out the fire.

    This.

I would love for a change in management, I feel this game desperately needs it.

Imo, RNG is only defended by people who do nothing else but play the game and of course they don't care if they have to run something 90000 times to get 1 item. Now i am not saying everything should be ran only once, but there are so many things to do in this game that is not really fun to get stuck in something and keep wasting time in it. "OH YES BUT ITS YOUR CHOICE TO DO SO" *** that.
I am ok with random monster helms, dungeons are a joke easy.
I am not ok with useless traits in vMA, solo and untradeable/unselleable.

I like the beginning of the conversation above. RNG is only defending by those who do nothing else but play the game. When playing the game what else is there? Rhetorical question.

My guess is the serious rage posts about RNG is those who don't won't to play the game as much yet want the gear execute perfect. Humm.

People has talked about tokens yet they want the tokens system to be easy.

Want a vMA weapon, 100 tokens at 1 token per sub. Want a token for a piece of trial gear. 1 token drops per boss and the group rolls on it. 12 runs and you'll have 4 pieces of gear if you will the rolls and it would be in the traits you want.

Don't like that, then enjoy the RNG as it is. Now for those that say that's to much.

Maybe make something new like you can reroll traits on gear/weapons for an amount of gold lets say 30-50K gold to reroll a trait of the weapon or is this just stupid? (this reroll shouldn't be too cheap either)

I am willing to grind for a few days but almost a week of grinding and not getting lucky at all breaks me, I just want to get my stuff and go to PvP instead of doing PvE stuff non stop

@Giles.floydub17_ESO See, while you and I have our disagreements on things. If I'm reading what you're saying correctly, then I agreee with you. I think something like a token system would be wonderful. As I said in my initial post, I have no issues with working toward something. And actually having to put effort in to get something of worthwhile out. I'm perfectly fine with this. However, I have a problem when you can put in tons of work and get little to nothing out of it.

Case and point VMA. I've put in my fair share of tons of runs as the next VMA grinder, and honestly? It isn't even that hard for what it's worth. It's the uncontrollable elements (e.g. lag) that make it challenging. The things that are completely out of our control that makes VMA such bs. And when you're completing something like VMA 100+ times and still not getting what you seek, I find a major problem with that. I have a huge problem with that. 1,000+ runs and people still don't have what they're after? That's ridiculous, and the game developers should be ashamed of themselves. Absolutely ashamed. And those people should be fired and replaced ASAP.

It's 1 thing to work toward something, and have to 'earn' it. But, it's entirely something else when you have to slave at something for months and still not get what you're after. All because 'luck' is stopping you in your tracks. That's horrible.

I love Diablo 3, and witnessed most all of this process. Wish something like this could happen for ESO :disappointed: In a way it did.... except the opposite way. Nick Konkle should've never left.

Diablo 3 did that, and it drew back in tons of people that it lost. I mentioned that in my initial post. It was a brilliant idea on Blizzard's behalf to incorporate an item re-roller. Absolutely brilliant. It made getting gear with good traits that much more attainable, and thus pleased their player base. And in turn drew more people in to play their game and speak highly of it. As well as them themselves for incorporating such a concept. Which goes back to why I said to another person in this thread how Blizzard are masters at hooking people, and keeping them hooked. They'll make changes and shifts to keep people playing, and will work with their player base to see what makes them happy. And then put it all into motion.

I never had D3 but I did play Destiny and they have a reroll option too that's how I got the idea to put it in this game too I agree with you it make it waay better and people will stay instead of leave because they have no luck or little luck. Look if people want to grind non stop thats cool but people who like to PvP only or mostly give them a break ZoS... Let us get the gear and play the PvP in this game

I've haven't tried any breaks from ESO to seriously play other games since it launched on PS4.

My first attempt will be after I accomplish a few reasonable in-game goals I have set for myself. Afterward, I'll buy a house, settle down, organize my 600+ hoarded set items, and leave for a few months until the next patch or two patches roll in. I'm only gonna login for my hireling mats.

Looks like I may have to worry about an ESO heroin addiction now too

I'll be on Battlefield 1 a lot and probably Diablo 3 while the event is on.

Hopefully ZOS reads this and realizes something - I'm not taking a long break from ESO because I wanted to move away from it..... I'm taking this break because their terrible RNG, imbalanced PvP, and seemingly utter lack of caring these days drove me away.

Damn... ZOS has even driven away @Vaoh. Definitely dark moons are upon these forums, my khajiit allies. Dark moons indeed... The Dromathra have invaded the forums, and ZOS HQ. All the while they are possessing people right and left. @SantieClaws please give us some advise on how to rid the forums and ZOS HQ of these negative forces. A khajiit prayer perhaps. T_T

Ive spent 11 days at average 3 hours a day farming world bosses and public dungeon bosses with multiple chararacters set up outside each to allow for no down time between log ins. All in Cold harbour in search of a sharpened fire or ice staff. So far all I have are training and decisive.

Its beyond frustration at this point and has turned into a me VS. RNG fight to the death.

We would have to see how many daily hours are considered enough to get end game gear. I play like 5 hours a day, i wonder if that is ok or if i have to cut sleep hours to fall into the "play enough average". I dont think its based on how many, but in how the time is spent. IF i play 3 hours a day and do only 5 vma runs and get nothing, i can complain more than if i play 3 hours a day and do only Normal dungeons, get it?

I alrdy told that story about me doing 200+ dungeon runs without ever finding a monster helm, right?

Well surprisingly, I never hold my hopes up while farming cuz I never get what I want anyway. Only complete trash, like that Training Ice Staff of the Fire I found the other day in Crag. A Destro Staff from a Stamina Set with the Training Trait at CP160. GJ ZOS...

Or THE reason I'm a strong advocate of a token system for the arenas? Not the fact that I still don't have the weps I want yet. It's because the first time I beat vDSA, I receiveda Decisive Resto Staff. You know what the reward was when I beat it the 2nd time? The exact same Decisive Resto Staff.

And you know the funny thing? Even tho ZOS did make some great improvements like guaranteed monster helmets, a trade system and seperated monster shoulders in reward chests, they seem to be more focused on packaging their RNG in crates and selling them to fools rather than making the game less RNG and more fun.

    I'm not effing happeh, bruh

I have resisted for months posting on a thread you have started but seriously enough is enough. Stop with the bruh, it doesnt make anyone remotely sympathetic to your arguments etc, it just makes you seem obnoxious.

Stop making hundreds of threads, occasionally you make a good point but you have been drowning the forums with the same qq threads for months.

This game is not going to change drastically any time soon, people still enjoy it. I agree with the rng but you are not helping in anyway.

TL;DR. But seriously...? Thank you for not really contributing to the topic at hand, and feeling the need to say something publicly that could've been messaged to me. But clearly, you wanted a scene. You wanted a reaction, and you wanted to seem super bold in doing so. You wanted to appear like a Big Willy on the block. Thank you as well for the non-constructive response, that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. I appreciate it.

Keep in mind something, everyone. You all wonder why I behave the way I do, and think of the community as I do... You ask me in messages, on PSN, Skype, etc. all the time why it is so many times I appear to be so apathetic in my dealings with people of the ESO community (outside of those who are genuine and sincere). Especially toward those who don't know me, but still insist upon making a villain out of me. Lol. You say to me all the time of how I should just ignore those types of people, and keep it moving. And to just let ZOS deal with them. Meanwhile... I'm viewed as unnecessarily 'wicked', 'snarky', and short-fused. :D People in this community are a trip, and truly something special and unique. Boy I tell ya.... See why I said what I said on PSN, @UltimaJoe777 and @Vaoh...? See what I mean? Lmao.

But when I've confronted certain people in-game about some of their forum comments they made toward me, it's a whole other story and apologies right and left. When it's not even that serious, and I just want to talk with them 1-on-1 or duel them if talking can't work out and they truly view me beneath them. And the results are always the same... I can't believe, bruhs...

The thing is that many of the people who tell you @Ch4mpTW to stop posting tend to be the people who are friendly on the forums and post constructivly elsewhere.

But after literally months of months of spamming threads with the same old complaints (there were periods where you were 3-4 new threads in a row) it wears people down, they respect your opinion less until you just are no longer contributing to the forums.

Be constructive, post only when you genuinely need to/have a new, fresh solution and stop calling everyone bruh and then you will see the responses to you become more positive.

Also you using a Martin S gif to show you don't care about being seen as obnoxious, is either an amazingly ironic gesture or....

Lmao.

I doubt that is an honest assessment of how people feel when they read your many threads, it just seems to be your attempt at putting a spin on what you actually do. Im sure I and others say worse stuff than you and create a fraction of the drama. It's not the community, it's not the game, it's not the forum regulars, it's just you. You do seem terribly unhinged though and take stuff on the forums way way too seriously, hopefully one day you will seek out the help you really need instead of seeking attention on these forums.

I'm starting to suspect that the main reason RNG rage is ignored is because every thread on it gets derailed by other people. :/

The RNG needs to be improved in order to secure the survivability of this game. Players keep leaving the game due to unsatisfactory rewards, and keep going back to games like WoW or D3. This is not good for a fairly new game.

Yeah I don't get it either. The system is indefensible but people continue to obfuscate the issue through personal attacks. Every thread, any OP, any poster...it doesn't matter. It's always defended by personal attacks because there is no way to defend a system that doesn't reward a player for hundreds of hours spent on the most challenging content the game has to offer. I just don't get why. Obfuscating this by focusing on the posters isn't saving the game, it's not doing it any favors. People are leaving because of this system, that is a hard fact. Putting a sheet over it isn't going to stop that. We won't hear from Ch4mpTW ever again because of what people have said in this thread. That is messed up.
