@Elijah_Crow don't give up fella, I bet it's just around the corner. I felt hopeless two weeks ago, all deaths felt random and impossible. Then after a 100 go's things started to slow down and I leart what was killing me, then slowly learn part 1, and eventually started to find it easy, then same process started with stage 2 and so on.

I feel VMA is too hard, and not worth. I failed more than 200 times at the finial boss. I spent many days, a lot of resource, and my energy on VMA. Not worthy, totally not worthy. I gave up. Actually, I want to quit the game cuz too frustrating.

It is frustrating, but mainly if you fight the mechanic. It feels impossible then you work something out or change tack, or notice something and it unlocks that part.

I had several small points on that final boss I leant that were a game changer. Blocking skulls not rolling in stage one, timing of the sigil use, when to Interupt boss, plan For Crystals, keeping self heals going up top etc etc.

Personally now I'm through I think its the perfect challenge and should be made no easier. It is after all labelled as the hardest solo content in the game, and it sure is that. I think first pass though a million XP and another skill point alongside the weopons

I AGREE COMPLETELY. I beat it for the first time this week as well and like you it me a long time. I was pretty bitter only geting 18k exp.

Actually, this is by no means a commonly accepted definiton of insanity at all. People on the internet like it because it's catchy and allegedly quotes Einstein, who probably didn't say that at all - and if he did, most likely he was talking about something else entirely.

Had no idea of the apparent einstein connection, or that it is 'popular' i heard if of a phychology major at univerity on a drunken night at a metal bar!

I get that its difficult, but is it really so bad that after 100 try you gave up and quit the ENTIRE game??? What cp are you, cause it took me 3 days for my first clear at ~340 cp.

Always a congrats to those who complete it first time. Everyone's been there and felt that adrenaline rush and the shakes, then the slowly growing temptation to go back in again as you feel you can do it again much easier and the memories fade in the glow of success.

Flawless might be a while away, but go back in soon before you get rusty

Many people will actively push for Flawless, but you don't have to. If you keep running vMA--and you can pace yourself like I did so that you don't burn out--you will get better and better and that Flawless will come naturally as a matter of course.

It explains what to watch out for and when, with what sigils to grab at that specific time to ensure you don't die.

Broke it up a bit over a few weeks, left when a boss annoyed me too much, then came back. Some stages I was straight thru, but a few were nails. Ice one especially. Been on Stage 9 last two weeks and whilst rounds 1-5 seemed straightforward for the life of me I couldnt crack that Voriak, mistakes, bad timings etc etc. Completion run was sketchy but who cares, its done!

Huge thanks to @DRXHarbinger, @Lukums1 for the advice & anyone else that's posted on a few of the thread's. And ZOS for the Orsinium event which gave me focus to get it done

I hate to admit this, as I know people strive for them but I got a Sharpened Dagger, sadly its of little value to me as I’m a Magika build ☹ Infused Ice Staff also. Dagger ill put on my Archer Alt, just a low level Fun build tho sadly!!

Grats man, it really does feel good when you get that first clear under your belt. I too finally got a sharp dagger last night (after about a year) haha. Now if I could only get that sharp inferno...

Just think, in 3-4 months, you can be raging on the forums with the rest of us about the terrible RNG.

@code65536 I was the exact same way. I would run this place just often enough to put up a decent score, but I almost never ran it 2 days in a row. I thought Flawless was impossible for me. It wasnt until this recent event (coupled with just enough power creep) that I started doing back to back runs. Finally had the place memorized enough that I could grab a handful of sigils in a few key spots, and I knocked of Flawless on 2 toons in a week. My next goal is mDK, which will definitely be a challenge. I only ran it on mDK a few times way back, and if memory serves, it was not fun. Haha.

taking a break is not the same as quitting

trying to run a solo trial when you are a support player is not fun

my CP is not the issue,
my gear is not the issue,
my set up is not the issue
trying to run 'end game content' I dont enjoy, playing a role I dont enjoy, that requires fast reflexes when i have severe arthritis is the issue

But good 4 you completing it, i couldnt get past the ice round when it 1st launched i had 300CP at the time
