Did you have an old version of the MailR addon? That allows replying to and forwarding of mail.
The developers of MailR discovered that the entire mail backend got rewritten with One Tamriel - even though from a user's perspective, nothing has changed - so it's very possible that ZOS are planning to add new features to the mail system Soon (TM).Guildmaster of the UESP Guild on the North American PC/Mac Server 2350+ CP & also found on the European PC/Mac Server 1700+ CP

If ZOS listened to all requests, they'd have to make :

- Character creation and dye system like Photoshop
- EMail system like Thunderbird
- Guild stores like Access
- Housing system like AutoCAD
- Chat system like Skype
- etc etc

Sure, I was just making a point, not saying that all the above software are the "best" in each category. And I'm not denying either that some additional basic features are sorely needed in ESO. But I can understand why ZOS cannot do *everything* in every aspect.

A reply option is a very basic feature.Why be normal when you can be better?

Back in the days of hand written inter office memorandums, we had a standard memo form to use which had a reply section on it if we were expecting, or required, a response. Yes, I am old and started work before the internet existed, but a reply option was standard even then.Australian on PS4 NA server.

It could very well slow the whole mail system down, more than it is now. Also, people would howl at the moon as they had to rezone to have a "conversation" with someone.

Every game I've ever played with the exception of this one , has no trouble with ingame Mail . It's amazing what limitations are set here .1 -

✭Actually, I brought up this question, and it was answered in one of the most recent ESO lives, which was quite a while back (like around when SoTH was released). They implied by their comment that they would be coming soon. Yea... nope. No mention of it ever since.
I also asked about a filter system for guild traders on console. They just said, 'it's a good idea, we'll look into it.' (in other words, no ETA.)
