No. Staff is two handed. You need two hands to hold it. You only have two hands. So no ...

    Gandalf proves you wrong.

I want a Staff and Sword skill line, personally.

And Gandolf is from a different fantasy land so it does not apply.

    I wish, resto staff/shield I'd be immortal.

You'd still be knockable down and torn to pieces.

You can say that about literally any build, way to contribute. This is why pvp is garbage and largely ignored by the player base.

I have never seen my char so much as touch a stave with his left hand. He does use his left hand for casting though.

Take that complaint to the ZOS animators, they obviously didn't get the memo that staves are two-handed.

Maybe two hands on a staff is for... (brace yourselves)... bo fighting.

Frankly I think a lot of the staff abilities would look unnatural using two hands, which may be why they didn't go that route. But yeah, as it stands, needing two hands to hold a magical staff just doesn't hold up as an argument. We literally see how it's not necessary every time we use a staff ability. And somebody signed off on the animations, no doubt.

    You mean spear and shield.

Would also like Spear and Sheild.

Why should it look unnatural ? If I can hold a sword in a hand and a shield in the other, why not a staff ? Not like those from the game, but a shortened version, by the size of a big stick to match the sword. (Not as flimsy as Harry Potter version).
"Is it true her wounds healed on their own ? Yes" No s***, at 75% health regen penalty!

I was a vampire like you, but then I took an idea to the head...

    No....
    ..because that just reinforces ...
    MAGICKA OR STAMINA
    ..rather than...
    MAGICKA AND STAMINA

Which means (unsurprisingly) you have to invest in all magicka or all stamina and hybrids remain a distant memory of the criminally insane.

I have no problems with ward (damage shield) being part of the 1h/s skill line.

    Aside from that though...
We can have disease or poison or bleed...so in theory specialisation is on a per weapon basis.
Now take fire, storm, frost magic.
Should you not be able to combine...
fire/storm, fire/frost, storm/frost weapons like you can a disease and poison weapon in a dual wield fashion ?
And if so should there be a 2h version that combines elemental magic or multiplies a single element effect ?
Should 2h melee weapons be capable of poison+disease ?
