I have never finished vMSA. Always lagging out on the last boss fight. Been there many times but if someone asks me to put it on crown store, answer is -

    NO

Took me 5 runs of vSO to get all aether and VO jewellery in gold . After last patch when sharing got enabled now I've both of them in 2 sets for my other toons. Took around 30+ runs to get VO dagger/ axe in sharp and precise trait by exchanging with other people. So it's not that bad ATM as OP seems to make it look like.

You're lucky to have players who can successfully do a veteran trial run, and have the proper DPS and gear to help them in the long run. Not all of us are that fortunate enough to be blessed with such privilege. As of right now I cannot join any trial/dungeon guilds due to the fact that you can only be in 5 guilds. I'm not in the position to disband one at this time.

Lol at good DPS being "privilege"

OP, join a PvE guild, do Vet, profit. If you aren't good enough to do Vet, you don't need a full set of infallible. Alternatively, get a decent group and run regular till your ears and eyes bleed.

I want 5 VO, 5 Hundings and 1 kena/bloodspawn on my stamplar, and I absolutely COULD farm NSO, and would not mind it. But I have RL commitments and can take it slow for all of time. When gear starts going into the crown store, this game will have a clock ticking down, and I don't want that.

I said that I can't join a PvE guild at this time due to the fact that I'm already involved in my 5 trading guilds as we speak of. I cannot disband either one at this time.

Oh and how on earth can I be good enough to do vet if I don't have the proper gear to give me that extra oomph? Yes this game requires you to have proper gear for you to be successful, so yeah. I do need a full of infallible (Divines) to increase my overall performance. Just like you need a full set of VO.

I don't understand why you guys are having a panic attack over the idea that people are willing to spend their crowns to get a full set of gear that will help boost up their performance.

I don't want to just purchase crowns just to get another mount or buy costumes. I want to also purchase gear sets too for convenience.... just like I can purchase Motfits.

If I can purchase a 5 crown experienced scrolls for the price of 1000 crowns that will boost my experience by 50% for 2 hours then why can't I purchase trial gear sets? Yes I'm afraid you guys fears came true. This is a Pay-to win game. Accept it as facts. People can buy experience for crowns.

Buying an experience boost is not the same as buying experience directly. You still go and grind the xp (and we have an in-game equivalent that you can buy at any guild kiosk, the Psijic Ambrosia). You want to outright buy something that boosts your performance. And a Motif is only cosmetic, it does nothing to your performance.

And people do dungeons with crafted sets (and there are some pretty good combinations), with pieces with bad traits and with CR 150 pieces (that drop in normal) until they drop the pieces they want on vet. That's how it is done. It's a process. If you still want to skip it, you can buy monster equipment in the PvP vendor for gold and use that to farm your Infallible set. I mean, if you are in five trading guilds, I imagine you make plenty of gold to drop on the PvP vendor.

I think you could only understand how bad selling BiS gear for money is for the health of a game if you saw a MMO decay and die because of that before, like many of us did. None of the examples you gave throughout the thread get you any closer to the top of the leaderboards, so none of them come close to selling BiS gear in the store.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

So... you want the best gear for endgame PvE... yet you can't even be bothered to join a guild that does endgame PvE or to run vet trials? That's like saying that you want a Formula One race car but have no interest in racing and just want to drive to and from the grocery store.

You gotta make decisions in this game. What's more important to you, playing the economic game, or playing the endgame content? Nobody needs--or should have--5 trading guilds. And I'm saying that as someone who is the GM of a trading guild.

If you want the best gear for endgame PvE, you should participate and earn it in endgame PvE. Period.

By removing the trash sets from the trials (Viper, Werewolf Hide, ...) the chance for Trial sets is now as high as it never was before even with the dillution from the new sets. So just play Trials and get'em!

you want in game gear for real money/crowns it will absolutly kill this game to go pay to win and you might as well help ZOS turn the severs off cause nobody in there right mind would play this game if it was pay to win lol( a part of me wants to see P2W its fun to watch the world burn sometimes)

ABSOLUTELY NOT, stop being lazy and grind it out. If you want pay to win go somewhere else. ESOT1 is not the game for you.

Monster helms are guaranteed, of course it will take time to get the trait you want. You may not get the shoulder you want initially but at least you get them. 50% of the monster sets I use don't have "preferable traits" but at least I have them and I'm doing very well without preferable traits.

When you get the trait you want ok, but what after? You will get bored once you get the set you want. you will end up making another character and doing it all over again.

Then you make another thread like this, The cycle is never ending.

They will never do that. A "Valkyn Skoria" motif is more likely than "dungeon" sets being available in the store.

I don't like the idea of course, but if it was available I'd write ZOS a blank cheque so they can take as much as they want. Mainly because I can't find people to run trials with on a regular basis.
But no, you should never be able to buy any gear from the crown store, unless it's purely cosmetic or for roleplay purposes.

    Abeille,
I forgot to mention that you can purchase the vampire/werewolf buff in the crown store. Yes this does impact you and give you an extra bonus during combative situations. For Werewolf you get an extra perk if you have the werewolf ultimate slotted. I believe you get 15% stamina recovery while as vampire under the supernatural recovery passives you get an increased Magicka and Stamina recovery by 10% on rank 2.

I'm sorry if it breaks your heart, but this is a pay-to-win game the very moment ZoS offered the vampire/werewolf buff to their players in this game (Why is it so difficult to get this naturally out into the wild???) including adding in a barber shops that you must pay real life money to change your appearances (Even know is minor) and change your name, including race. ZoS has decided to go down that dark path for which they realize that they can profit a lot off of the micro-transactions that they've decided to add into their ESO game.

If I have to wait 6 months of endless farming just to get a divine piece for the Infallible aether set, or get a monster piece (After so many training and Prosperous traits) from the gold/silver key that I want will give me enough time to find another game to play. There comes to the point where people get fed up with farming all day long, and not getting rewarded at the end. Like you I am a diehard fan of the elder Scrolls game. I love Skyrim and Oblivion. I love the lore and everything else, but I ain't going to waste my time farming the same exact trial/dungeon, and not getting the satisfaction. The fact that I can't even sell unwanted trial/monster set gear like VO that I wand up getting in the guild store to those who want it is ridiculous. After an hour it becomes bounded to your account... even if you do not wield it.

One question for you; how many skill points do you have to have to use the armor? Can't you wear any heavy/light/medium gear right out of coldharbor? You can invest the skill points to get benefits from them, but you can wear any weight gear without any skill points at all.

Werewolf and vampire might be up for purchase in the crown store because the feminine-hygiene-product-bag players were killing the spawns so players would have to pay for a bite. Players were killing the spawns so no one would be able to get bit in the wild. After many complaints/rants on the forums about it, the skill line showed up in the crown store. Please note, however, that you only get the transformation. You get no bonuses, passives or active abilities. You have to invest skill points in them to have them be even remotely useful.

I make a new character, level them to 50, then buy the best in slot gear. I don't have to invest any time or skill points before I can wear the armor. Not even close to what you have to do for vampire or werewolf.

There are always folks that are going to complain adding Monster Sets or Trial sets to the crown store will be P2W. If a player wants to spend his or her money purchasing those items via the crown store then that is there choice. Not everyone wants to play Ole McDonald's Little Farm doing trials and delves over and over again in hopes of getting those armor or weapon set pieces they want that (1) apply to their class and (2) have worthwhile traits on them. As another player has stated in this thread, "My Wallet Is Ready".
  • Mitsumi

Lol, how do you know whoever buys them will actually "win" at anything?

P2W would be getting gear or bonuses no one else can get without paying for it, not farmable crap everyone else has and can get.

Everybody just cries about anything, and those people moaning only probably even pvp's 2% of the time they play. Lol

In the end, nothing in this world is fair, let alone a game. Also, this game was created for profits, not to win the trophy for the most "balanced" game in history.
