The gargoyle can be DPS'd at melee range so there was no need to be at range. In fact, being at range for that fight is probably the worst thing you can do because as that boss does it's ground smash that you're trying to stay out of, the room collapses which could result in your death. If your healer is good enough, they can heal right through the ground smash AoE. While kicking you is extreme, to be honest, if I had someone using just a bow regardless of their rotation on that fight, I'd have kicked them too.
there was nothing wrong with my health and i always try to make it easy for the healer when the need arises. The only thing that really bugs me about people who use a bow is it seems they always want to stand behind me when I am healing. I used to try and move so I could see them and still concentrate on the tank but often they would just slide on around behind me again. I want to just let them die then tell them it happened because I couldn't find them but in the end I go soft and hit breath of life wasting my resources just for them.
I have never kicked someone from a group or voted yes to kick (except for long disconnects) but I have a few times after a few wipes told the group I didn't think we were going to be able to finish and then leave myself. My thinking is if I am the one unhappy with the group I should be the one that leaves. I'm always nice about it though when I do go and will give the group a few chances before deciding.
Back to the bow thing. People who use ranged attack please please please stay in front of the healer or at least in his line of sight.

You need to elaborate and explain which skills you were using. I use a bow as a main weapon and daggers as secondary and I have never had problems for using a bow. What matters is to know when to use the bow and when not to. I am not saying I do not trust you but I am sure there was another reason other than just having a bow equipped to get kicked out from a group.
The other DPS in the group probably noticed he was pulling 70% of the group DPS and got tired of carrying "Bow Spammers".
Yeah, things were dying quick but they probably kicked you on principle alone.
Take the time to re-evaluate your build, do some parses and learn how to contribute to the group in your chosen role.
It shouldnt matter if you dont like it, if it still works, it ain't broken. Back when i was a crappy player i went into a dungeon as a low level sorc healer and we still finished it. That alone should prove that all your excuses to justify kicking is bogus.

It absolutely does matter. If your build is bad enough to hinder 3 other people in a group to a point where they all decide to vote yes and remove you. Spend less time crying on the forum about how you were treated badly and learn your role.

Sadly if im in a dungeon with a bow spammer the first thought on my mind is "this dude has no clue what he's doing" a terrible assumption but one that most ppl make.
People who think using a bow doesn't work are just ignorant.

Don't worry about it man. You're going to run into scum in life and in games. And apparently on these forums lol.If what you say is true you did nothing wrong.Play how you like, especially if you're accomplishing your goal.

I agree completely, and bow is fun! If some guys kicked me from a group due to getting a bow out, they would have some serious whispers, because in a dungeon they would in fact be the ones to look like idiots for kicking a fourth member for such a dumb reason, perhaps it was nothing to do with you at all, and because they had another dps who wanted to join the group? I have seen this before... Its not your problem though, so just ignore them and find some normal people to play with
If you are on PC-EU and ever get stuck and need people to do dungeons with who are not judgemental arses, my friends and I would be more than happy to accompany you AND your bow
Right or wrong, as a dps the thing you are most likely to get kicked for is standing in the back with a bow. there's a reason doing that has a bad reputation, it does low dps. you should avoid doing it because it will annoy people. it's really not fair on the other dps who has to carry. imagine if both dps were both standing there with a bow, the group will wipe on bloodspawn long before you klll it that way.

in your opinion is the bow useless for dungeons?

No, dual wield and bow is perfect but as you've already been told the only bow skills you need are Endless Hail and Poison Injection. you shouldn't be using dual wield or bow for a whole fight, you should be switching between them.

Read the build I linked.
