The are no point trader in this game if you are casual players that is fact not matter what people say i have been kick out from trading guild for i dont trader 24/7 and that is not what this game is about for me.
Personal i craft all what i need for simple fact try to buy something from trader is so overprice and that is fact too and run around the world to found the best price is beyond stupid and dont want spend my game time to run after best price in the game and ZoS can easy fix problem with trading and trader guild in this game.
The can add feature the look for item from all trader guilds in game when stand at one off trader guild vendor and the can also have few neutral trader vendor in game where anyone can put on trader if want to but cost little more then if you was in trader guild post the trader.
Honest it is not so hard to do that for honest force player to join trader guild just so you cna trader is silly for what happen to so call "you can play as want and do want in game" go if you being force in trader guild for not everyone want to join those guild to be honest.
And like fact the are them in this post what "that we dont want AH" you people dont speak or representative majority of player on this game you only speak and representative yourself so dont use word like that.

Maybe what they should do is, when you look at the map, and you hover over the guild trader icon, it shows you not only the name of the trader, but what guild has him at that moment.

That also doesn't sound bad at all and would already improve QOL
That and they should improve the vanilla UI. I know we are but mere peasants, but they should really take a look at what the add-ons PC have and implement some of those. It's quite lazy work of them to let the Modders do all the work for the most basic functions their UI should have had from the start. I know the devs themselves are well-versed in a variety of games and that this isn't their first rodeo, but sometimes... it makes you doubt that.
The last thing I heard was that they are working on buff timers, or something of the sort, for a future update. A step in the right direction, for which the console community would rejoice over and throw their knickers up in the air.

Oh yeah and silver has weight so you have to convert it to gold bars then move it then reconvert it to silver in the main city warehouse just to buy what you want... Nevermind the lack of teleport... Yer walkin bru.

I like most of the ways that ESO chooses to differentiate themselves from mmo generica - the guild stores instead of auction house, the lack of player inspection, the decision (so far) not to put advantage-giving weapons and gear in tbe cash shop.

Did it ever occur to you that the reason that other MMO's have auction houses is that they work and players like them?
I'd actually have to disagree with you there.
They don't work, they just are what you want cause you don't like the system this game offers.
I hear you! I keep the bulk of my silver in Heidel and only have minimal amounts in other cities in case I need to buy something and don't want to trek all the way back. Getting around in that game is so time consuming...

Guild traders are financial PvP. What wrong with that? Just don't like schlepping around to all the beautiful destinations?

I think it's even simpler than that. I think they just don't like the idea of "shopping". They just want a one stop shop where they can get the absolute lowest global price on anything they want. They don't like the idea of there being another shop out there somewhere that potentially has an even lower price on whatever they're buying because then they feel like they got ripped off for not doing the work of actually finding this other shop.
This is assuming of course that buying stuff for cheap is their only motivator and that they aren't the people interested in the far more damaging aspects of having an auction house.
.I've stated many times that I am pro-AH( not necessarily global). I mainly solo pve quest, enjoy the immersion, the lore, the vastness of Tamriel, the liveliness of seeing others run around, PVP, the list goes on, but tend to dis-like the politics of guilds ( at least in other games). I also dont subscribe to the opinion that everything will be bought up instantly and re-sold at a higher price monopoly theory ( plz don't go here, not my point !)
Serious question here though...What would be wrong if they added a rogue vendor ( as someone else mentioned in this thread), one in each Capital city maybe? This vendor would allow ANYONE to list their wares for sale..Could this be abused ? I currently can't see how and consider this the best of both worlds maybe??

Get an add-on. What is this 1995?
I find myself actually looking forward to next week when my sub ends
No more worries about AH/no AH, good GTs/bad GTs.
Thank you, Z!
The advice to just leave if you don't like how they're running the trade system is solid for some of us.

I would also be mildly interested in learning more about the bid system as I do have a guild that is slowly working up to enough peeps for a kiosk and do not want to waste $$$; just have some fun.

Lucius_Aelius wrote: »This system definitely needs some work but I firmly believe it should stay essentially as it is. As always my main suggestions to make it better are to completely rework the search interface to allow for proper searches to be made in addition to filters for the results (and for searches to be remembered when going from ine trader to the next), and for players to be able to sell in any trader they want for a higher automatic cut to the Guild who owns it (with a new permission for Guilds to allow those with it to set minimum prices for all items sold at that Guild's Trader to prevent non-Guild members from undercutting Guild members).
That's not all a perfect fix, but it solves a lot of the problems people have with it, and I think these conversations about improvements would be a lot less divisive and more constructive if that's the system we were playing with and looking to make better. Ultimately though I think this Guild Trader system is better for this game certainly than any auction house could be, and that decentralized is the best way to go. You should always have to work for it and talk to different traders if you want the best deals, or work for getting things yourself if that's too much trouble, having things too readily available for cheap would only serve to cheapen the experience of playing the game altogether and acquiring loot for yourself.
