A DPS that Ques as a Tank. Run into that almost daily and as a healer it's very annoying.

People who queue for a role that can't handle should be kicked from a group ASAP and without any other explanation. I'm totally OK with somebody that can fill more than one role, who changes his gear and skills to fit his chosen role, but a DD that has no shield and taunt on the bar and queues as tank, or has not even a healing staff or other healing spells and queues as a healer should not even be allowed to run in that dungeon.

My favorite I can heal/dps on a few toons, or tank/dps. I queue for healing while I wait I have my dps gear on farming and doing mobs. I get ported in and before I can change my skills gear, the group runs full speed in, even after I say that I have change gear/skills. They all wipe, lucky I am far enough back I don't get agro, they all complain that I let them die and all complaining. We get to 1st boss their dps is only around 5k each in Wayrest 2. I am pulling more dps then they are while also healing. We spend 40 mins in delve only to 2nd boss since they keep pulling and wiping, I finally said enough and dropped group since they complained the whole time about it.

My best was before they dungeons scaled up. I am farming in Glenumbra on my max level dps toon. A level 11 was looking for someone to help them get Spindle done, I am bored so I carry them through it basically solo, afterwards go offline mode so I can farm in piece. About 20 mins later I see in zone that level 11 got a group of others around that level and they were taking them in Spindle. They come out of Spindle complaining about how hard the first boss was, since they could not get past it, and going off in zone. I am still farming laughing about it, since the guy did not check my level before I carried him through Spindle earlier.

My group finder horror goes like this,

    Tanks who cant tank;

    Healers who don't heal,

Dps who run around like headless chickens and spend most of the fight being ressed,

    The end.................................................

None, really. I usually run with guildies but I somedays I play in different timetables and I have to use the group finder. Yeah, I have wiped with pugs, I have also cleared the white gold tower.

I don't know, group finder is like the lottery xD You know you can get a good group / normal one / bad one. At least now the group finder is working!!!

Dungeons are easy normally. Although I really despise being the tank/healer (which i normally am) with very bad DPS.

Group finder experience yesterday on Xbox one:
Join vet city of Ash pledge, the group was stuck at ash titan when I joined.

Me stam dk tank(max cp): although haven't played properly in past couple months: had boss taunted constantly, as well as the multiple air atronarchs (spinny things.) Whilst I had to self heal and keep my resources up and DPS.
My dps 15k-20k but could not always attack due to resource management and having to heal, tank etc.

186 dps- mag nightblade, looked like he was ok but still learning and needed better gear, had a better rotation than other 2 but was super squishy and die quickly, due to no healer and I'm guessing wearing all light armour. 10k dps I guess but was dead mostly.

195 healer - was a stamina nightblade, didn't even have vigour slotted. Light attacked with bow(only weapon I saw him use) until assassin proc and reapeat - 2k dps I guess. Also he didn't Rez if others died.

554 dps - Stam sorc with the Centurian pvp title, I thought yay maybe he has dps... nope. He was probably about 5k dps, although he managed to vigour himself and res the other low dps/fake healer. He just stood in the distance with hurricane whilst spamming poison injection and light attacks nothing else, oh he also spammed power surge at least 3 times in 15 secs.

We did it first try but it took ages.. at least 20 min maybe 30 min.
I didn't die but I had to be constantly self healing, attacking, and taunting multiple enemies.

After we beat him, one wrote in chat "good tanking". I wrote "sorry guys don't have time, dps is to low, good luck"
Yes maybe not nice but I know it was impossible to beat Skoria with them in the current setups they all had, also I had to go out too.

Felt I had to vent this. I've had many worse experiences, many better.
But why are people so bad at this game?
Just go in a dungeon spamming light attack, do they not get bored of spamming 1 button?

TLDR - people need to L2P

    Your fault! All your fault!

Here are the steps you were supposed to do

1, after jumped into dungeon. Stay, dont move, and take a look at the group list.
2, kick the 186 dps, queue a new guy.
3, After queue the new guy, kick the 195 healer, queue another new guy.
4, Check the group list again, make sure no one's cp is lower then 350. Otherwise, do kick again.

Haha if only but as I said the 500+ guy was just as bad.

I loaded into the dungeon and came to this and I almost left, but then I realized I was the highest CP in the group (I was the Healer). The DPS that asked the Tank to do his job was the second highest CP so I was confused as to why the group was putting up with it, I would have gladly found a replacement and I even whispered it to the DPS, but he said he had muted him and he just wanted to get the pledge over with.

lol one of the bad/funny things that happen every now and then when you are the ONLY healer and your group decides to split up and stay away from the healer... lol its fun running heal one running back heal other running again lol just running backwards and forwards spamming heals so they don't die.

there was one guy who keep on staying away from the group and when he died blamed me for not healing him , mind you the other two were fighting the boss, so anyway i explained there is range of heals and if i run towards him to heal him the other two would die as we have 3 dps and one healer me.. and no tank ...he still insisted i should be healing him that is MY JOB ... funny that i don't get paid to be personal healer but anyway ...next boss he died within 5 sec ..the same thing he didn't listen to me and he had to wait until we finished it as we could not res him .. next boss guess what ? he was so close to me i had to place restraining order on him LOL

Oh, My horror stories just from this week. Queued for random dailies 6 times on a lowbie. Started at lvl 35 and kept going.

I never got kicked from any group, including one of some CP players that were just doing the normal DLC dungeon pledge.

No offense. I have had a rare bad experience, but it has been rare over the past, say, 9 months.

Granted, I may be luckier than the average player with GF.

I know I said that I didn't have a horror story with Group Finder, I did remember a recent incident...

Two weeks ago I was feeling brave, and also desperate to finish off my Spell Power Cure jewelry set, so I queued for a PUG for Veteran White Gold Tower.

Group finder pinged immediately, to reveal our group. One dps and three healers. :D

(We kicked one of the healers who was showing as offline, gained a 2nd dps, and ran it that way, 2/2 no tank. Overall it was very successful, and a great group, but that was a really funny moment in the beginning. And that is my horror story of how Group Finder cannot be trusted).

    Yesterday;

    Wayrest sewers 1

Enter the group qued as a DD to find a tank using DW and Bow. Never one to judge and with a it's a group finder dungeon and an easy at that; how bad can be attitude we get started.

Had group wipes at every boss along the way but recovered after each so not the most fun PUG group but by far not my worst experience, plus by now I'm dying to see the last boss fight with the backstab, bleed, and steel tornado of dagger of doom.

We finally get there I make sure to read the scroll because hey self torture is only good if you go all the way. You half ass yourself you will always question if you could take or not.

Four wipes later I ask in chat, Any chance our tank can actually tank? Lo and behold to my wondering eyes do appear a sword and shield and and immoveable and dragon skin but as I'm watching this glorious change from average DD to glorious tank right in front of my eyes I notice his health went from 17.5 K to a paltry 16.8 K during this transformation. I chuckled on the inside and cried on the outside.

The poor man walks up the sneaky backstabbing little "B" that she is smaks her in the face and promptly gets to be fair two shotted. This happens theee more times before the person leaves of their own accord.

We wait, we wait, we wait and soneone invited a tank. In all his CP81 glory, no judgment here folks, I was proud to have an actual real I want to be a tank tank regardless of CP.

His introduction of himself began with this, "Oh hey guys the only way I've been able to beat this boss is if I run around the stone pillar and you DPS her while I run". Not a ringing self endorsement but we have a tank, let's get some keys.

Four wipes later, he says this. " Hey let me change skills I'm going to put on Werewolf so I can tank better". I'm thinking stam regen doesn't help you in block but hey, he pays his sub I pay mine he wants to slot werewolf slot werewolf.

The next run is going well all things considered boss at half health he proclaims, "She's at half health, I'm going wolf". I literally screamed like a 12 year old school girl who just discovered boy bands "nooooooooooo" and I was you guessed it to late he was already growling and slashing and pouncing like a werewolf lord for about six seconds. Followed by a death and group wipe.

So because I'm obviously to dumb to know not to ask, "why did you do that". Response "I get more health (false) I'm more tanky (slightly true) I have more stam (true) and I have these cool pets to help me tank (also true)". In true I shouldn't have fashion I ask "How did all that work out for you?"

So an hour later I turn in the pledge for two keys.

For those who say this game is to easy, you just don't PUG, you don't interact with a good 80% or so of the citizens of Tamriel, and you miss so many wonderful stories and lessons.

Like slotting werewolf helps you tank.

What I saw just a day ago. Queue for random vet, as a dd. Ate some food while waiting, drunk some fizzy liver removal "drink", finally got a group for vCoA. Teleported there, and we started the dungeon. After first pack of mobs I find out that I am the only DD lol. Some 350ish DC dude that queued as DD forgot to swap toon and brought healer

I was like, ok, what do we do now, and other healer said " Now we gonna heal the **** out of you, boy".
We sure had some laugh and then the healer wannabe DD left. Haven't lol'd that much in days

This is why i pug. While it can take time and cause a whole lot of frustration, there is a whole lot of fun to be found in the, well let us see how this goes...

Sure charging right through a dungeon can be fun. It also gets really boring. Pugs, the spice of life!

I personally laugh everytime i do vet wayrest 1 with someone around 16k health. I get the dungeon i look at peoples health and i laugh knowing when we get to the end that person will get one shot over and over again. It makes me giggle. But Im sort of a ***.

My friends and I all are high CP and have a ton of max level alts, good gear, and a lot of dungeon experience. We spend most weeknights running pledges for those elusive perfect traited and weighted shoulders and inevitably as the evening winds down we are often short a player or two for the last runs. Sometimes we duo or three man or grab someone from guild chat, but sometimes we use group finder to fill that last spot just so someone else can have a smooth pug run. It's almost always a good experience but sometimes it's pretty funny. My personal fave was the healer who otherwise did a great job and knew the fights and skills to use, but for some reason gave us a big honkin' siege shield for every boss fight.

But I mean, we didn't take any siege damage so that's good i guess.

I've only had one and it was more of an annoyance than horror story.

I had joined a group as a healer and two of the four of them were friends (I assume) and came together. They didn't pay any attention to what the other guy and I were doing, just ran through the dungeon as fast as they could and kept making smart comments about having to heal themselves. I don't mind speed runs, but you have to talk to your group if you're going to run through that fast. There was no team work or even attempted communication, just them two talking to each other in their own little world. It's real hard to heal folks when they just take off and do their own thing, not caring if you're around. Until they need help that is, then it's all your fault.

I was the tank cp330, friend was dps cp170 we used activity finder to do a random normal and it lumped us with a lvl 12 dps and a lvl 24 healer. I told my friend what the hell maybe they have a bunch of cp. so we proceed through to the first mob and we're doing ok at first then all I see the healer doing is spamming heavy attacks and no heals. At that time both dps die and I'm text chatting him with no response. So we initiated a kick. Then...oh wow miraculously he finally says something, "f u higher levels thinking your above everyone." I replied back with explaining he wasn't doing his role as a healer. Needless to say we waited and queued and it found a lvl 14 healer. My first thought was oh no lol but we made it through the dungeon just fine and he healed the whole way through like a boss.

I was the tank cp330, friend was dps cp170 we used activity finder to do a random normal and it lumped us with a lvl 12 dps and a lvl 24 healer. I told my friend what the hell maybe they have a bunch of cp.

    Snip

I see you queued for normal and expected people with high CP?.....

Did I say that? To answer your question not particularly. The way you ask you make it sound as if higher cp doesn't do normal? That was the first time in a long time I've ran a dungeon with anyone under cp 50. That's on normal using activity finder.
Another thing, if I actually was looking for a higher cp they both would have been kicked and I would have queued until I saw cp instead. Wouldn't have ran the dungeon and completed it with a lvl 12 and 14

First time I queued for Vet Cradle. I have pretty good dps (can beat Vet Maelstrom without a problem) and Stam Sorc. Get to the last boss and I'm having a hard time sustaining on my own. I hadn't really paid attention to what they healer was doing, but I was low on resources and asked for a heal. He said (and he was a 561 CP Templar) that he was also low on resources. I died, he died, we wiped, and so we start again.. Same thing again. Now I know the DPS mechanics, but I thought maybe there was something sucking all his magicka or something. I asked what heal is using and he says that he is spamming Breathe of LIfe, so I asked if he could use Springs instead and we would stay closer. He didn't have it. I asked what heals he used and he says that is the only one any good group needs. I asked what his setup was and he says Sword and Board and Bow. I asked him what set his resto staff was from and he said that true healers don't need a resto staff.... I left the group.

Sunday night I am hosting a guild pledge night event and an odd number of people show up, so I let the other guildies form groups and I head off to pug the first pledge on my tank alone. The pug I end up with finishes the dungeon faster than the guild group. After that one of the guildies comes along with me to do another pledge, the healer and dps we get are awesome and I hit undaunted 9 on that character.

Couple nights later I'm pugging with my stam sorc DPS, first group is pro and we get the speed run achievement. Second group is excellent, we get the speed run and no death achievements.

Pugged vet Volenfell with some low-cp players. They're new to dungeons, discussing tactics and looking stuff up on Google. I could give them advice but they are all quite industrious so I let them try a couple different strategies until we get it just right. Good job newbs!

Later I'm with one friend and we're pugging more pledges, first group is solid and we get a speed run. One guy leaves but the other random wants to do another. We pull a fourth from guild but have to wait for him to crush some dude in a duel. The random guy is awesome and chats with us while we wait for the guild mate. The dungeon goes nice and smooth and we end up inviting the random to join our guild.

Wait... I might be missing the point of this thread

Oh and another horrible on Vet Cradle of Shadows with a 160cp. When the (third?) boss teleports, the tank has to bash him, and when the braziers go out, you need to relight them. I'm max level healer and our tank is going like crazy, bashing the boss, I'm healing, buffing, debuffing, ele drain, shards, orbs, you name it. We are like 5 minutes into this fight and the boss is at 86% health. 4 minutes later, and we are all running low on resources, and the boss is at 71% health, the tank misses a bash and we all wipe. The 160cp DPS starts saying, "The healer and the tank both suck! Which one of you isn't doing your job?" I left that group too, but I was triggered.

I know. Honestly I've PUGed 100s of dungeons on Xbox and you know the hardest thing to find? Top DPS.
So many mediocre "DPS". Yet they're first to call out tank/healer etc.

I once got three other people from zone. Queued us in when we were ready, and when I loaded in, they were all kicked by the Group Finder. Problem is, I wasn't kicked from the instance, so I ended up having to solo the dungeon for my random daily. Thankfully, normal Fungal I is a breeze.
