How does this work across regions? I am in EU but made a character on the NA server and have my crowns there, just nothing I bought on the other server. So, your points are pooled across regions but purchases are region-specific?

I don't buy crowns

I do not usually buy crowns even if they are on sale. The last time I bought crowns many months ago I regretted it moments later. For me ESO's base game provides more than enough entertainment without having to spend my hard earned cash to enhance it.

I generally do not buy crowns outside of my ESO plus membership, but I wanted to have enough for a few things coming out later this month that I can buy outright, before everything neat goes inside crown crates.

That's one way to put it. Others call it "naive". ZOS will make sure you'll get all of their useless pets, hats, consumables and other items you never wanted which basically means you give them money for nothing. And the best thing about consumables is you can win them infinitely. But that won't stop you from trying again and again because all their really amazing items will now end up in crates. Partly thanks to your support.

If no one buys them they will have to remove them. I've seen this too much in other games - it's always the same. And especially ZOS isn't exactly... generous in their prices and way of business.

Bought 16,500. The merchant is going to be handy to have, despite being somewhat overpriced (the sale helps that a bit), and I got the nightmare steed, because it looks fairly decent.

Thinking about the zombie horse, and maybe a couple of the transmogs, assuming they're not priced ridiculously.

The crates they can keep. I'd tell them where to shove them, but getting an infraction for honest feedback isn't worth the trouble.
