They essentially utilized genetic engineering through selective breeding to modify and better themselves. They have mages so powerful that they get really old (Vanus Galerion), or ascend past mortality (the Wilderking/Queen)

Funny that I never played them from Arena through Skyrim but I leveled 4 to max rank with the old vet system (one for each class) and kept another as a low level storage alt for ESO.
