Primate What's-his-face keeps killing me

I'm trying to beat a boss on the dark brotherhood, Primate Guy-Who's-Last-Name-I-Already-Forgot. The guy who freezes time. How do I beat the guy? The npcs helping me say to flank him but the guy constantly turns to face me. So I wail on his shield and he periodically puts red on the ground under me and freezes me. I just take lots of damage, which might be because I'm a blood starved vampire. That is if he's doing flame damage. If not I'm just not a very gud scrub.

So can anyone help me please? Give me advice on how to beat this guy?

If I remember correctly, kill all the adds when they are up, then when time stops, hit him. Back and forth till he's dead.

Ya I was ignoring the adds. That's a good idea to kill them when his shield is up.

I seem to remember this was a much harder fight when Dark Brotherhood launched.

I have recently done this fight with alts, and it was a breeze. Not even worth mentioning.

Btw, what usually kills people is the fact you have to break free from his stun.
They either don't know they need to break free. Or possibly, they don't have enough stamina.

I suggest you use stamina sparingly in this fight, wait for him to "stop time" at which point you break free from the crowd control effect. This is the time to kill him.
