Guys,... thing are really weird....
So. For all this time Launcher try to install me game once more time to my Mac
Here:

Renaming old folder, deleting new one doesn't helps at all.
So I strated to dig in ESO files. And pls look at this screenshot:

This is Launcher file icon "Launcher"
Then I go to next folder:

And then I found another icon "ESO"

I click on it and THE GAME started. Without loading interface. It goes directly after playing Intro to my Character screen.
Over Character screen it was small screen (see previous users post) where I have to choose EU or NA server. I choose EU and GAME STARTED!!!
I can easily access into the game....
And it really weird!!

it isn't a bug, it just doesn't automatically let you select how many. you need to split the stack, first.

Can anyone help me.

I updated the new patch left pc all night was so slow, next morning played the game to test was fine logged pc out next day logged on had to run the update again???

So I did over night same again played fine logged pc off to my shock that same has happened again?

I really don't wanna waste another evening downloading for same to happen again

Please help!!!!

I know how frustrating it is SandraOwen. As it stands I am unable to play the game the way it is. Monday's incremental update should hopefully fix several problems. Then when they release Update 13, that should fix a lot of problems.

Its just downright shameful that the ESO Dev Team did this to everyone knowing there was going to be problems with the game after patch 2.6.4 cause of very very poor testing or NO TESTING whatsoever. It boils down to them not caring about their players base and caring more about their incoming money from the store, their bread and butter.

In time the game will get fixed and hopefully to a playable state.

Feeling slightly bemused by this thread.

When my launcher tells me it wants to repair, my first instinct is to check my bandwidth as that seems to trigger the repair message if it gets too constricted (which it does a lot cos my connection is a wifi dongle in a block of flats: needs must when the devil drives). So there's that.

Therefore once I had downloaded the update, when I got the repair message I assumed it was a bandwidth issue (oh yeah, ping app showing 'connection timed out', 'can't find the server' and 'no response' messages) and so simply restarted my connection (yay! pinged average 68ms response time -like I say wifi in the UK; so anything under 170ms is gravy): Bingo, bye-bye repair message, hello play button.

The defaulting into the NA server threw me for a moment or two, but I quickly sussed out for myself that resetting to 'Live', then resetting back to 'Live-EU' before entering my password ALWAYS gets me into the EU server without any further issues.

My heart really goes out to those who are experiencing so many issues and having to log in and out and repair and reinstall etc, but I also wonder if perhaps there isn't an element of some people expecting there to be serious complications with such a major change to the game and responding according to that expectation, instead of first making sure that there were no local factors involved and/or solutions they could implement themselves. (Speaking from experience: my launcher 'died' (or should that be 'dyed'?) back when the armor-tinting update came out, and only after I reinstalled the entire game at great waste of time and money over a year and a half later did I realise that the launcher was failing to patch properly because some new neighbour had suddenly started choking nearly all the bandwidth reaching the building by streaming webTV all day -presumably with incorrect settings on their connection- and that if I had just patched after they went to bed I wouldn't have had problems with the patch and could have been playing all that time. Hindsight as they say.)

Hi, I had the problem where the launcher froze on the loading screen, this old post I found works for me.

If you find that your ESOTU launcher is stuck on loading while using a Windows 10 machine, you should follow the process below:
Download the installer for ESOTU by logging into your account at https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/ and clicking on Download Game.
In Windows 10, open the Control Panel.
Click Add/Remove Programs.
Uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86.
Uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64.
Restart the PC.
Run the downloaded installer install_ESO.exe.
Select to install both DirectX and VC++ 2010 Redistributable and complete the installation.
Restart the PC once more and run the game launcher.
The game launcher should now function properly

I'm using WIn 7 though. I did try this yesterday, but I didnt reinstall the whole game, only the redist. Maybe I'll try again.

That being said: please hire some (more) professional debugging staff. The best you can get.

FYI, this is a fresh installation from Steam, done on a fresh Windows installation (with all the updates, redists, graphic drivers and other related stuffs already installed) on a new hard disk. So this is pretty much an installation done from scratch.

I am currently experiencing the same issue. Right now, my launcher is not loading nor it is patching. I cannot play the game without the patch!

On macOS Sierra here. After 5-6 sets of Downloading-Patching the update was done, and I thought the EU Server problem at login was solved. I don't want to rub it in, is not the end of the world, I can play. Do your best to fix it, thanks

I'm getting critical errors as soon as I hit play. I'm on NA Server. When I opened the launcher it wanted to do a repair. I did a repair, downloaded small patch and loaded game to get a fatal error. Unable to play at the moment.

Lol, ZoS QA department is a joke!

I'd like to believe they have fixed the group bug in PVP but judging from the fact they have not even fixed this bug then the chances are not good. I can only assume ZoS are not bothered about the negative effect this level incompetence has on their player base

I had no problems logging in until today. The launcher ran a repair and then wanted to download a 3200mb update. Then a 22 mb update. Ran through real quick and 50 gig update?

This is just getting old now. Never been annoyed at any of the bugs in this game. Just got on with it but this is now making me quite frustrated. Never played on the NA server. Never. Now my launcher won't go off NA and the game is stuck logging into the NA server. Do you seriously test this stuff before you lay it on us, because from here, it doesn't feel like it.

I just got a launcher update. This update still shows "NA" server.... And the server selection still not working. I think it's being investigated but... I thought the update should fix this but I were wrong.

I don't get any updates at all. My launcher is still stuck as usual.
It seems that if I can't get the launcher to move past the initial Loading screen, it won't update, it won't patch and I won't be able to play anything at all.

So I guess I'm pretty much in limbo. Back to ... anything else that I can play then. DotA 2 sounds fine.

after today's patch, when launcher was updated, it asked to install entire game, however game is installed.
tried to run it directly or via steam, still says to install game. i can run game directly but cannot login due to outdated client.
any advice how to fix?

I was already having issues before Monday's patch (lagging, graphics not rendering, stuttering, black shadowy figures appearing everywhere instead of players with armor etc), and I'd hoped the patch would fix them. Now, however, I can't even log into the game. The launcher eventually gives me the first splash screen and sticks there forever. I'm an ESO Plus member, and I loved what I saw of One Tamriel, but basically I haven't been able to play for several days.

Thanks for any assistance in solving all the problems. Glad I'm not a dev right now

Downloaded a new Launcher this morning (Oct 11th). The problem on the server is still the same, the announcement doesn't say "Welcome on the North-American server..." anymore, still is chosen by default. The trouble for me is not solved yet. Also I noticed, the launcher pre-One Tamriel had a little green-red dot, was handy to know with just a quick sight if system was online or not. Just to let you know. Thanks.

No, launcher is still a bucket of bolts. NA is defaulted. So unless there is an update that works after this second maint. slot, which is running as I write this, four hours after it started on 11 Oct, then I will be ... how can I put this ... very sad?

It seems to me that nobody is testing this stuff. If they are it is not in a setup that all of Europe has.

Give us a check box or two or some button to select which server we want and make it stick.

Give us a little light to say if my server is up or down.

Give us a break.

And when all that is done give us something to do other than farm zombies, farm bosses, farm pledges, farm trials. I mean zone content and vast chunks of it, not tiny things that came with the thieves and assassins. Because that is what PVE is in my book, questing, discovery, extremely rare items and enjoyment. Not just pandering to a pvp lobby.

I long to see the far corners of Tamriel.
